Severe safety hazard on a 3-week-old €1,000 scooter – Completely ignored by supportReview Body:I am writing this review out of sheer disappointment and frustration with NAVEE’s European customer support. I purchased a brand-new NAVEE UT5 Max directly from their official store, utilizing a 15% marketing coupon (SUMMER15). The scooter was manufactured in April 2026. I began using it on July 21, 2026, for a short, gentle daily commute to work in Berlin (2.2 km each way, totaling less than 5 km per day in perfect summer conditions). After just two weeks of light usage, the vehicle suffered catastrophic, life-threatening electrical and mechanical failures:The throttle randomly locked into full acceleration on smooth, flat surfaces. The motor's "Boost Mode" spontaneously activated itself without input, including right after powering the vehicle on.After riding on damp asphalt (not even in active rain, though the scooter is advertised with IPX5 water resistance), the rear assembly began making an extreme metal-on-metal grinding sound. The rear tire now makes a loud, highly abnormal friction noise specifically when leaning or cornering to the left. When I contacted NAVEE support, their initial response was a massive corporate safety contradiction. On one hand, the agent explicitly told me to stop riding immediately due to "serious safety concerns." On the other hand, they demanded that I record a video proving the intermittent throttle lock and boost activation—an instruction that would require me to risk my physical safety in live traffic on a defective vehicle. When I pointed out that capturing a video of a random full-throttle glitch while stationary is impossible, they finally backed down and offered a repair.Because a vehicle costing nearly €1,000 should not suffer life-threatening hardware failures within 21 days, I formally exercised my legal rights under German consumer law (§ 439 BGB), rejecting a repair of a fundamentally compromised chassis and demanding a brand-new replacement unit.Last Saturday, I sent a formal notice outlining my address, the exact list of manufacturing defects, and my statutory demand. On Monday, support agent Keaton sent a generic stalling email stating the issue was forwarded to a "specialized department." Since then, absolute silence. It is now the end of the week, and NAVEE has completely gone dark.I am losing money daily on wasted DEVK insurance premiums and forced to buy Berlin S-Bahn bicycle tickets just to get to work because NAVEE delivered a dangerous product and refuses to handle the return logistics. Their utter lack of urgency, respect, and interest in a customer who was sold a defective, unsafe vehicle is appalling. If you value your money and your physical safety, avoid NAVEE. I am currently preparing external escalations to consumer protection boards and the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA).
