A minha apreciação global é boa. A Van que escolhi - Califórnia - era uma verdadeira Lady vintage van (com tudo o que isso implica) mas para uma primeira experiência de viagem a solo, foi impecável sentir todo o suporte e comunicação com a equipa da My Van Portugal. Numa próxima vez, continuarei com a My Van Portugal certamente, mas talvez experimente fazer um upgrade ao tipo de carrinha ;)

Had an awesome experience with My Van Portugal! Vintage van has everything you need for a standard camping experience with the luxury of a full kitchen. Keep in mind when renting a vintage van that it is actually vintage. Bumpier and makes a few more sounds than a modern vehicle but that’s all part of the charm. We had a very comfortable stay, even when it was raining - which was half the time we had it. Easy pick up and drop off and clear communication. Would absolutely rent with this company again :)

Once again a great experience! I have been renting a van from these guys now multiple times and each time was absolutely amazing! Super easy and convenient pick up and drop offs, fast and friendly contact all along. The vans include everything you need and especially the older models give you that real vintage vibe! Never had any issues or problems can highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to do a surf trip or just sightseeing through portugal!

I had the most incredible experience exploring the Algarve in a van, and it was absolutely unforgettable. Traveling this way gave me a true sense of freedom and connection to nature – waking up by the ocean, enjoying breakfast with stunning cliffside views, and falling asleep under star-filled skies made every day magical.

The Algarve itself is breathtaking, with golden beaches, hidden coves, charming villages, and dramatic coastal roads. Having the van allowed me to discover off-the-beaten-path spots and truly embrace the adventure at my own pace.

A special mention goes to Alex, the owner, who was always available, kind, and ready to help with anything I needed. His support made the whole experience even more enjoyable and stress-free.

If you’re looking for a unique mix of adventure, comfort, and unforgettable landscapes, I can’t recommend a van trip through the Algarve enough – especially with Alex’s excellent service. It’s an experience that will stay with me forever.

Vi lejede en campervan fra My Van til en 5-dages tur i Portugal, men desværre levede oplevelsen langt fra forventningerne. Allerede ved afhentning blev vi skiftet til en anden model end den, vi havde booket, og undervejs oplevede vi flere alvorlige problemer:

En defekt forlygte, som skulle tændes og slukkes manuelt hver gang bilen blev startet eller slukket – både upraktisk og en potentiel sikkerheds-/lovmæssig risiko.

Bremserne fungerede ikke optimalt, hvilket gjorde kørslen utryg og langt fra det, man kan forvente, selv af en ældre bil.

Batteriet skulle oplades næsten dagligt, selvom vi kun brugte køleskabet og ikke var afhængige af aircondition/varme.

Vi gjorde udlejeren opmærksom på problemerne og foreslog en rimelig kompensation - vi fik en "kompensation" på 35euro (clenaning fee), som ellers var blevet trukket fra vores depositum.

Alt i alt havde vi en tur, hvor vi måtte bruge unødvendig energi på bekymringer om sikkerhed og funktionalitet, i stedet for at kunne nyde rejsen. Vi kan desværre ikke anbefale My Van som en pålidelig udlejer medmindre man er klar på at tage en risiko med sikkerheden.

The van looked fine and ran good for my trip to the Algarve. It was an hour from the airport to pick up the van and 30 euros so that was kinda painful. Then a couple days later the van started missing and actually dying in the road. VERY DANGEROUS had to put into park, foot on the brake to start again, all while in traffic. Was told that the contract says they have 2 days to correct So I would have had to wait 2 days for them to bring another van. Luckily I was able to get running again and it seemed to be okay. I did this 2 more times so I really never trusted the van to go far. Maybe they would be faster if it was in the middle of the highway.
They advertise 57 euros a day. I was charged over 120 a day because of high season. No AC unless van running so High Season means you sweat a lot.
Be sure to film the entire vehicle for damage I didn't video the top part of the van and got charged for a tiny dent near the top of the rear window.

I ended up only 'camping' in the van for 4 nights out of 3 weeks with it. Rented an apartment that had AC, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom for less than I was paying for the van

You will really want to look over the contract. The 48 hours to fix a problem is not great. I looked back on my contacts and got automatic replies for at least 3 of the times I tried to text on WhatsApp.

Yes the van ran okay most of the time. MOST of the time is not good enough. It should run right ALL of the time. Dying in the middle of traffic is terrible and dangerous. Not good for the vehicle either. Needing to keep one foot on the gas and the other on the brake to keep it running makes for some 'exciting' starts and stops. The missing issue happened 4 different days. I went through about a tank and a half of fuel. Did what they said, run it down under a quarter and put in the expensive diesel fuel. Happened 3 times after that so blaming the fuel is false I feel.

I've upped my star rating to a 2.

I did appreciate them giving me a 50 Euro discount when I asked to add 6 days to the rental.. So I paid approximately 2500 instead of 2550 euros for 20 days. I ended up not picking up the van earlier that the 3:30 pick up time (later than most hotels) and dropped off the van a day early receiving no credit for either. Did not use the grill or shit bucket either which I paid extra for and didn't receive any credit for that.

Let's just say I won't be renting a van again from these guys.

It was our first time going on a trip with a van, so initially we had some concerns about the experience as a whole. In the end it turned out to be maybe the best trip of our lives. The van was really comfortable, had everything we needed, easy to drive and simply ideal. Alex was always available for any questions or assistance and we couldn't recommend My Van Portugal more to anyone!

Check In and Out was very easy, everything was explained very well through a very good video. Alex is super friendly and I could reach out to him every time.
