NOT WILLING TO OFFER SALE PRICE BEFORE EVEN RECEIVING ORDER. I placed an order for multiple items. The next day, I received an email advertising the Memorial Day Event where all items were 30% off. I contacted customer service for a price adjustment and was told they don't do that. The solution... once I receive my items I will need to ship them back and place a new order for the exact same items in order to receive the sale price. I've never had a company not willing to provide a price adjustment especially when I just placed the order. It doesn't make any economic sense at all to have all of the additional shipping to achieve something so simple... a credit for the price difference. Will take my shopping elsewhere.

Restored My Faith in Customer Service

They not only addressed my concerns quickly but also offered me full store credit for the rug. This level of customer service has truly restored my faith in the company, and I will continue to shop with confidence. Their willingness to help has made a loyal customer out of me!

Horrible Quality and Customer Service

Horrible experience. I ordered a rattan and wood stool from this company and the stool arrived with portions of the wood and rattan unfinished (i.e. rough to the touch and lacking the protective finish/coating that was on the rest of the stool). I know this is not the design of the stool since I previously ordered 3 of these stools and had to order a fourth one to replace one of the prior ones because its rattan had broken apart fairly quickly. Upon receiving the new stool, I reached out to the company and they said the issue was due to the natural variation of the wood and did not offer to replace the stool or refund any portion. Having had one stool from this company already fall apart, I am now bringing the new unfinished one to a local furniture repair place so that they can finish what McGee & Co. forgot to do. So much for quality control or good customer service!

The "Frayser Organic Bath Collection" towels I ordered were horrible. Given the price, you'd think they'd be super high quality, but I've had them for a month now and I can't use them because they leave fuzzies everywhere. I've washed them and taken a lint roller to them and the fuzzies are never ending. It's extremely disappointing. DO NOT ORDER.

Ordered 2 pendants and the shipping…

I ordered 2 pendants and the shipping cost was over $300. Before purchasing, I confirmed that I was able to get additional chain to install the pendants on a vaulted ceiling. When I ordered the additional chain, they told me that they do not have the chain in stock and that they do not have a restock date. I cannot use the pendants without additional chain. I asked what they can do in this situation since the additional chain is not available and I am unable to hang the pendants at the correct height without the additional chain but they had no solution and it was past the 30 day return time frame so too bad! I tried to call the customer service phone number from their website but I got a recording that the only way to contact them is through email. I will never order from this company again! Stay away from McGee and Co!

Horrible customer service

The owner seems great, but the customer service agents are horrible. I was supposed to have a nightstand delivered today. Waited during my delivery window, was not delivered. They offered no help. You can't even call this company, you have to wait for an email back. I won't be ordering from them again, there are plenty of better furniture shops.

Price and Quality

I bought two nightstands from them for a little over $1,000 each. They arrived on time and shipping went smoothly. Unfortunately, the furniture is not worth the price they charge. When I open the drawers, the entire nightstand moves with it. There is also a leather piece attached with Velcro, and the leather quality is poor. Overall, I believe the items here are overpriced for the quality they provide.

beware: shipping appointments 2/7 days a week

I know people usually write reviews when they are extremely disappointed, but I wanted to note to customers living just outside Philly that this company will only ship 2/7 days a week. If you need a shipping appointment it can only be on Tues or Thurs. and of course c/s says I can go pick it up myself, or cancel with a restocking fee (notified after my purchase and about 15 automated calls from the shipper!) Metropolitan customer service handled the situation and made an exception, but really disappointed with McGee & Co. This service for such an expensive item makes no sense to me.

While we don’t have direct control over the availability of local delivery agents, we fully recognize that these partners are an extension of the McGee & Co. experience. When something feels inconvenient or disjointed, it reflects on us, and that matters. We are actively working with our delivery teams to improve flexibility, communication, and overall coordination so the process feels seamless from start to finish.

I do see that our team is currently working with Metropolitan to secure a delivery date outside of the typical Tuesday/Thursday window, and I’m glad they were able to make an exception. That said, we know it shouldn’t require extra effort on your end to make that happen, and we’ll continue pushing to make this smoother moving forward.

Crap AI-slop service, and no way to stop getting their catalog on

No way to stop getting their catalog on their website. It is all just so wasteful. Then their AI-Slop customer service just sends you in circle to do a simple task like stop sending a catalog.

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. The rug sheds heavily, and the chandelier arrived damaged—yet they refused to replace the glass or the item. Based on their prices, you'd expect better quality and service. Cannot recommend.

difficult customer service

update; after much pushing they agreed to take it back. i have not yet been refunded, will update this review once i have been successfully refunded.

original review . Terrible customer service. I purchased some items, a plate arrived completely smashed and broken to pieces, poorly packaged. Same day it was delivered messaged them about it, then uploaded the images of the broken item to the return portal. They denied my request to get a return/refund, and there is no customer service support messaging me back to discuss the issue. They just do not answer emails or calls at all.

I purchased a Christmas tree a month…

I purchased a Christmas tree a month before Christmas. Love the tree. It’s beautiful. Came to me very quickly. The problem is three days later. It went on sale for 50% off. When I called the customer service phone number which I found on the Internet. They said they don’t answer the phone. That you need to send in an email. I sent in an email And never got a response back. Also on the phone when I was on there, they said if you send in multiple emails, it will put you down the list in getting a response back from customer support. As much as I like the products from this company and they’re beautiful. Their customer support is absolutely terrible. They don’t respond. They can’t get a hold of anybody. That is why I’m giving them two stars. There is a couple products on their website. I wish I could buy cause I really like them, but because of the customer service issue, I am not going to purchase anything from them ever again.

I purchased two soap dispensers from them and they started peeling shards of metal and corroding within days of use. Do not purchase from this company. I had to throw them away.

Nice Recovery


Although we had issues initially, they recovered by doing the right thing in the end. As always, it’s about getting to the right person (Haley, the supervisor) who can make practical decisions. We are very satisfied with the product.

Paid for pricey furniture pieces that were listed as shipping in 5-10 business days and nothing has shipped!!

I am running out of options and not really getting a response from McGee Customer Service in a timely manner. I am back and forth on email with days between responses, and they are not taking phone calls. I spent $5600 on two pieces of furniture (one appears to still be in stock and the other I noticed is now on a “join the waitlist” even though my order went through before that. Both were to ship between 5-10 business days. I paid for these November 13 and still have not received either item (one still shows online that it is shipping in 5-10 business days) and have zero indication when I will. I see I am not the only person having issues. Very disappointed. I realize this is a popular site, but this is poor business practice.

I ordered 2 rugs for my kitchen

I ordered 2 rugs for my kitchen. Upon receiving the rugs I was disappointed as the color on the website is quite different than the ones I received. I have called multiple times with no response. it is almost impossible to talk to a living person. They suggest email. I have email and received no response. They also state on their voicemail if you send multiple emails you will be put in the back of the queue. I guess being persistent is a punishment. The company's charge for returning 2 rugs is $250. I cannot even talk to anyone or get a response to talk about this ridiculous return policy. I highly suggest you do not order anything from this company. I would like a response from the company and to return may rugs free of cost. Hopefully someone will respond. I do plan to share about my experience through social media and designers I know.

Truly HORRIBLE company

Truly HORRIBLE company. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I initially reached out over 3 weeks ago and it is near impossible to speak with a human. Their AI generated emails promise a response or to resolve issues then no response is received. Their customer service number says to email but not to send follow up emails. This company is an absolute joke. They charge a premium for their merchandise and have 0 investment in customer service. You couldn’t pay me to EVER make another purchase from this awful company. WORST OF THE WORST!

No way to talk to human

Update: after additional emails to customer support, I did finally receive an email from Christy. She was extremely helpful and resolved my problem within an hour. If you can talk to Christy, you’re in luck.

Absolutely no way to speak with a human. Their customer support number recording states they are only responding to emails. Ok. Sent email on a Monday. Received chatbot response someone will call 24-48 hours. Crickets.

Sent follow up email on problem and chatbot responds I must talk to customer experience manager, would you like me to connect one to this conversation? Yes. Crickets.

Called customer experience repeatedly over next three days. Still recording advising only responding to emails. Sent another to just cancel my order. It hasn’t been fulfilled anyway. Crickets.
