Excellent guide, the settings video course is informative and useful, with useful real world examples. And some great humor as well. Recommend!

I cannot recommend this course enough. Matthew teaches you very quickly all the functionality of the camera, what it all does and more importantly what settings you need to best photograph wildlife.
The course has easy lessons to follow in video format where Matthew demonstrates and shows you what the settings changes look like, with downloadable crib-sheets following the lessons which you can take out into the field with you.
But here's a real measure of the effectiveness of the course; 8 weeks ago I was a total beginner, signed up for this course and last week, I was very fortunate to have one of my very recent photos published in The Times.
This course enables you concentrate on the wildlife rather than the camera controls.

I am thoroughly enjoying this course, Matthew explains things clearly and in a way that is easy to understand.
I love the “through the camera” viewpoint, it’s a great way to learn the theory, seeing it in practice. I feel like I’m on safari!
Unfortunately because I work, I don’t get as much time as I would like to get out and practice so the ability to take the course at my own pace is a real bonus.
The notes and challenges included to reinforce my learning are a real help, I have printed them off to go into my camera bag.
I signed up to improve my photography before embarking on a South African safari next year. I can’t wait to learn and put my learning into practice.

I have been a photographer for decades but recently purchased a new camera for an African safari later this year. However, I didn’t feel completely comfortable with how to use this new mirrorless camera for wildlife having upgraded from a 12 year old DSLR.

The course has not only refreshed a lot of things I thought I knew but also taught me several new skills. Probably the best is back button focusing followed by the tips on metering and exposure.

I particularly enjoyed the style of the videos and I have been recommending this course to my friends.

Matt has created this course with incredible detail and real enthusiasm, and it shows in every lesson. You can tell how much care and thought has gone into the structure of the course and the way everything is explained.

The handbook is a fantastic tool to have alongside the lessons and makes it easy to revisit key points and keep improving between sessions. Seeing the wildlife up close through such high-quality footage is absolutely incredible and really adds to the whole learning experience.

The course is both inspiring and easy to follow, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills. I’ve already learned a lot and feel much more confident in my photography because of it. I’m really enjoying the journey so far and am genuinely looking forward to my next lesson.

Excellent course on helping me to master wildlife photography.
Although I am a seasoned photographer for many years, this course has really helped me hone in those skills and re-adjusted my approach to wildlife photography. This couse is the absolute perfect course to use to help you hone in your skills whether you've just picked up your first camera or a seasoned pro, there's something for everyone in this incredibly wonderful unique course. I joined The Art of Wildlife Photography mentorship, and it's been amazing.
