Refund after I forgot to cancel free trial
I had set up an account a while ago, while I was looking for photos to use in a presentation. The plan for the presentation changed, and I no longer needed them. I thought I had cancelled my free trial, so was surprised when two payments came out. My administrator alerted me to the first, but I logged onto my Dreams account, as that is what the payment said on the bank statement, and there were no payments or card details, so I assumed it was someone else.
A month later it happened again, and no one had said it was them. My administrator contacted Dreams and it turned out it was a Megapixl account, which I had also set up, and had clearly forgotten to cancel my monthly fee.
We emailed them, and I explained the situation - and they refunded me everything.
I'm really impressed, a lot of companies wouldn't have done this. I recently went to the cinema on a Saturday evening, with three teenagers, only to find out that when I'd got home on the Friday, tired from work, I'd booked for the Friday evening, not the Saturday. They refused to swap the date around, I've contacted Cineworld, and they haven't replied in yet. A bit of goodwill would have gone a long way, but instead, I'm very unlikely to return to Cineworld now
