What went wrong
What went wrong! for a start our local branch couldn’t do it for several weeks. An appointment was made at the Ipswich branch, which is 21 miles away. An appointment was made for a Monday morning, we were on route, when I received a call to be told not to bother coming as the new screen was scratched. Another appointment was made for Wednesday, this time we drove all the way to the depot to be told that the 2nd screen was scratched. They then arranged for the fitters to come to our house and fit a new screen two days later. From the initial appointment to actually fitting the windscreen took 3 weeks, all this time we were unable to drive the car, except to drive to the depot, as it felt unsafe. I have informed the Insurance Company who they recommend National Windscreen that it is a terrible service you get.

The fitter was very good
The fitter was very good - quick and efficient.
I was not impressed that the windscreen had not arrived in time for the fitting to be done at my home, as booked, and that I had to drive to Sproughton to get it done whilst I waited - or I would have had to re-book again (on previous booking it was raining). Otherwise would have been 5 stars

Time was messed up again luckily the engineer moved a job about. Still got rubber seal hanging from frame finger prints left all over windows glass on passenger seat.

Overall disappointing
Whilst the replacement was good the experience beforehand wasn’t so good. Twice before I actually received the replacement I was booked in and the first occasion the replacement had been damaged and on then2nd occasion no one showed up. I received no call to advise what had happened and had to chase up myself. What compounded this was that I took two afternoons off work unpaid for the missed appointments

The first team came with the wrong…
The first team came with the wrong window and told me that they had re ordered the correct one. I also called to check this had been done.
On the day of fitting,
I had a phone call to say he was on his way and he talked me through what he was going to be doing. Took around 40 minutes. I went to see the completed job.
Very impressed, no mess or damage.
