A great company that offer products of a very high quality, and have some of the best customer service you could ask for.
The service I received was amazing - after seeing a picture of a bag I liked they went out of their way to find me something similar. I was so impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

When it comes to bags only the best is good enough and here at The Montrose Bag Company on the North East coast of Scotland, we put heritage and skill at the heart of what we do. Our parent company, Montrose Rope & Sail was founded back in 1789 to serve the Scottish fishing fleets. Fast-forward over two hundred years and MR&S is now the go-to provider of robust and durable all weather tarpaulins and kitbags for rig workers in the North Sea. Using skilled craftspeople and working with 100% waterproof materials, The Montrose Bag Company manufactures to the same high standards to create a complementary range of bags that can tough it out in the most testing of conditions. Over the last forty years countless offshore workers have come to depend on us for the specialised kit bags, backpacks, and other equipment they need to enable them to do their jobs safely and skilfully. But it’s not only oil industry professionals who value what we do. Time and time again we were asked to make our unique range of durable, versatile and reliable bags available to a wider audience. And so having invested in new cutting-edge technology we launched The Montrose Bag Company which builds on four generations of heritage and experience. Using the same skilled craftsmanship, the same tried and tested materials and the same passion for perfection, we’ve extended our range to include bags and luggage that everyone will be proud to own. From shoppers to totes, backpacks to holdalls we manufacture everything here at our headquarters in Scotland for export all over the world. From rucksacks to holdalls, travel bag to totes, The Montrose Bag Company has got your luggage needs covered. Both offshore and onshore there really is no better bag. All Weather Bags Engineered to Perform Outdoors. Trusted heritage since 1789. Authentic, Durable + Hand Manufactured in Scotland. Built to Last.

Great bag from an honest company
I liked the honest 'everything is custom it will be ten days' conversation. The bag turned up faster than that. It is well put together and fantastic value, I think.

Really pleased with the quality of bag
Really pleased with the quality of the bag and felt that it was fairly priced.
Took it as a carry on bag on an Easyjet flight just a few days later with no issue.
As a suggestion the orange of the bag was an amazing match for Easyjet's orange - reckon you should be chasing a contract to supply bags to their personnel !!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review David. We really appreciate it! That bag was originally designed by our MD's son, who was travelling abroad and flying with Easyjet. Good to know that it still meets their carry on luggage sizes.

Ordered a Lee Day Rucksack.
Really happy with the quality, design and feel of the product. It’s a clever use of tough rugged material with some design finesse.
Has a ‘premium’ look and feel but at a great price, and with the added bonus of being made right here in the UK.

Thanks Sarah. Glad to hear that you are pleased with your iPad pouch.
Quite a disappointment for a handmade product.
This bag has a fairly cheap feel to it - not at all what I was expecting. It doesn't appear to be very durable - there are already permanent creases in the material - and yet it is quite heavy. It is also poorly designed as the flap is difficult to open and the plastic clasp is redundant (why would you need velcro and a clasp)? I had the impression from the description that there would be an outside zip pocket for easy access but there isn't one. The strap is very heavy and uncomfortable. The inside, frustratingly, is black making it impossible to find things. Literally any other colour would have been better. There is only one tiny inside compartment. I can't imagine where I would possibly use this - it looks like a giant mail carrier for a mailman. Please use better photographs and description on your website so that customers are not confused.

Thank you for your feedback David. We are very disappointed to hear you are not satisfied with your Messenger bag purchased last month and we will do what we can to rectify the matter. Our bags are hand manufactured using industrial strength 610gsm PVC coated polyester which is extremely durable and tear resistant. We have been making bags for over 40 years and they are the industry standard for the Offshore Workforce, and we supply them to all the leading Oil & Gas Companies all over the world. They are high performance, built to last and will survive an extreme amount of travel and outdoor activity. We use the same material to manufacture large protective covers for equipment on Oil Rigs and the PVC is resilient enough to withstand the elements in the harshest environments. It is our goal to provide the highest standard of service to our customers. Please allow us the opportunity to discuss your concerns further and seek a resolution.
