I previously placed a large order with MGN and overall had a good experience. The products were as expected and customer service was helpful. My only issue at the time was that the website repeatedly emptied my basket during the ordering process, which was frustrating.

More recently, I contacted the company to place a smaller order and was disappointed to be told that I would need to increase my order value to over £200 and pay a minimum delivery charge of £30. I was also advised that deliveries are only made when they are already delivering in the area.

While I understand businesses have delivery policies and minimum order requirements, this made it difficult for smaller customers to place orders. My previous experience was positive, but the current ordering and delivery restrictions may not suit those looking to make smaller or add on purchases.

We were served by Alex at MGN romford. We are very happy with the service provided by him. He went through with us all the material we needed and guided us through.
Will definitely by coming again.

This isn’t your average builders merchants! the most accommodating and friendly team of staff of any merchants I’ve ever been to. They go above and beyond for their customers and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They all genuinely care about their customers, my new ‘go to’ store

I ordered products on the 29th of October 2025, I spoke with a couple of colleagues the week before, as I wanted same delivery - and they were very helpful.

I spoke with a female and a male, who I have to say, listened to my enquiry and dealt with it promptly - so that was greatly appreciated.

I ordered the products, and the professonalism, of dealing with my call, when I called them to confirm the delivery and when it would arrive, was exceptional.

I always give good feedbacks, where its due, and they were very pleasant.

However, the only issue I have, is I have 3 full lengths skirting boards, in my kitchen which are of no use, and for me to return then, I would lose out.

If in the future, you can possibly have a return collection policy, where it wont cost as much - this would be greatly appreciated.

I am absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of one of your employees who drives a Tesla and parks down Hammond’s Lane in Brentwood every evening. This individual clearly believes they own the public road and has taken it upon themselves to dictate who can and cannot park there. Let me remind you — this is a public road, not MGN property, and certainly not his personal driveway!

He is known for being rude and aggressive to local residents, including elderly people who have lived there for years. People have been told how to park, found rude notes left on their cars, and been spoken to in a completely unacceptable manner — all from someone wearing an MGN uniform. It’s disgraceful behaviour and completely unprofessional for someone representing your company.

To make matters worse, this man continually complains there aren’t enough spaces, yet takes up two whenever it suits him. If the spaces are full, he uses a driveway he has access to, but complains if anyone else parks in “his” spot. Stop being selfish if you have access to a driveway then use that and let some others use the public road, the whole road is talking about the selfishness. He even uses his car to block spaces for friends — and then criticises others for doing the same. The hypocrisy is astonishing.

This behaviour has left elderly residents upset and anxious about parking on their own road. MGN needs to take responsibility and train staff properly on manners, respect, and how to behave when representing your company in public.

Sort it out, MGN. You should be ashamed to have someone like this acting as a reflection of your business.

Danny the delivery guy who delivered to us today was so polite and helpful. His manners went beyond helpfulness.

Great service from the team, every staff member is very approachable and always ready to help. Gem who is the gentleman that has been mainly assisting with my orders has always been very professional and helpful. His knowledge about the products is impeccable. He always receives me with a nice smile and likes to support with knowledge on special offers also shared to help the customer. Finally I’ve had fantastic drivers also delivering my orders, David and Grant were both nice and professional. All I would like to say is that we have a great company with great staff in Orpington.

When buying on website information is not accurate and looks hide.
Specially for nonrefundable material.
When buying in store none of the consultants mentioned about specific material refund/return/exchange status before buying/payment process.
The customer can find this information only if the product has been paid in full on the physical printed invoice paper.
When I asked for exchange (materials), I was refused even if the product had been collected 7 days ago.

Cannot believe their driver of the Tesla car was disgusting enough to call my 68 year old mother extremely disgusting and vile insults at the set of traffic lights in Brentwood. The male was a middle aged man with a thin receding hairline. He spent the journey from Harold Hill to Brentwood flashing his lights and using horrible hand gestures because my mother (who was going the speed limit) wouldn't speed.

It was very sad of the man his age to have music extremely loud like youths (that he certainly was not) but it was turned down at the lights to say (and I have extremely dulled this down due to the foul language) "speed up or move out my way". He then laughed in her face when she was visibility shaken and then he then was speeding off. It was a busy area that a lot of people were clearly disgusted at his behaviour.

As someone with my own successful company I would be disgusted if my staff acted like this and I will make sure all my customers are aware to avoid such a vile company. Hope he is happy that he has scared a old lady to not want to drive again.

His arrogance he has must mean he is a owner of the company so I want everyone to know how horrible the company is. When speaking to them regarding this on the phone they didn't care. Registration plate F14 MGN

I been using Mgn for sometime know my company buy property and do renovations on them and as so each property has its own account, we obtain this new property and it need a bit of work on it I ask if I could get first delivery as it was on a bad road and I could only obtain the parking spaces need to off load for a short time the sales offered me a date which was a week away, so on the day I obtained 2 spaces for the lorry to unload I hired 2 men to move the stuff 9:00 I phones and was told lorry’s in yard, 10:00 phoned again and was told lorry was on way from Woodford to load up in there yard, 11:00 phones and was told lorry would get here soon at 12:00 I sent the 2 blokes home phoned up and the man on the phone said I was lieing and I was a very small account and there will be no delivery on first run for me then went on to tell me I should be patient and stop phoning up, the lorry turned up at 13:00 with no where to park, I have told all my trades men to never use Mgn again and have set up a account with b and q.

I have had very good experience with this company. They deliver punctually and listen to instructions very well. Their prices are good and delivery is excellent. I have used this company a number of times, instructing them to call before delivery. so that I could point out the precise spot. They did just that, contrary to other builders merchants who promise you to call but they don't. I will keep using this company as I am satisfied with their materials and services. Thank you

After reading these reviews it's clear they Havnt got their house in order, I won't be buying my flooring boards here.
