What a scam!!!! I will NEVER buy a gift card from this place again! I hope i can help others to avoid this company. You will be charged monthly fees until all of the money is gone. An "inactivity fee". What a joke. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs!

The monthly fees on this card are out of line. I was saving my gift cards for a big purchase, but went to use it today and there were no funds left on the card.
The back of the card states, “At the beginning of the 13th month from the last day of card activity, a $3.95 Inactivity Fee will be deducted from the Card balance each month that the Card remains inactive, except where prohibited by law.”

What isn’t stated is that the “activity” is the actual activation of the card!!! This is not fair and should not be legal.
The card should state that the fees begin 13 months after initial PURCHASE of the card, not the first use of the card.

DO NOT BUY - SCAM!

I received this card as a gift in 2022, but I never activated it. The back of the card clearly states that "At the beginning of the thirteenth month from the last day of card activity, a $3.95 Inactivity fee will be deducted from the Card balance each month that the Card remains inactive".

I didn't activate this card until May of 2025. There was never any card activity. That doesn't matter. They simply bled the card dry anyway. I had to deal with a foreign call center that was slow to answer and would not put the money back.

I've been trying to reload my prepaid fancard at CVS where I usually go to around twice a month for reloading and my card is being declined it says that my card is inactive so then I went to Walgreen's and it to says my card is inactive then I called fancard customer service number around twenty times and I get a message saying that this number is unavailable please try your call again later so then I emailed fancard customer service support and never got a reply back. I'm not sure if this company has went down & under & out but either way as a customer for years I wasn't informed of them shutting their business down permanently and if that's the case fancard is bad business and extremely unprofessional and not trustworthy

I bought the card s a way to buy online game things and it will not work. Matter of fact, I've tried it online at several places and it doesn't work. Now, I can go to my convenience store ND it'll work fine. Overall not a good card.

I love fancards! Money is so easy to transfer from bank to card! When you make a purchase, you are notified within a few minutes of your purchase and remaining balance! So much easier than carrying a lot of cash around! If you have a question, a real person will answer it for you! That is a rare quality these days! I will definitely recommend this card to everyone!

Fancards is easy to use. I always know exactly how much I am spending. I love getting notifications about purchases and I don’t have to worry about my card being compromised. Plus I love everyone knowing what team I cheer for.

At first everything was fine until my account got suspended for no reason I was asked to complete verification on my account which I did . I kept calling them everyday on when my account will be released as I have bills to pay!!!! one of their rep told me my account will have a resolution in 1 hour now its 24hours still nothing this is very bad!!! keeping me from using my money I really regret using this card!

These a~holes have been holding my money hostage for over a month. Supposedly sent out a check over 3 weeks ago, still haven't received anything. I call and email everyday, with no response. Contacting better business bureau

Love my card and service, down fall is the fees,but other than that I'm happy with the service . recommended them

I love Fancard! I direct deposit money and use it for my fun stuff. It texts you what you just purchased and gives you an up to date balance. It's easy to transfer money from your bank account. It looks great and you get to show your fan pride!

Great company to have an account with. Customer service is outstanding, and they will work with you if you have an issue and will do everything they can to fix it!

I've had my card for years with minimal problems and quick service

Fancards is awesome! The app is easy to use and I love that you can get your favorite school on your card. Another thing is you get selected to win certain prizes. I won tickets for a basketball game.

Great card with my Clemson logo on the front. Unsure why they need to put “prepaid” on the back. Had a hotel refuse the card because they said they didn’t take prepaid cards. I actually handed them another prepaid card without “prepaid” on the card and they gladly accepted it. Otherwise this is a great product. I love getting the text notifications.

Gives me the freedom to buy using a card without going over budget.

I absolutely love Fancards. They have been nothing but wonderful to us. The card itself is very user friendly. If you ever email the company, it is to a real person that is extremely nice and very helpful. They are always having contest and sometimes they just email you and see if you can attend your favorite colleges sporting events. Thank you so much Fancards. Glad I can say I am a cardholder and customer.

This is the worst card ever. I mean ever!! Tried to order online at Kohls. Would not go through. Called them. It went through this whole automated and said you can not use to buy gas or use online unless put your zip code in. I did. Still would not work. After 25 minutes on phone got a rep. They just kept saying its the merchant. Called merchant and they said its the card. I called fan card again and it went through the automated again said the same thing about using online & put zip code in. I did this twice again but it never accepts it. Finally got a rep on phone again and I told her I figured it out why it isnt workeing online cause not accepting my zip. She just kept saying merchant. I said listen to me, I will talk slower and maybe you will understand. She had no idea what I was talking about. Put me on hold and never got back on the phone. same thing with first call. This is a rip off organization. I imagine people get aggravated and just do not use the card. Makes them money if you cant use. Worst organization ever.
