This reservation was made over 40 days in advance via the Airbnb platform as an instant booking, which constitutes full acceptance of all listing terms at the time of confirmation, for 6 guests over 3 nights, checking in on May 1st, a public holiday. All applicable charges, including the public holiday check-in fee and tourist tax, were clearly stated in our listing at the time of booking. During those 40 days, our team sent multiple messages to the guest, none of which received a reply, and no questions were raised about fees, charges, or the check-in process. Concerns were only communicated three days before arrival, outside the cancellation window, and included a request for a free cancellation, which in itself indicates the listing terms had not been reviewed beforehand.
We responded promptly, explained every charge clearly, and provided supporting documentation. Our team also checked in with the group on two separate occasions during the stay. At no point were any concerns raised in person or via messaging.
The check-in process is conducted in person and as required by Catalan tourism law, mandatory guest registration and ID verification was completed, a legal obligation we take seriously on behalf of all our guests.
