Akeem of Mavis Discount Tire located on Rt 22 West in Union was absolutely wonderful and caring attentively after I suffered a tire blow out on the GSP he calmed me down over the phone addressed my fears and waited for AAA to get to me change tire an allowed me to come into the store to order a tire to be installed the next day which was today and the service was completed in a timely manner with the same smile he created me with the day before his disposition was greatly appreciated during aa stressful time. Don’t Do It! Purchased 4 tires to be mounted, balanced and aligned. When they told me that my vehicle was ready, I found two different sizes on the front 235 60 18 and 245 60 18 on the rear! Who could do this? Then they take off the wrong ones and replace it with the correct ones but this takes over half hour. They tell me that my vehicle is ready. In the middle of my trip nearly 700 miles, I felt heavy bumping in the rear. Called corporate and was advised by Regional manager Tysean Alford to take to local Mavis to check vehicle. Discovered that 2 back tires had never been balanced. They balanced the 2 rear but as I learned later from District manager Robert Tobin, all four should have been balanced. The steering wheel was not even so I wanted this Mavis to also check the alignment. They couldn’t accommodate because their software had not been updated. I then took it to another Mavis another half hour away. They confirmed that the vehicle was not aligned by showing me the computer print out. So at this point, Mavis has charged for services that were never performed. A resolution was to return funds for the alignment and balance, which I accepted. After this was performed the car was still riding rough and shaking. A diagnostic by a Kia dealer showed that the vehicle’s rear was again out of alignment, needed second wheel balance of four tires and front end play from rack and pinion. Now their failed work is causing damage to other areas of my vehicle. The District manager Robert Tobin wouldn’t speak to me after calling and texting and I still haven’t received the refund for my purchase price of tires as he promised. He had Regional manager Tysean Alford to call me. Ultimately, Tysean Alford told the tech that they would pay for the 3rd alignment and balance but not the rack & pinion. There was nothing wrong with the rack and pinion beforehand and a complete check by Mavis proves this. I had third alignment and four wheel balance done at a different service station and expect to be reimbursed. To date, July 1, 2024, my vehicle still rides hard and shaking. Please don’t do it. Find another service location but definitely not Mavis. I’m waiting for Director Robert Tobin to call me back by way of corporate number since 8:46am this morning but as of 10:34am, there’s still no response. For reference ticket# 905991

Quick easy can’t say enough how much this has helped
Back in May 2023, I had this location do a complete check and repair of may car: tires, plugs, breaks, , rotors, filters, etc, etc. the bill came up to $5K. Fast forward to early December, 2023, my breaks started to have an issue. Whenever I would exceed 50 mph on highway and hit the breaks, the car would shake. A simple google search shows it’s a problem with the Rotors. They had the car on 3 separate occasions to try to repair and they couldn’t. And every time they would say they fixed the issue. The last time I even asked them to do a test drive before retrying the car to me. They said they did. Once I received the car, I immediately went on the highway to test… and the issue remained, the issue actually got worse. They obviously lied. One of the other times, they kept my car for 3 days and when I called them on the 3rd day they said they haven’t started working on the car yet because they couldn’t find the wheel lock. They said the called me, but again an obvious lie cause no missed calls or voicemails. Another time, they kept it for 2 days cause the mechanic had to leave early for an “emergency” don’t believe that either. Whatever mechanic they have working there either does not have the capability to do the job or does not care or they did not want to replace the parts under warranty. I finally ask that the manager call me to figure out a solution, I am yet to receive any call.
I actually had a good experience in May 2023, that is definitely no longer the case. After giving them all that business and spending all that money, I am appalled by the lying and incompetency of this place. I will also be following up with the corporate headquarters.

Terrible place I paid almost 400 dollars for a new tire just for it to be the same one!! I’m LIVID BEVER GO HERE THEY ARE CROOKS
Worst experience ever, went in with a nail in a tire to fix, they ran a maintenance check without my permission and a few hours later my battery light came on and my steering wheel was nearly locked...they forgot to put my steering wheel cap back on and magically all of a sudden I have a broken alternator belt. Called them up they said that is wasn't them took no responsibility whatsoever. Don't ever go to this place.

My last visit was horrible I went in to get one thing fixed came out with another problem no one could get there story straight the mechanic is saying one thing the guy up front is saying another meanwhile I'm spending 600 bucks an counting an I've been a customer for year multiple cars credit card the whole 9 just do what's right you make a mistake fix it
