Do not take notes and keep phoning
I had a call from this company, saying that I am paying too much. When I asked them about this, they asked what I was paying - how can they say I am paying too much if they do not actually know?? I explained that they needed to contact our IT section, which they said they would do.
The following day I had another call from them about the exact same thing. I told them that I had explained everything the previous day. They apologised and rang off.
I have just had a third call from them about the same thing. I told the woman that rang that I had gone through everything last week, but that they did not seem to be taking note. I politely declined speaking further. Within five minutes she was ringing back.
I've had enough of these calls! I do not want any more! I will not be as polite next time - be warned!

I’ve had an extremely poor experience…
I’ve had an extremely poor experience with this company. They have repeatedly messed me around, made endless excuses, and consistently overcharged me without any proper explanation. Despite having a clear, legally binding written agreement, they refused to honour the terms we agreed upon.
After I moved to another company, they suddenly began charging me for amounts I was never informed about and had no knowledge of. This feels completely unjustified and misleading. Their behaviour shows a serious lack of transparency, fairness, and respect for customers. I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to be extremely careful, document everything in writing, and think twice before signing up.

Tom & Jamie for the win!
Where do I begin?! We originally had a perfectly fine business line contract with NBC, no drama, no nonsense, just good old reliable service. Then, for reasons still unknown (possibly a plot twist written by someone who hates a peaceful life), our account got transferred to Chess ICT.
Spoiler alert: it was downhill from there.
We requested to remove 2 of our 3 phone lines. Simple, right? Apparently not. Thanks to a glorious mix-up, all 3 lines were terminated. Yes, they yeeted our entire phone system into the abyss. No phones. No contact. No customers. Just us, staring at silent handsets like it was 1992.
We reached out to Chess ICT for help, but their support team must’ve been on a sabbatical to Narnia, because the only response we got was tumbleweeds.
Losing the will to live, I turned back to NBC and that’s when I met the dream team: Tom & Jamie. Not all heroes wear capes, some just wear headsets and know what they’re doing.
Let’s be clear: I wasn’t even their customer anymore! But did they run for the hills? Nope.
Did they sigh heavily and tell me to call someone else? Also nope.
Instead, they picked up the pieces of this telecom trainwreck and gave me regular updates (actual updates, not “we’re looking into it” for 12 business days). They reinstated the correct phone line (hallelujah!) Not only that, they transferred our account back to NBC where we belong!
They spoke with empathy, clarity and a sense of humour. They treated me like a human, not a problem. And after the horror show (that ended up taking months to resolve), that alone felt like therapy.
In a world full of Karen's and hold music that could break your spirit, finding Tom & Jamie felt like discovering the customer service version of Batman & Robin. Except with fewer gadgets and more actual results.
Bottom line:
NBC - keep these two! I'd recommend a bonus or at minimum something decent for lunch!
Chess ICT - maybe stick to playing the game.

She then aggressively tells me if I do she will ring straight back away! Outrageous, I'm disgusted.
In a time when communication technology…
In an age where communication technology has advanced significantly, it's easy to fall into the trap of sending unsolicited emails in an attempt to reach potential customers. However, we kindly ask that you refrain from sending unwanted and uninvited communications, as they can be disruptive to busy professionals.
Please note that I have already reported several emails originating from the NBC Cloud domain as spam.

Speculative call - pushy and rude
Speculative call just now, which sounded great, but guy on the call got increasingly pushy and rude when I started to dig for reasonable details of the contract he was proposing with Connecting Britain.
He clearly assumed that I was going to be honoured to be 'chosen' for a better wholesale rate on my telecoms, and this I would be stupid to pass up the opportunity, but it all just smelt a bit iffy!!
Got to the point where I'd had enough of his attitude, so I left the call.
I'd love to know if this was genuine, but it really didn't didn't feel like it

NBC have been absolutely fantastic with me… took out a business comms early last year but fell behind with payments and eventually put my head in the sand and avoided it until Lottie hyland got in touch and managed to get me on an affordable payment plan before it got to much for me and I took out a DRO but Lottie is an absolute credit to NBC and she deserves every credit to NBC

What a great company to talk to!! From being a clueless customer to absolutely understanding what we needed, why and when. Speaking to Nick Burrill gave me the confidence that he was knowledgeable and patient, working with me to find us the right communications package for our business without "overpaying" for services we did not need. It was refreshing to receive such good advice, and a very efficient service to get everything set-up quickly and efficiently. A great company from my first experience and one I would recommend if you are looking to change provider of your business communications requirements.

Firstly, where do I start aside from my disability and being bullied by both companies. I have been getting billed for something that I wasn't aware I'd had, even though I'd shared personal information with them, so I called up the company to explain my condition.
I had a conversation with a couple of people, and then in the end, Jamie.
I was sent a voicecall by a Chess member, and I was saying in the first communication with NBC, about being okay with my mobile initially until at least July and currently being in my education establishment along with things about my health. None of which they had asked me for any support for my condition as a vulnerable individual. I remember this call, and actually. This did come off, and enquiry presented online. I then got inundated with companies, including NBC.
He should have left me alone at that point. As having sensory issues and also other sensory issues, to include sound, noise, and voices. I can't concentrate authentically with the noise and a pushy salesperson I always seem to zone out. I can hear the voice, but it's like I do not necessarily understand the words. Even though I'm replying. I know it doesn't make sense to the average person, but people who has my condition can experience these things and more, due to being so v-unwillingly trusting. Nonetheless, they must have convinced me, but in my head it's normally to get them off the phone quickly and leave me alone, as this is not the first instance I've been exploited by these companies. I gave one my complete bank details before, but the company dissolved it with my evidence and diagnosis.
Anyway, I asked in one specific call "if you're providing me with this so-called service, what calls have been made from this said number, or incoming calls from my customers and so called traffic, etc. They said they would find out and I'm still waiting. There were also no reciprocation to them by me via email, from all the correspondence they had sent. Surely another red flag.
Cut a long story short. They want me to pay for a service I've not even been receiving or have ever used. So, I asked them to take me to court. I'd rather show the judge my medical records and report from a psychologist to back me up.
Now, does anyone else think this is okay to do this to vulnerable people like me. I'm definitely not happy being a sales commission number.
Update 21/02/25
Chess ICT took over the customers at NBC and have also taken their share, and both of them are not going to issue me my funds back. Chess ICT said if NBC cancelled it then they would.
However, in my last conversation with Jamie, asking me not to warn my customers about them but will allow me early termination, but I would have to pay the fee. Are they serious these people. No humanity or compassion. Legal thieves in my personal experience with them both and advise all of my business associates to avoid them like the plague.
So I'm no more forward, instead rather backwards. I've even been to hospital with chest palpitations due to this problem.
Now they will try to hide my experience, scramble my comment with Trustpilot from public view. Pooooor.
