Mavis Tire - Pickens Omdömen 

Took my van to Mavis in Late March to have it good and ready for a family trip to Flordia. Manager came at me likes a salesman telling several things were wrong with my van. Should have trusted my gut and just rented a van and have our normal mechanics fix our issue. I went against my better internal judgement and just went ahead and had the work done. (Van was shaking terribly) assessment was control arms, CV axles and oil change. $2000 later we took our trip to flordia. Van continued to shake horribly and I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt(he said my rotors were a little worn and needed to be replaced as well which we decided to wait on bc we couldn't afford anymore at the time. I thought well it must be my rotors and was concerned my whole trip down with my family of 5 that we would have been stranded or had an accident. We made it home and finally sent it to our personal mechanic and they told us the CV axles needed replaced. Imagine my surprise when I was told that was just fixed! Took it back to Mavis and they apologized profusely and said they fixed it again (our other mechanic gave them the benefit of the doubt and said it could be a faulty part.) Took them 3 days to work on the van and when I drove it again it STILL wasnt fixed and took it right back to them. Had our mechanics look at it again and they came back and said its still the CV Axles(we wanted them to make it right since we had already paid for the work). Our mechanic marked the new parts to make sure they were replaced if we had further issues. I was told by Mavis the mechainc that worked on our van lied about it being fixed and he was fired. Worked on it a 3rd time. The manager road with me and it seemed to run okay. Took the van to PA and 2 weeks later the shaking started again but only on the left side. Had to wait a few more weeks bc I thought for sure it was something else(like the rotors) and had to wait bc we couldn't pay for another fix on the van at the time. Took it back down to our mechanic and when they looked under it only one Axle was replaced the other was NOT. At this point our van had been to Mavis 3 times and my other mechanic 3 times. We tried to communicate to Mavis that we just wanted our van fixed and was met with excuses and blowing smoke. We finally had our mechanics fix the CV axle and since then we have had ZERO problems. We did get a partial refund on the left side work that was done after asking for the regional managers information and speaking to him. The Pickens manager Scott hung up on me without giving Paul's contact info (after I had told him I was through talking to him and wanted to speak to someone higher up and told him about our mechanics marking the parts). I had to call corporate to get in touch with Paul. We have been dealing with this back and forth for 6 months. It has been nothing but stress going back and forth. We had to rent a van for 2 1/2 weeks to finish getting our work done and at the end we probably have spent an extra $1200 going back and forth with our van rentals, tickets, gas, our time, our other Mexhaincs time wasted all because the work was not done right the first time. Saw another complaint of a customer who took their car to Mavis literally 2 weeks after mine with a similar quote of issues (control arms needing to be replaced) she was wise and took hers to another mechanic who said several things they said not needing to be done(control arms being one) in fact did not need replacing. I felt very taken advantage of. I gave Mavis a chance against my better judgement and paid dearly for it. Please dont make the same mistake and if you dont know much on car issues take it to a place you trust and will not be taken advantage of. Never again will we take any of our vehicles here. I just want others to know the risk of having this place work on your vehicle and proceed with caution or better yet, run the other way. I cant speak on the other Mavis businesses as the regional manager was quick to try and make it right but Pickens personally we will never go back to.

I really wish I could leave zero stars or less. This company is absolutely one of the worst I have ever dealt with. What good is the appointment system if when you get there you will still have to wait an additional 3 hours. All of the bays were empty and no one else was waiting. This is ridiculous. The manager or worker or whatever he was with his smart aleck attitude was no help either. If any of my masonic brothers out there are seeing this, on the square, do not do business with these people. No one else should either.

NEVER AGAIN
Went in for tire repair. The door panel says 65psi for rear tire and they only put 60 psi in tire. Also wanted oil change. I supplied the oil and filter. Oil came in 5 QT jugs. Truck takes 13 QT. When I questioned them all 15 QT were put in. They drain some oil out. Oh there went my 2 QT I planned on for mid oil change use. And all this took 2 hours. They did take $20 off but had I not questioned them it would have been over filled and still a low tire

The customer service won my business! I will definitely be back.
