I’m going to leave my bank card in a…

I’m going to leave my bank card in a pub Friday night and hopefully it will get into the wrong hands. I genuinely hope metro bank goes under. It would be worth losing £10 to see that. I hope they all lose their jobs they don’t deserve them.

I was scammed by an online merchant…

I was scammed by an online merchant imitating official government website. I didn’t receive anything but a fake passenger locator form with wrong name hours after my flight. I raised concerns with the customer services as I thought it was a genuine government website and they stated they need bank details to verify my ID but no charge was declared.
Many passengers fell victim and issued successful chargeback with their banks. Not Metro Bank which took the side of online fraudsters. Needless to say the website doesn’t even exist as it has been removed by Greek authorities.
I received a letter from Lauren Tipping from Metro Bank “respectfully suggesting” me to go to the merchant direct. This despite several unanswered emails which they have on record but haven’t read.
I’ve tried to call Metro bank and was transferred from one clueless adviser to another for over 1 hour and 20 minutes. Total shambles. Regardless of the outcome I’m going to close my account with them. This is no longer serious bank with competent staff.

No security. No communication. Zero customer service.

I’ve waited 3 weeks for a return email and/or call regarding money which was stolen from my account. No response. I’m effectively being told to write off a big percentage of the money which was stolen. Stolen through Metro’s highly questionable security measures.

Very bad banking

Very bad banking . Always locks you out if you spend too much . Happen to me on a night out . And they could not help because I have to go to the store . LoL . In a casino and night over because of metro . Customer service is poor . Always have to go in the store to do stuff . Just a very bad bank in my opinion

This is the Metro Bank in the USA

metrobankpc.com is a bank called Metro Bank in the USA. Most of the comments here have mistaken it for Metro Bank in the UK, whose address is metrobankonline.co.uk.

THIS BANK IS RAN BY ALI G...

This bank is the worst bank I have ever encountered, they constantly lose your money, when faster payments are sent to the account they go missing for between 12 hours and 10 days...
YES THATS 10 DAYS YOUR WAGES COULD BE MISSING!!!!!!!
When you ring up in distress and need help the phone is answered by children who have no clue about anything..
Stay away from these incompetent fools the bank is not fit for purpose..

Please read and try to understand the terms of your accounts

Some complaints of account closure, please read the fine print. Agreement papers. Before submitting a bad review, please be sure to read and understand all conditions of your account. A bank will not close your account with malicious intent, there is a reason. If you do not use your account properly, it may risk closure.

Was served by a young girl named Brionni in Manchester city center branch with very patient and helpful . Best received as a customer ever .

I’d give 0 stars if I could!

Metro bank is a terrible restrictive bank. I have only used my card to send payments to my mum and buy crypto like Bitcoin. I was sent Mail saying “your account is being shut down” with no reason. This implies metro bank is not friendly towards crypto users, and would prefer to decide for you where you should spend your money. I’m absolutely disgusted with this bank, RBS is much more Bitcoin friendly by the way.

Absolutely horrible service

Absolutely horrible service. Went in 4 times, they kept telling us we needed further information then wanted you to wait hours. Wasted a ton of time, finally had enough and walked out!

Dreadful Bank

Worse bank I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Customer service is non existent and having to constantly chase and consistently coming across a brick wall. The bank does not meet its own standards and obligations. This has caused my family and I untold stress. Currently referring to financial ombudsman as they are effectively refusing to engage with us and blocking access to my mother's money.

Account blocked without reasons and no customer supportt

I have just received a text message saying my bank account has been blocked for security reasons. Tomorrow I have to pay an important bill, I can't find any reason why it should be a security issue and the customer service is closed (should be available 24/7 but it's Sunday and they haven't been picking up the phone since this morning).
