Poor customer service
Brilliant system but let down by very poor customer service. No flexibility or understanding, and no lifetime subscription. Look elsewhere.
Unfriendly staff but resolved issues
Renewed my policy 6 weeks ago but haven’t recieved any notifications since. First night in a year my car was away from me, and the location wouldn’t update from January. Spoke to a very blunt and unfriendly man on the phone, he did resolve the situation but his customer service skills were appalling!!! And I was in CS for 15 years!!
Ripped off
Had a paid subscription for a year, changed my car after 9 months, and been told I couldn’t use the last few months left of the already paid subscription and had to pay in full again, wasting three months of subscription for no reason whatsoever apart from being ripped off.

Absolute Rubbish, AVOID!
I have had this product for about 3 weeks now. Absolute rubbish! It is scary that some people somewhere have access to your movements and your car all the time. They even can adjust settings on your personal app! But no one tells you this at the beginning. The guy that installed it also has access to your app and car!
The car moves even when the tracker is not available, meta trak calls to say the tracker is not found but each of the over ten such calls, the car was moving! The security is based on the fact that no tracker, no car movement!!! 99% of those who call are not interested in helping or letting you know the way forward.
The app does not communicate with the car most of the time. Wrong car location, dead lock immobiliser remains engaged even after you turn it off and claims by them that the network is poor all over the places you go even if you travelled from one city to the other or intracity from east to west.
I am looking for how to get rid of it, the money I paid notwithstanding.
There must be better products out there. Do yourself a favour - RUN!!!

My key n security tag was 60meter away from my car.
And Car was stolen over night
They couldn’t even locate the car

I called MetaTrak for assistance in setup up my new tracker.
The support I got was first class, with the customers assistant staying on while I enter the user credential several times, due to me using uppercase instead of lowercase, on my password.
The device is accurate and replaces another brand that failed after install
I couldn't have chosen better
First I looked hard for a tracker that suited me, then I read the reviews, unfortunately reviews seldom tell the full story, i.e outcomes of disputes, and very few people actually praise a company for a good service. My review is based on my story so far, and the way I've been treated is excellent, the companies communication is superb, they ans all my concerns regarding product, fitting, & tracking as well as on the ball information. Cath is the lady I delt with mainly, and Cath is spot on in her knowledge and information.
The recommend engineer who fitted the device knew his stuff, very pleasant to talk to, on time, and completed the installation professionally.

Had a Metatrak fitted by VW and not a great experience with VW.
But Cath at Metatrak has been absolutely amazing, sorted everything out and went above and beyond to make sure all ok. Had Metatrak on previous vehicles as well all with no issues 10-10
Absolutely crap
Absolutely crap. Worked ok in the first few months now constantly out of Sync with location, journeys etc.
Never had this issue with my Vodafone tracker

Absolutely rubbish. Car was stolen this morning off my driveway. My insurance company insisted I get a tracking device. Problems:
I had to tell them my car had been stolen. Burglars used the spare key without a fob
They would not tell me the location of the car.
Luckily I had an Apple Air tag in my car which I was able to use. The police immediately tracked the car and it was recovered albeit damaged.
Used Tracker in the past and they used to ring me if anything suspicious. Don’t waste over £400 on MetaTrak!!

I use metatrak both in our private car and also recommend it as our go to solution in our american muscle car club. The system is excellent and protected our car when a somebody tried to steal it on a trip. Far better than other systems available

I was customer for many many many years and to be honest I had the trackers fitted on all my vehicles 5 in total ! Customer service is shocking get your money and who cares !! Not prepared to listen to your problems and when they do they don’t care anyway !!
I told them that as the renewals were due they would not be renewed well now is the last one then we’re done with meta Trak - good product most of the time but management don’t give a jot - shop elswhere guys hit them in the pocket because they are obviously taking so much money from new customers they are not prepared to look after their existing ones !!
Poor customer service
I have six of their tracking systems and I have been a customer for over eight years. Meta Trak contacted me on 7 May to say that there was a problem with one of our vehicles systems and asked if I could call them, which I did. The vehicle location and movements are incorrect and since then I have phoned three times and each time I have been told that they will call me back, but they never do. The system for which I am paying a subscription doesn’t work.
I called again today and was again promised that I would be called or emailed back but nothing and my vehicle is still showing that it’s some eight miles from its actual location.
Absolutely appalling customer service and support. I have been a customer with multiple units and this means nothing to you. I will now take my customer elsewhere.
More than happy with quality service
Only glitch in four years was a slight comms problem over a bank holiday weekend but not one which compromised security. Four years of having my car protected -and don’t we need it - and I’m more than happy with Meta Trak service and quality of staff.

Awful software not fit for purpose
When it works its not real time data you're seeing! Rarely shows when the car is turned on. Voltage is incorrect. Displayed ignition as ON with battery voltage 14.7 when car had not been started for 20 hours. Left car running on drive apparently it done 0.09 km and I'd driven across the road through a neighbours front door to their garden to another house which it backed on . Voltage same as idle. I entered the car without the tag when I first bought it, I got an phone call, all other times nothing. What made it worse was when I emailed the Metatrak Customer Service/Tech they didn't seem that bothered. - Blurted out software processes, being a software professional I had to point out the failings on what they said... It's absolute garbage. I don't know how they get away with it. Unfit for purpose. Is my car protected from theft? Doesn't sound like. Very disappointed. Not cheap ..! Insurance insist you have this rubbish ..
Waste of money
Totally ineffective product. Had it for four years, when the moment of truth arrived, nothing. No alert, no tracking, no GPS data, nothing. Save your money and buy something ‘proper’.
