I wouldnot recommend anyone to trade with maven, Especially to complete any kind of challanges we need a good execution and good rr, but the worse thing about this prop frim is even you either day trade or swing the spread will literally make your 4.1 rr to 2.1 with execution of more than 0.1% loss, moreover along spread they also take so much commission which lead you to more diffucult to pass the challange. And this is my 3rd time trading with maven and the last time. When i reached out their team about this problem simply they ignored and didn't responded. Literally guys dont belieive to such kind of company with bad kind of system trading and bad team support.

We’ve reviewed our support channels and were unable to find any record of you reaching out regarding this issue. It’s possible there may be some confusion or that you’re mixing us up with another company.

For clarity, Maven’s commissions and spreads are fully transparent: $2 per way for forex, $3 per way for metals/energy, zero for digital ETFs, indices, and commodities. Swap fees are zero.

Compared to other prop firms, our fees are competitive, many brokers charge higher commissions and wider spreads. Execution and risk management are part of trading any challenge, and all parameters are clearly shared upfront for planning strategies.

From what we can see, this situation appears to be related to a UPI transaction that wasn’t fully completed. In such cases, the amount may be debited from your account initially, but without the final confirmation step, the transfer is never successfully received on our end, meaning no account is created.

When this happens, the funds are typically returned automatically by the provider within a few business days.

Update 22nd March: Case “Closed” Without Specific Evidence

After multiple exchanges with Maven (including support and Head of Support), the final position is:

• There is no defined risk threshold for what constitutes “high risk”
• The 1% restriction is applied at the discretion of the reviewer
• No specific trade examples, metrics, or numerical trigger were provided

When raised publicly, Maven declined to engage in detailed discussion and stated they do not participate in public back-and-forth regarding such matters. The case has now been formally closed without addressing these points with concrete data.

So to be clear:

You can operate within the stated rules, not breach drawdown, and still be restricted based on subjective assessment.

This is not about disagreement — it’s about transparency.

Traders should be aware that risk limits are not based on predefined, measurable criteria, but on internal discretionary judgment, and cases may be closed without detailed justification.

Make your own decision accordingly.

Update: 21st of March – Still No Direct Answer, Only Deflection

Maven’s latest response is that it is my responsibility to read and understand the Terms & Conditions, and that risk parameters were communicated after the account review.

That again confirms the issue.

I did not rely on assumptions — I contacted support directly to understand acceptable risk and was clearly told that risk was based on stop-loss placement and staying within drawdown limits.

Based on that guidance, I traded accordingly, passed the challenge, and even received a payout.

Only afterward was the same trading suddenly reclassified as “unsustainable,” and only then were stricter expectations introduced and the 1% restriction applied.

So the core question remains:

Why were the expectations that actually mattered not clearly communicated when I specifically asked support about acceptable risk before trading?

Instead of answering this directly, Maven continues to refer back to Terms & Conditions and repeat the same explanation. This does not address the inconsistency — it avoids it.

Shifting responsibility to the trader after the fact does not resolve the issue. It highlights the gap between what was communicated and how the account was ultimately judged.

I have also offered to share full timestamped communication (chat and email) showing exactly what was said and when, and invited Maven to do the same for full transparency.

There has been no response to that request.

At this point, it feels like Maven is continuing to speak around the issue rather than addressing it directly.

For context: my previous reviews were removed by Trustpilot due to posting multiple updates in a short timeframe. I have now consolidated everything into this single review so the full timeline can be understood clearly.

The situation remains unchanged:
• I asked support for clarification
• I followed the guidance given
• I passed and received a payout
• The issue was only raised afterward
• And the key question still has not been answered

At this stage, the timeline speaks for itself.

Update: 13th of March

Osman, we’ve already addressed this matter multiple times, publicly and via email, including direct responses from our support team and Head of Support.

Your account was reviewed and placed under a 1% max risk parameter due to repeated high-risk trading. This is outlined in our Terms & Conditions (Section 5), and additional communication was sent to you following your account review and KYC.

We’ve also acknowledged your offer to share communications. However, we do not engage in public back-and-forth disputes involving private correspondence. All relevant information has already been reviewed internally and communicated to you directly.

At this stage, continuing to repeat the same claims, particularly after multiple detailed responses, does not change the outcome.

We consider this matter closed.

Very wide 1-2 pips even on EU and GU. High commissions+ very bad news rul. Not recommended. Also they make stupid reasons not to give access to your acc. Especially in KY

They change things without alerting customers

I use to like this firm until yesterday I opened a trade around 10-11 pm because that's when they're market resets, making me lose the account when i opened the trade no knowing they've changed that to 12 am and I never received an email on that am not sure anyone did, am rating them down because they changed that and didn't alert customers thats not good making me loss my account, I feel bad they don't communicate with customers

There has been no change to the daily reset time. The claim that an account was lost due to a reset time adjustment is incorrect.

The account was closed because it exceeded the established daily drawdown limit for that trading day. This limit is in place to manage risk, and once it is breached, the account is automatically closed.

All rules regarding daily drawdown limits and reset times are clearly outlined on our website and available for all clients to review. Reset times were not altered, and no client was affected by any unannounced change. The closure reflects the account reaching its daily risk threshold, consistent with the rules that are publicly available.

In this case, the verification recording clearly showed another individual actively conducting the process, including handling the ID and directing the capture, which does not comply with our KYC requirements.

For these reasons, the decision is final.

A stop loss is a trigger, not a guaranteed exit price. Once the stop level is reached, the system sends a market order that must be matched with a counterparty. If there’s limited liquidity at that exact price, the trade may be executed at the next available price. This difference is called slippage and can happen even if the chart appears stable.

We encourage traders to account for this when managing risk.

I’ve traded with Maven for a few weeks now, on their instant account which is really affordable. I haven’t yet gotten a payout but I have to say this firm on the top of my list going forward. Jon the ceo is the most genuine/authentic ceo which led to me to buy an account with this firm in the first place. I am a customer for life.

Bad Experience with Maven really red flag 🚩

Very disappointing experience with Maven. The slippage and spreads are terrible and often widen unexpectedly, which makes trading much harder than it should be. It sometimes feels like these factors are overplayed and work against the trader, especially when trying to manage drawdown.

On top of that, customer support is really poor. Responses are slow and when they reply, the answers are generic and not helpful.

Overall, not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend it. There are much better prop firms out there.

Your challenge account was reviewed after our system detected trades where the maximum potential risk exceeded the account’s allowed drawdown limit. This rule evaluates the potential exposure of a position at the moment it is opened, based on the lot size and the distance to the stop loss, regardless of whether the trade later moves into profit.

After reviewing the account, our team confirmed that the positions referenced in the review carried a potential downside larger than the permitted drawdown for the account. Because of this, the challenge was correctly marked as failed under the trading rules.

We understand there can sometimes be confusion when calculating risk using external charting tools or platforms with different contract specifications, but the evaluation is always based on the execution environment of the trading account itself.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Maven Trading.

My account was failed because my take profit was triggered during a news event, even though the trade had been open for more than 12 hours before the news release.

I did not open any trade during the restricted news time. The position was already running and the take profit was simply hit when the market moved. Despite this, Maven still counted it as a news violation and failed the account.

This rule feels extremely unfair. Traders cannot fully control when a take profit is triggered if the trade has been running long before the news event.

In my case, I followed normal trading practices and held the trade for many hours. Punishing traders for something they cannot control (TP being hit during news) does not make sense.

If you are considering buying a challenge from Maven Trading, make sure you fully understand how strict and questionable their news restriction rules can be.

While the trade was opened before the news event, it was closed during the restricted ISM Manufacturing PMI window. Under our rules, any trade activity (manual close, TP, SL, etc.) during that time is considered a violation.

These rules are applied consistently to all traders to ensure fairness. Our team is always available to clarify them at any time.
