1.Bait-and-switch pricing: The original quote provided was $3,000. However, upon arrival on the pickup date, the driver unexpectedly informed us that the price had increased to $5,600. While the initial quote included our mattresses and side rails, it omitted the headboards; we are concerned this exclusion may have been a deliberate tactic to lower the initial estimate.
2. Significant delivery delays & broken promises: Our furniture was initially scheduled for delivery on May 11th. Unfortunately, due to extensive delays, we did not receive our items until June 1st. Prior to booking, we explicitly emphasized that we were leaving the country on May 16th and repeatedly confirmed with multiple representatives that they could meet this deadline. They assured us numerous times that it would "not be an issue," yet completely failed to deliver.
3. Hostile customer service: When we raised concerns regarding the severe delay, instead of offering a resolution, a customer service supervisor resorted to intimidation. We were threatened that because their base is in Fort Lauderdale, any attempt to pursue legal action would require us to travel there personally to attend court. This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable.
And there are many more pitfalls than you can possibly fathom.

Horrible the worst.been waiting for my stuff. Was told it would be delivered on Saturday or Sunday today is Tuesday and I was told to call back next Monday. I was told 3 to 15 days now that said 21 business days the picked my stuff up 2 weeks ago and it's still 1200 miles away. This is ridiculous. I almost forgot.. when they came to pick up my stuff they were a day and a half late. They showed up at 730pm with 1 person to move all my stuff.leaving my son and me to have to load all the heavy furniture into the truck. If I ever see my stuff again I will be realy surprised

Caused over 50K of damage to out things and they offered $200 for replacement. JUST THE WORST COMPANY EVER. And our customer service "rep" could not be bothered to return calls. Also our things were 2 weeks late. RUN DONT WALK FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

They lie from the beginning. Promise no up charges or additional fees then neglect to tell you the initial charges are broker fees, it the actual moving fee. Then they savagely underestimated the cubic feet of items to move (by 100%). So, what was initially quoted as a $4000 move ended up costing over $11,000. I have no idea how this is legal.

At first it was a pleasant experience and really thought that they were really going to be affordable the quoted me a good price better than any other moving company (red flag).Put my deposit down electronically signed the contract. Moving day from California too Tennessee that’s when the nightmare started. The moved ended costing more money like over 5,000 more than first quoted, and we had sign a different contract because it was a third party moving company who didn’t send the right size truck that we requested. Never again would I use APT movers and I will definitely let others know as well

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!! DO NOT USE MovingAPT!! They are NOT a moving company, they are a broker. They will subcontract the job to some god-awful moving company, who will in turn subcontract it to another horrible moving company, and so on, until there's zero accountability. Your stuff got broken in the move? Good luck figuring out who actually moved you, who to file a claim with!! They charged me DOUBLE what they initially quoted, including charging me for an additional stop WHICH NEVER TOOK PLACE BECAUSE THEIR MOVERS SENT AN ABSURDLY HUGE 18-wheeler truck that would not fit in or anywhere near my storage facility. Not only did they charge me an addt'l $250 for the second stop that never took place ... they charged it IN TRIPLICATE -- once by each moving company involved! They also charged me the $499 broker booking fee in triplicate. Their invoicing could not be more opaque. There were last minute date changes, non-existent communications, all kinds of delays. Then, when my stuff was on finally on a truck and somewhere in Baltimore (it was being moved from CT to TX, I put several AirTags in my boxes to track location), they called and said I needed to pay an additional $500, else they can't guarantee my stuff would be delivered at all!! They held my stuff hostage for ransom!! JUST. DON'T.

I wish I had read the existing reviews before choosing this company, as I would have seriously reconsidered using them. Hopefully, my experience helps others make a more informed decision.

I recently moved from Las Vegas to Connecticut. Before speaking with Moving APT, I had already contacted two other companies and had actually decided to go with another provider whose quote was about $300 higher but willing to negotiate. When I called Moving APT, the sales representative I spoke with, Lane, persuaded me to switch to them by committing to a delivery timeline of approximately 10 days, which was my top priority.

Unfortunately, it ended up taking an entire month for my items to arrive. I also paid over $1,000 more than the original quote because Lane had not included everything we discussed in his estimate. After a week passed with no updates, I called to check on the status of my move and discovered that my belongings had been picked up and placed in a storage unit and had not even left Las Vegas. They were still waiting to find a driver. It was at this point that I learned Moving APT is actually a brokerage, not a moving company, something that was never explained to me.

I tried reaching out to Moving APT several times but could only reach their service department, which could do nothing more than "leave a note". Lane stopped responding to the number he originally provided, so I emailed him expressing my frustration about the 10-day delivery promise and the fact that my items hadn't even left the state after a week. His response was simply that he understood my frustration, and he provided me with the number for someone named Andrew.

When I spoke with Andrew, he admitted that Lane had made commitments he should not have made and said he would look into my delivery timeline. That conversation was on a Thursday. I waited until Monday, but after hearing nothing back, I called the number he gave me, only to reach the service department again. After several days of repeated calls, he finally got back to me almost a week later and told me my items had just been picked up and should arrive within 5-7 days.

Seven days passed with no update. On the eighth day, I received a text from someone at Moving APT asking if I had received my items. When I told them I had not, they said they had just spoken with the moving company and that my belongings would arrive within a day or two. It ended up taking nearly another full week before my items were finally delivered, and I had to pay an additional $700 upon delivery.

Moving APT is not who they present themselves to be. They will tell you whatever is necessary to secure your business, their communication is extremely poor, and they do not follow through on the commitments they make. This has been the worst moving experience I've ever had, and I hope others can avoid the same situation by learning from what I went through.

Run! I would put zero stars if it was an option. My suggestion would be to not do business with this company. Unethical business practices. This business is a broker, which means they contract your move to the cheapest contractor to pack and ship your belongings. In our case we cancelled the move entirely due to unforeseen circumstances, and are now fighting over the refund. Their agent, Ian promised a full refund if cancelled within 7 days of booking, but they insist on keeping 10%. We will now have to get our attorney involved to sort out the mess. I'm actually glad we did not go with them after what we've experienced to this point. The last thing I want is for them to hold our items hostage while they try to extract more money before delivering - that seems to be a common occurrence that others have experienced.

Never Use Moving APT – Beware

I chose Moving APT because they had good reviews for long-distance moves, but my experience was terrible from start to finish.

Everything started smoothly when I reached out. I carefully went through my inventory, measured everything, and settled on a price. But when moving day came, no one showed up during the scheduled window. Hours later, the driver called and said they were stuck on another job and would come the next day. After rearranging work and childcare, they were late again.

When the crew finally arrived, it was only two guys — despite me paying for a full pack. They had no packing materials, so one left for over an hour to buy supplies. Then, despite the fact that I had sold several large items (couch, tables, TV stands) from the original inventory, I was told my cubic footage was too low and the price went up.

Packing was painfully slow, and I couldn’t get anyone from dispatch on the phone — calls would ring and then disconnect, with no way to leave a message. The driver then tried to pressure me into paying more than the agreed-upon deposit.

Delivery was no better. Instead of arriving on a moving truck, my belongings showed up in an old sprinter van with a trailer. Items that were taken apart at pickup were not reassembled — I was told that wasn’t their responsibility. The movers also tried to charge me extra because they didn’t want to carry my dresser upstairs.

Overall, this company was unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. Moving is stressful enough without dealing with this. Please do yourself a favor and choose another mover. I will never use Moving APT again.

I used Moving APT company. I will never use this Moving APT, and I don’t recommend to anyone. It was friendly initially as soon as we agreed then price went up. I was moving from Michigan to California. Took 50% deposit and they hire worse Moon Moving Service. They ask for other 25% charge just load the boxes in the truck. The driver didn’t speak English so it was difficult to communicate so he gave me phone for his boss, and he will talk to me after I gave him 25% of moving cash or check and they don’t accept credit card. The truck driver didn’t have any way to secure my goods in the truck. He was blaming his company for not providing the required tie down net or rope. My neighbor had few ropes that he gave to driver. Delivery was late for three days (it took 13 days instead of 10 days they promise) he will not deliver until all remaining money in cash he receives. I paid the cash. He unloads the boxes and goods were damage, boxes were open and broken. 30% boxes were missing. I asked him and he didn’t have any answer. He pretends not to speak English. I was about to call police, but I was not able to stop him. I call their company next day and they told me they will, cover my damage and missing goods. He called claim company to send me the claim form. I filled out claim form & I send the claim company all the required documents and damage goods pictures. The claim company is finding excuse that damage goods pictures file is very big therefore it cannot add into their form. We call customer service that we cannot load all the pictures file, so he asked us to send via email. We did and few days after he called and said that they are not allowed to download the attached file. He asked us to mail all the documents and pictures, and we did mail the documents and pictures. Again, few days later he said he didn’t receive our mail. We send certified mail, and we didn’t get their response yet. They all liars and not trusted able moving and claim company. They don’t answer the phone and never return my phone. IO left the message that I am going to call better Business Bureau and complain about moving and claim company.

This review involves two moving companies working together to defraud a customer. Moving APT (Miami, FL) and Best Choice Moving Services (Raleigh, NC). After some 10 + moves over 60 years my wife (who has dementia and Parkinson’s) and I at age 80+, contract with a 3rd party mover (Moving APT Inc - Miami, FL) in May 2025. I did not believe their negative reviews. I only looked at the positive ones. Big mistake, their job was simply to pack and move household goods from VA to MO. (800 Miles). We live in a one bedroom one living room apartment (no kitchen). Due to our health we requested a turn key move. We paid Moving Apt $3,800 up front with credit cards. They, not me, hire a carrier named Best Choice Moving Services (Raleigh, NC). The carrier arrives at 10PM on 24 May. Immediately driver gave me a blank Bill of Lading which I refused to sign. Driver said no packing and moving without signing. Agreed to sign if the same quoted dollar amount $3,800 and a 29 May delivery date were kept. He said of course. After packing and wrapping some of the goods he demanded $2862.68 in cash before he would load the goods. He now completes the Bill of Lading showing $9,400 as the new total. A $5,600 increase and he states he has 21 days to deliver the goods. This far exceeded the 29 May date agreed upon by Moving APT Inc. Driver took the cash and then said he must unload the current partial load going to New York in a warehouse. I told him to load boxes and furniture into the current available space. He refused to load the truck. I said take one piece of furniture and load it, he refused again. At that time I cancelled the job with him and informed Moving APT Inc. that I was cancelling due to non-performance. Driver would not give back cash and he did not address the damage he had done to the four apartment walls. I have to pay an additional $900 to the lessor. He departed with the cash. I rented a Penske truck the next day, loaded it and transported goods to final destination. I requested Moving APT refund money and they refused. They said Best Choice Moving Services LLC had already delivered the goods and were paid. I said Best Choice Moving Services did not move any goods. Moving APT requested info on Penske truck I rented for $2,800 which I emailed to them. Shortly after, I receive a call from Best Choice Moving Services requesting info on truck I had rented. I asked for refund of cash payment and they refused. Said they were filing with insurance company and they would subtract their time and material costs from any refund. I could expect a 90 day delay. Both companies failed to do what they were paid to do and that was pack, move and unload our household goods. I paid both moving companies over $6,600 to move our goods and an additional $2,800 to rent a Penske truck all totaling $9,400. Both companies took the money without completing the job and tried telling me they had already delivered the goods.

Worst scammers on the market. The company they referred to us, kept postponing our moving date, and finally we waited on moving day & night with not even a call to cancel.
Was told the movers were still at a house where they had to move an entire upstairs of furniture that was not on “the list.” Next day, we had the same scam pulled on us for an extra $1200.00 in added cost.

We’ve given Andrew and his Supervisor at Moving APT over five weeks to look into what appears to be a systemic problem of “losing page(s) off the original list,” and not considering what the customer provided as the actual list of belongings. They undercut the market to take your business, and then upcharge without any factual data.

You will hear things such as: 1)You must sign up today to get a discount. 2)Prices will skyrocket next week. 3)We can move your items, reducing the wait on the timeline if this is done verbally over the telephone.

When we arrived at our new destination, the movers held our belongings hostage. Ready to take the truck with our items, if we didn’t surrender the extra cash on the spot. No credit cards. They warned us, we will get fired if the Broker knows we are cutting you this special price to avoid their take. Moving A.P.T. is fully aware, and doing nothing about it.

Please be warned, and sign us off as regrettably unsatisfied.

MovingAPT did a great job at the sales portion. They communicated well and constantly until I signed the agreement. There was a 3 day window for pickup & delivery, I was told the week before I would get a call to tell me when the pick up would be scheduled. Turns out that call was just a confirmation of what I was packing. They would call me the day before to tell me when they were coming. Except I didn't get a call until I called 3 times and that was to tell me they still didn't know when they were coming and would call me in the next day or two.
Fast forward to delivery. It's been over a week since my stuff was picked up. I still dont have it. And trying to get ahold of anyone between Moving APT and the actual transporter is impossible. I've been calling multiple times every day and can only get someone on the phone if I use a fresh number they don't recognize. Awesome customer service. Where is my stuff??

They were brokers, not the actual movers, and once they had my money, they were out of contact, and never returned any calls or texts. The moving company they gave the job to, Eazy Movers out of Miami, was terrible, showing up late for pickup, communication/language issues, and not accepting my 1/2 payment by credit card at pickup. Then they failed to show up on the promised delivery date, or the 2nd promised delivery date. After that, they showed up on Super Bowl Sunday, and refused to unload my stuff without payment in cash/money order, which I was not told, and unable to do anything about on a Sunday. They finally came on Wed Feb 12 and took over 6 hours to unload, after I spent 8 days in an empty place with nothing, and was forced to pay over $1K more than my initial estimate, including a redeliver fee. Neither Moving APT or Eazy Movers have called me back since, in spite of several attempts to reach them. I don't know who these people are posting 5 star reviews, I don't believe any of it, suspect they are phony reviews posted to keep their rating higher. DO NOT USE this company!
