All good and worth the money
All good and worth the money. These are my own personal tastes which might restrict me ordering again. I ordered rump steak - for me too thin, I like as a minimum to be 1inch think 1.5 the better. These were more 1cm (would be good to be able to select thickness at ordering point) so did not use as steaks instead did a Stroganoff.
Disgraceful company - reported to Trading Standards
Late review because I stupidly thought the company might actually respond to my multiple emails and it took some time to go through the loops with Citizens Advice to be able to report this company to Trading Standards as scammers for taking payment online for the goods we never received/not being contactable nor trading by the terms and conditions published on their website. Never have I known of a company who provide absolutely no customer service, there is bad customer service and there is zero customer service. In this case its zero so they appear to be scamming people by stealing their money (£87 in our case) and trading off the back of the very excellent themeatboxcompany.co.uk. I hope they are closed down soon before others go through the same horrible experience.

Ordered a brisket amongst other cuts…
Ordered a brisket amongst other cuts for my father’s 70th Birthday, the box still hadn’t arrived by the day of the BBQ (five days after ordering). After managing to get hold of DPD they said that the meat had been damaged and they disposed of it but I had not been informed or refunded. This was two weeks ago and no one is answering the phone or has responded to many emails. I have still not received a refund for a box of meat costing over £75… !
Superb meat
The food comes packaged in what is in effect a cooler box and all meats stay chilled. The meat is superb, it tasted superb due to its free range source and no added water.

Excellent quality of meat
I am fairly new to Meatbox, infact this was my 2nd order with the guys.
The chateaubriand was outstanding, also we enjoyed the Fillet steaks. I’ll definitely be using them again.
FIRST ORDER
This was our first order with them.2 packs of smoked beer bacon. it was the worst smoked bacon, that my husband 97, and I 82, have ever tasted, completely inedible, even the Crows and magpies, which we tried to feed it with would not eat it.
We gave the company many opportunities to reply to our complaint, and have been completely ignored.
Gift subscription not sent
I bought a 6 month charcuterie subscription for my partner, with the first delivery set as the 4th of January. When it didn't arrive I contacted meatbox who, to their credit, sent out the box the next day - but never responded to my email. However, the February box is now 2 weeks late, with no communication or sign of delivery. I've contacted customer services once again, but I shouldn't have to chase them every month to provide the service that I have paid for

My order was for the 20th December 2022.
On ordering I was advised I would receive an email once despatched.
I received no email so after calling several times i finally got through. I was told that I would receive it the next day.
21st no email but notification from DPD saying it would be delivered that evening. When it arrived the meat was not even fridge cold.
I put it in my freezer as I wanted to return it and get a refund. I emailed meatbox twice and no reply along with many phone calls also leaving a message to call me back. When I finally spoke to someone it was agreed to refund me. I received my refund through PayPal. Then my refund was pending for over a week. Took it up with PayPal and also emailed meatbox.
Finally it was no longer pending.
The customer service is disgraceful never answer calls or emails.
I would not use this company again and would advise people to steer clear.
No sign of my order
Ordered a subscription for my partner's birthday and it didn't arrive on the date selected. Really disappointed. I contacted Meatbox but haven't heard anything back. Wouldn't recommend.
Aberdeen is in the UK!!!
Very disappointing. I ordered £50 worth of steaks on Friday and was sent a confirmation email. I was planning to surprise my wife with a late Valentine's Day meal on Tuesday, but that has now had to be scrapped.
Unfortunately I then received an email on Monday stating that my order has been cancelled as DPD could not deliver to my postcode.
I live in Aberdeen, not the other side of the world! Other courier companies are able to deliver to our address every day, so I am baffled why DPD could not.
Meatbox.com's website states that delivery is to the mainland UK. The last time I checked Aberdeen was still part of the UK mainland.
Very disappointing as I was eager to become a regular customer, so very sad that this has happened.

Very disappointed. We ordered a "Dry Aged Rib of Beef - Himalayan Salt Aged - 2 RIB (Approx 2.4kg)" for Boxing Day - to be delivered on Dec 22nd together with some sausages & cured saucissons. The delivery was one day earlier than expected, fortunately not a problem. The lion's share of the order was the rib of beef. By Boxing Day the smell from the uncooked joint (which had been stored in a fridge) was unbearable & the exposed sides of flesh were slimy. Before throwing it away I weighed it. Just a touch over 2kg. So I wasted £46 on an underweight fetid piece of meat. Needless to say I won't be ordering again & would advise anyone else to think twice.
Order not received - disappointed!!
We placed on order early Dec for delivery on the 23rd December. It did not arrive and we did not receive any communications at all to tell us that there was an issue with the order.
The lamb was for a Christmas Eve meal and we were extremely disappointed that our order from Meatbox was not delivered.
The only positive was that after submitting a 'contact us' form I received an email telling us that the payment would be refunded - there was however no apology offered for the fact the order wasn't fulfilled. Very disappointing.
