My mini rig stopped working, ( I’ve had it 6 years) I messaged mini rig, no interrogation by mini rig, they sent me a new cable free of charge! Can’t fault their customer service and couldn’t be without my mini rig 🙂

I bought 2 speakers and a subwoofer. The sound is loud with great base and treble. I have connected mine to an Astell & Kern SR25 portable audio player and a Chord Mojo portable headphone amplifier combination setup, which both play in Hi Res audio. I've found that Minirig speakers have the capability to reproduce crisp, clean and detailed sound with punchy base, high treble and clear vocals. Minirig speakers can sufficiently be regarded as audiophile grade that real music lovers will appreciate. I would definitely recommend Minirig products, especially due to their excellent build quality and well thought out design in terms of their operation. I have already ordered two more minirig mini ll speakers and another subwoofer to add to my already excellent sounding system in order to enhance it even further. Please, bare in mind that I have mine setup in wired mode to avoid any disruptive latency issues with the sound reproduction, however, this is not to say that the bluetooth isn't any good, I've simply not tried it yet but have every confidence that it will work great due to the love and attention to detail that Minirig has put into their products. The customer service was of very high standard too with friendly and helpful staff members. In fact, it was a breath of fresh air to finally find a company that excels in producing excellent products that deliver the best and back them up with great customer service. A big well done to Minirig, I am really impressed and find it a joy to give you a full 5 STAR RATING! Bill Singh.

I liked the idea of a stereo with subs set up, but didn’t want to drop quite a lot of money in one go on something I hadn’t heard so I started off with getting a Minirig 3 for my birthday. It’s an awesome little speaker. Lovely balance to the sound and goes louder than you’ll need in a house. Satisfied with that, I added a sub and that was brilliant too - allows you to bring the volume up without sacrificing bass. I then added another 3 so I could do stereo and that was another eye opener; really really improved the experience. Finally I’ve added another sub and it’s now replaced my hi-fi.

Would be 5 stars, but…

As others have mentioned, the app is rubbish! It’s a good app when it connects but I can’t guarantee connection. It’s luck if it connects and more often than not, it doesn’t. This doesn’t bother me when just using the one side, but when doing stereo with two subs, having access to the eq and levels becomes more useful, but I can’t guarantee that I can do that.

I love the speakers and will keep on buying them, but please please please sort out the app!

Bluetooth is rubbish need a good update or sum thing

Best thing I've bought in years! Has brought music back into my life as something precious and meaningful. Great little device for someone living in a small space to have a pure quality sound that fills the air! Totally wicked!

Awesome speakers and great build quality too! I have two minirig 3’s and the Sub 3. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to the quality of the app. It would be nice to see a new app!

I have put 1 star because you can’t award 0. I purchased 2 mini rig 3 and sub at the end of 2020. I have had no end of trouble with them. The speakers have never worked communicating well over Bluetooth. The pairing does not work consistently and it is incredibly hard to pair the speakers via cable or Bluetooth. Which is really wired cause surely cables should work. There’s a very specific way to use the speakers. You can’t just turn them on, have music playing and expect them to share the feed.

I have installed the software upgrade and now I can’t even access the app, it times out so I am unable to set the pairing feature and ‘link’ the 2 speakers. My speakers won’t pair over Bluetooth and I am unable to use the ‘special mini rig cable’ I had to buy which enables surround sound (since u can’t get surround sound from pairing /if u use them for the tv they have a delay as soon as more than one speaker is connected via Bluetooth). These speakers have been a constant disappointment. Again and again I wish I had not wasted my money on these speakers. I have had endless communications with mini rig and they send me emails worded like I’m an idiot and can’t use tech when I have provided videos of how bad these speakers are.

The speakers seem to be confused and unable to work via cable when connected to a Bluetooth device and when trying to pair the speakers simply swap, never pairing. I thought the whole point of the MINIRIG was the pairing feature so you can connect a number of speakers. I repeatedly struggle to use them together.

I think if you want 1 speaker then it’s a hardy little one that looks good the metal finish gives it a sturdy look. They sound ok. However, I would never waste my money or recommend these speakers. What ever they had going in the V1 has been shadowed out by substandard tech which doesn’t work and the app is terrible. Save yourself the heartache I’ve had from expecting a high quality speaker.

The speaker is ok but nothing special. What is not ok is that Minirigs continues to send me emails trying to sell related products. I never signed up for these emails and they provide no link to unsubscribe.

I received a Minirig 3 in green for Christmas and it is even better than I hoped. Great looking, excellent sound and made in England - an absolutely fabulous gift!!

I have two mini and the subwoofer. What I like is not only the sound (whcih is way better than any product in this size) but also the excellent conectivity. They give you both standard bluetooth and standard audio in/out 3.5mm jacks. This is an oddity in the high end market where most vendors keep inventing propietary protocols, proprietary
audio connectors (if any), and always trying to control why you can do or not do with your devices.
Thanks to the standard connectivty I use them with my phone (via Bluetooth), connected to a mini PC (audio jack), sometimes with an AVR as surround speakers, and other times I even use the subwoofer in my car, by just connecting the phone to the sub and from there to the aux in to combine with the car speakers. With all the standard connectivity and modularity the possibilities are endless. Definitively it is not the typical tech product that will live in a drawer most of the time, you can be sure you will get all the juice from them with different uses over the years.

The minirig is a thing of beauty and was a present for someone who had lost their 1st one. They are soooooo pleased to have had it replaced and have had it in constant use. The sound is as good as ever.
As before, it arrived speedily and beautifully packaged.

I’ve had the MINIRIG 3 for more than a year and recently decided to treat myself to the subwoofer, I wasn’t disappointed.
The MINIRIG setup is superb, the sound is warm, reproducing all the intricacies of the music and loud when you want it to be.
The app allows the manipulation of the sound with its Equalizer and linking speakers is very simple.
The app needs updating to make it more reliable but this doesn’t detract from a perfect speaker sound.

Looking for something portable, easy to use that offers me mid range & low end clarity whilst making dance music on my laptop. I was slowly losing my hearing using headphones. Having the mini rig has answered all my hopes. Portable, durable and sonically up to the job. Thanks, I'm well happy. Cheers

I heard a friend's mini ring 3 for the first time 😃 I was very impressed that such a small speaker produces such a strong sound. I wanted one! And I have💪 Is great! Thank you!

The sound quality of the the Minirig 3 is SO good, it is deep, warm and rich and fills a room without sounding just loud or noisy. The battery life is immense too.
Only slight 'issue' is the current version of the iPhone app is a bit temperamental; but when it does work it has loads of great features to fine tune the speakers performance. But the speaker itself is wonderful and well worth the outlay...

Ive been using Minirig products for about a decade now and they never cease to impress! My recent upgrade to the Minirig 3 is aural heaven. Whatever will they do next?

First time I heard a minirig mini I couldn't believe the sound coming out of such a little thing.
So I bought one. Now my son and my daughter also all have one each because mine blew their previous Bluetooth speakers away.
For the size I don't believe you can beat the sound which is clear, warm and loud.
It's literally my favourite object and it goes everywhere with me.
I recommend to anyone who loves music.

Had a problem with the top ring falling apart on one of my Minirig speakers - when new it had a tiny crack around one of the securing bolts which I didnt think anything of until now when the whole ring just fell apart - as we were about to go on holiday I managed to dismantle the speaker and re-attach the power cable to the on/off switch and the bluetooth aerial and glue the ring back together as a temporary measure - it was clear from when I had it in bits that the securing bolts had been over torqued on manufacture and shattered the plastic ring so it was only a matter of time before it failed.
Then followed an excruciatingly long series of emails with customer services who said that as it was out of warranty then it should be returned at my cost and they would then charge between £10 and £40 to assess and repair plus the return postage - no matter how much I explained that I knew what the problem was and I had already taken the speaker to pieces and was quite confident of doing the repair myself, they point blank refuse to send the retaining ring, despite saying I am happy to pay for it, or accept that as a manufacturing fault that this should be replaced FOC. No wonder people dont buy British made goods if this is the shoddy response!
