refund scam
I ordered a t-shirt for my boyfriend. I paid 67€ plus 35€ for shipping because I live in a country quite far from Germany. It arrived relatively quickly, but in the end, it wasn't right.
It looked like the cut had been botched, as if there had been excess fabric at the seam where the front and back pieces were joined. As a result, it almost looked like shoulder pads. Whatever, I wanted to sent it back because it wasnt good at all. Even if we stretched it, it looked bad.
So they sent me the paper to stick on and then told me that normally I should pay for the return at my post office. Okay, but at my post office they told me it was free because everything was already on the package. Cool!
Imagine my surprise when, a few days later, I received just 32€ as a refund. I wrote an email, confused, and they explained that I had to pay for shipping. This was followed by an exchange of emails and calculations because I didn't understand. They treated me like an idiot, telling me to go to their website and look at the return policy. I explicitly asked them to quote the sentence that stated they would deduct the return shipping cost from the refund. But no, nothing. Until the day I reread it for the tenth time, and then I understood which sentence it was. A very vague sentence in their regulations, designed to fool everyone. A final email citing a European law on transparency in regulations, and I was immediately refund. Don't be fooled, they absolutely have no right to do this. They must refund you the price of the product.
