Motorpoint - Portsmouth Omdömen 

Bought car 5 weeks ago. Came with 3 month Motorpoint warranty. I also paid for extended warranty. After just 430 miles car developed a fault which could cost at least £1500 to fix. Motorpoint and their warranty company refuse to honour the deal.

The conversation went great, the proccess of reserving the car and have it transported to my preffered location was easy, Josh was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable when it came to extra products such as extended warranty and paint protection.
I will definitely try motorpoint again in the future if i'm looking for a new car.

I always upgrade my car through Motorpoint. This is my 4th car. The process is so easy and they sort all the finance and old finance out so there is not too much for me to do.
Friendly staff at their Portsmouth showroom are all really nice too.

When I went in I was in a jam with my old car and needed to change it.
Megan was so helpful and understanding of my situation.
Nothing was to much trouble for her.
She made the whole experience so much easier than I thought it would be and was able to help me when other garages would not.
I cannot thank her enough for her time and support with getting me into a new reliable car.

Josh was a delight to deal with - any questions he couldn't answer, no fudging, he found someone who could. Also didn't keep trying to 'sell' me things I said that I didn't want the first time around - like a new set of mats for the 'bargain' price of £99 [(a) why bin the ones that must have come with the car? (b) how daft does Motorpoint think we are? Got my set on the internet for less the £20!]. Please don't hold that against him - had he persisted I WOULD have walked out and the sale would have been lost (I have done that before).
Slight issue with the length of warranty - what was offered didn't seem to match with the wording of the Ts & Cs, but that was sorted out - and most generously too.
Another wrinkle in the buying process is the lack of Name for the account to transfer funds to - had quite a job convincing my bank that I wasn't going to hand my money to a scammer, especially as the name I guessed didn't match!
Only real problem was that the battery that was due to be fitted on the Friday, prior to me collecting my 'new' car on the Monday afternoon wasn't, and had somehow been delivered elsewhere - Josh hadn't been there to chase up on it. Perhaps a simple solution would be a whiteboard on the wall somewhere, listing all cars due for collection and any issues with them so that, if the salesperson in question is out, someone else can keep an eye on things?
Also, the tyre pressure warning light lit up on the first, dark evening (new one on me!), but that was sorted by another young gentleman - Riley I believe - the next day, who also showed me how to reset the 'trip' meters.

The sales person was very polite, knowledgeable and striightforward.

I thought the sales guys were very friendly , honesty is a must if someone says they want or don’t want a certain thing in a vehicle, be honest with them tell them . I’m very happy with my purchase and would use motopoint next time I purchase a car

Found that they had a good selection of quality cars and fairly priced.
I had reserved the car of our choice with the 149 deposit and agreed with the salesman I would pick it up in 5 days time and pay the balance, that same afternoon I received a call saying I had 48 hours to pay the balance or they would put the car back up for sale, this wasn't explained at the time. After a few calls they agreed to Keel the car until the agreed date, I did feel a bit pressurised about this.
Other than that the sale went smoothly.

Excellent service from the staff, who really hunted and found me the car at the price, I wanted.

Very impressed with how easy the purchase was and staff were good at making you feel comfortable. Only negative is that you won't negotiate on price which i feel will put people off. I couldn't even get free mats which would have been something.

As in the past with my many Motorpoint purchases, this was perfect. Excellent car, friendly, professional staff.
