I also fell scam to a mystery box and received a pair of ear phones. I ordered 2 boxes that was to contain 50 items each via an amazon add on facebook. I constantly emailed them, logged a dispute with my bank providing all order and correspondence details. They agreed to a refund of 30% however as they weren't able to provide proof they fulfilled my order I have received funds back into my account. IMPORTANT- These people aren't anonymous- they have merchant ID'S to receive funds. They are all traceable. My advice is to pursue them, it's the only way they will stop. If Visa etc receive this information their merchant id can be cancelled so they will have to set up all over again ' if enough people do it they may start a legit business to save them the hassle. Hope you all pursue these people and get your money back. My earphones will be donated to a Christmas appeal we have here for needy families. So thank you to my scammer for contributing to our Xmas appeal. 🙏🙏😁

I recently bought a 5 item mystery box from J star UK via GoGroopie.
Well I received only 3 items and not 2 of the items were useless plastic things.

Should have gone with my gut feeling, instead I fell for this SCAM.

I purchased a Super Giant Mystery Box for US$59.99 a Box of 80 items ,after nearly 3 weeks received a pair of knock off ear buds which you can buy for around $10 on the usual cheap Chinese shops.
Amazon should be ashamed of putting their name to some of these SCAMS and should have put a stop to this in the first instance.
The company initially offered a 10% refund and I keep emailing with my proposal of either sending the other 79 items or a refund of 80% and I keep the ear buds....no hope in hell I know but I will continue to harass them, they're now offering 20%
Wish I had read the reviews first as I normally do!
Now I will make a point of it.

This is a dastardly scam.
When you enter the site it says 24hr flash sale....well I entered the site on 6/11/23 and again today 10/11/23, the 24hr sale is still on and the number of boxes sold remains at 138/150. This is aimed to make you panic buy and play on the feeling of missing out. This site is designed to dazzle and panic you into making a lucky purchase, ( when in reality it would seem they have a surplus of dodgy earbuds and cheap tat ready to ship as soon as you complete checkout). They say the more you spend the more likely you'll be to get better content, this is also another ruse to make you upgrade your original purchase because it would seem that you cannot lose.
They picture the box in such a position that you truly believe you're getting a big box full of stuff but instead it's a small box of nothing.
This is a scam!!!!! I am so glad I researched before throwing money into the pockets of some seriously unscrupulous people.

Scam. Free gift but Want to charge you shipping to get your credit card information. Don’t fall for it. They try to take advantage of your greed and stupidity.

Visited Temu but did not purchase anything. Now receiving daily emails from 'different_name' at gmail.com asking me to click link to see what is in my Temu mystery box

I bought a $2 mystery box from Temu or so I thought. So far I have had $270 dollars taken from my visa account by four different websites. I’ve now had to cancel my credit card and don’t hold out much hope of being reimbursed.

They sent a package with no street number on it to Australia from china then ask for more money to resend I definitely did not pay more asked for refund but was told that that’s not how you run a business lol yea a scam of a business

Purchased gift box for 2€

Believing I had a box of multiple unknown items ordered and excited for it's arrival, I eagerly awaited my shipment. Only to be disappointed when the shipment brought a small bag with one small item (a knife). I was upset and feel scammed, so how do I prove this?
I filmed the opening of my purchase and decided the fee for postage was in no way close to what they charged and headed to the post office. I asked for a paper copy of the total shipping cost if I were to send the item back to where it came from. The cost of the return was not even 1/2 of the postage I was charged by the mystery box company.
The advertisement is deceptive and in every click of the order process they try to sell you the items that are shown to be inside the box that you are already purchasing. Then I looked on Amazon for this exact item and it's cost; was nearly what they charged me for shipping and if ordered from Amazon, the shipment was free.
So you see, this is a scam.

I brought an electrical mystery box from liquidators.com, it said the items were all returns from Amazon and there was ment to be 10 items inside. I received a small package with earbuds inside.. worth £4-£14, very annoyed as there is no way to contact them over the phone only email, I haven’t received a refund. Stay away, they are definitely scammers in china

Bought a Waglos Mystery box from Amazon, only to find it was as from a third party on Amazon Marketplace and shipped from China
The box was tiny and contained 2 items, a cheap watch
(Mechanical) from a Brand I never heard of, without its original packaging or instructions And a pair of cheapo earphones like you get with a phone
Amazon say no problem, just print out a returns label and pay to ship,it back to China!
