Well I didn't even get to meal one. Rang them and left a message, 5 hours later no one had called. Went to the website and spoke to the 'Chat' icon, was as useless as two men short. First thing it did was ignore my question and give me payment options! I then rang again and got the same automated response so gave up. Instead of bragging about you Canstar award on your recording, how about picking up the phone to cutomers?

Out of all the frozen meals delivery, I would say muscle chef is definitely one of the better tasting ones but it is also one of the pricier ones so keep that in mind.
The app can use a bit of work - it can be pretty messy to navigate. Most of the menu are either chicken or beef. I usually just go with the bundles to save some dollars and time, but because I can't eat beef, I have to reselect everything again on my own. Wish the app will give me the option of excluding beef to make my life easier when selecting meals.
Can use more pork options. Their pulled pork is surprisingly really good.
Lastly, my major gripe with muscle chef is the packaging. It is very much NOT sustainable despite whatever the website says. After the RedCycle plastics collapse, soft plastics can only go in general bin but muscle chef most of their packaging are from soft plastics especially the gigantic aluminium foil insulated bag. It is so unnecessary as there are already ice packs inside. Major waste every week. I hope muscle chef can revise their packaging and stop making use of large plastics. Youfoodz doesn't use it and their food stay nice and cold. Lite n easy probably the best when it comes to sustainability as they recollect their boxes and packaging every time they deliver. Wish muscle chef can do something like that.

Very disappointed by the lack of care, delivery and customer service by MyMuscleChef. Yes, the product works however my partner has now had 2 deliveries in three 2 weeks that have been complete and utter messes.

For context we have both used MyMuscleChef at 2 different locations so they have knowledge of where we are and hae the photo evidence to prove it.

First delivery, 3 weeks ago...it didn't even leave the loading bay. It got left there. Solution offered was oh we can resend that box out - unacceptable as no way to determine food safety or quality at that point. Would have been on the dock for 24 hours. So their remediation was they would give 3 weeks free with Guarantees there would be no issues.

So we got 2 deliveries fine then this week. Meant to be delivered Saturday - no communication or notification. Home all day - didn't arrive. Contacted them on Sunday - it was delivered to a completely wrong address and group of units (single vs double story). They sent photos and asked us to prove it was wrong. After sending photos and getting them to reconfirm previous photos and successful deliveries they agreed wrong address. Option was a another free delivery (not worth the risk now, right) or a refund.

So, yes, muscle chef meals are good BUT there is no guarantee you will ever see the food so my advice, just go to the shops if you dont want to have to spend extra money and actually eat for the week.

The best tasting ready-made meals, with a huge range. They also have protein bars, cookies, muffins, and other items. Ordering online is a simple process, and setting up a subscription means you don't need to do anything, unless you want to swap items. I've subscribed for several years now. One time there was a problem with my order, which was quickly resolved within an hour.

Broad variety of meals, relatively easy website to navigate, and excellent customer service. Have had some issues with the delivery company, however My Muscle Chef were friendly and pro-active in assisting me in my process.

Op 8 januari 2026 heb ik voor €75 een bestelling geplaatst bij Muscle Chefke (ordernummer ORD29276). Tot nu toe heb ik geen levering ontvangen en helaas ook geen reactie op mijn telefoontjes of e-mails.

Ik begrijp dat dit mogelijk een startend bedrijf is en dat er dingen mis kunnen lopen, maar duidelijke communicatie zou veel onzekerheid wegnemen. Ik hoop alsnog op een oplossing of terugbetaling.

0 communicatie en geen maaltijden. Bestel hier niet! Ben 60 euro kwijt en heb niks.

Slechte communicatie....1e bestelling kwam ontdooid aan en duurde erg lang.. Tig keer over gemaild, wel 1 keer reactie gehad met excuses en dat ik 15% korting zou krijgen op volgende bestelling en ze vertelde dat ze op dat moment geen fijn personeel hadden gehad...die maakte er een potje van....maar verder geen reactie, nadat ik zei dat ik graag nieuwe maaltijden wilde ontvangen....omdat ik deze dus niet meer kon eten......en ik geen 15%procent korting wilde....maar geld terug of nieuwe.

Toch na maanden weer geprobeerd...besteld track en tracé nr ontvangen, maar nog steeds niet aangemeld bij post nl..ik weer gemailed......
Ze reageren nergens op...weer betaald..en geen bestelling ontvangen
Zo naar dat ze amper communiceren.....
Lees hier nu meerdere revieuws.....en zie ik dat ik niet de enige ben.....
Dit is dus nu de 2e keer zo behandeld te worden....als ze binnenkort niet reageren, ga ik aangifte doen ( dit schijnt voor online bestellingen ook te kunnen) ........zo ga je niet met mensen om.

Nou ff een positieve noot. Ik heb dus 4 januari een bestelling gedaan van 28 maaltijden en ik vond het raar dat ik geen qr code kreeg en heb daar een mail over verstuurd. Het duurde langer dan normaal voordat ik een antwoord kreeg maar goed. Wel het juiste, ik had dus zelf NIET goed gelezen. Het heeft uiteindelijk allemaal langer geduurd dat ik graag gewild had maar ze zijn super netjes aangekomen en zijn ook nog eens erg lekker.
Ik bestel de volgende maand weer, maar mannen er is echt nog werk aan de winkel ivm communicatie maar goed zo groeit je bedrijf en wordt je steeds beter. dus ga zo door en ik zal de aankomende maand genieten van jullie lekker maaltijden. Tot over een aantal weken gr Jeroen.

Testmaaltijden besteld, na een week nog steeds niets ontvangen, geen reactie op mails of tickets

Well, first I tried the Massaman last week and it was awful mush. I thought I'd give it a second chance tonight with the Thai red curry.....mush. Both times I had difficulty actually finding meat. Both were very disappointing. Won't be buying it again.

EDIT: MMC has gone downhill big time. Absolutely no love in the meals. Little things like chefs cant be bothered peeling carrots. They just get chopped, steamed and lugged into the red boxes. Same with chicken. Its just steamed and some sauce thrown on. Trash. These meals are worth no more than $3-5 i realise now im getting ripped off. Most of the high protein meals claim to have 40-50g protein. Thats lies. The portions are tiny and the actual serving of meat couldnt be more than 50-100g max. With the size and the contents of the meals there is no possible way the high protein ones could consistently hit 40-50g protein unless they were fortified with a protein source and there isnt anything suggested in the ingredients. False advertising on the labels surely. Delivery drivers are morons. Twice in 3 months my order has been left at the wrong house and once in the bin compartment of unit complex. Incompetence at its finest and rubbish food. Im done here.

Purchased Garlic Chicken Risotto on 06.08.2025. Two thirds through my meal and started chocking. Something was lodged side to side at the bottom of my throat.. took a minute or so to cough this item up to where I could reach it with my long fingers. ( eyes watering/ very panicked) This item appears to be a blue wooden splinter off a wooden pallet over an inch long!

Contacted company and all they are interested in is obtaining the meal ( advised not to supply by food safety authority)

Notified company id would return meals to woolies to then be offered an insulting 25% off more potentially contaminated meals by My Muscle Chef customer service

Who would think after choking on a product that you'd want to support and purchase more!!

First time I have tried this brand and definitely the last. When removing the cling film I found myself staring at a seriously unappetising brown sludge. After 2 mouthfuls I binned the remainder -dry, flavourless and gristly. Do you guys actually try the stuff before pushing it out the door? I cannot imagine how this could have passed any quality or taste control.

I place an order Sunday afternoon then I looked up independent reviews and saw that there were a lot of negative ones so two hours later I sent an email asking for my order to be cancelled and my money refunded. A company representative replied today saying that my order was due to be delivered in 6 days, it had been placed in a queue and it was IMPOSSIBLE to cancel it. And if you believe that, you'd believe anything! I sent a copy of my emails and the company's reply to PayPal and I received a refund from PayPal within 30 minutes which shows what they think of the company's ethics. I would be very wary of dealing with My Muscle Chef.
