6 months of wait for nothing

Tried to get in touch with Manpower in October last year for a job in the Home office no response until I've rang them beginning of Jan. Nobody knew nothing then finally they found my emails. They offered me 4 roles had a look told them which I want gave them all my documents filled in all the paperwork including security clearance check from the Home office, Manpower told me it'll take up to six weeks, waited for couple weeks rang them few times as nobody ever keeps you updated. And now after 6months of waiting in total they've just rang me to say that that role was given away. Six months ppl, I have waited refused other jobs so that I didn't get it. Save your time patience and the money that's all can say. Horrible unprofessional company especially Liverpool branch.

Do not work here

Do not work here. Certain employees are liars. Was unfairly let off even though the company I worked for wanted to keep me. Then i kept on getting told I could start again ‘soon’, so I waited. Found out I was lied to. Then told them I wanted to leave manpower and all of a sudden, I could start as soon as one Saturday. I was told to upload all my details online so I thought this was genuine until they ghosted me for weeks again and didnt give me no replies or clarity. The least you could do during this cost of living crisis is not give people false hope or lie to them. How about simply being straight up and clear. This issue has been going on for months. Everyone out here needs a job and youre leading people on and wasting their time. Disgusting employees with no genuine care. You can tell they don’t care as their company will just write their automated emails out to these review not looking to genuinely do anything about it

Never work for manpower their employees…

Never work for manpower their employees are extremely rude they don’t know how to treat new employees the way they talk is just ridiculous. Please learn some good manners and improve your service. If you keep on doing this and treat people badly no one will work for manpower.

CONTINUALLY PAY LATE AND INCORRECTLY

STAY AWAY FROM MANPOWER THEY CONTINUALLY PAY LATE !!!

I posted a review last month about being paid late and incorrectly by manpower. They apologized and 2 weeks later I went back to work for them.
Well, it seems this dynamic is part of their business model and not a genuine error at all. I was due to be paid last Friday and no pay was set up AGAIN! When I emailed to query no one replied so I called and someone said Oh year sorry I was going to call you but there is a glitch in our system we can only pay you a percentage and the rest next week.

I have never known a business practice so amateur, unprofessional, and completely unqualified for the type of contracts they receive, even at this stage I have received no apologies or explanation as to why this keeps happening they simply can't pay you correctly, and on time also still haven't been paid for work I completed 2 weeks ago!

Please guys avoid Manpower like the plague.

Terrible organisation, communication and professionalism.

Communication and professionalism is nearly none existent. I was working at a company when I received another call from MP asking if I was unemployed. It seems communication within the agency is terrible as well. I messaged my contact Isaac several times about crucial information and was ignored. Will never use again and dissuade friends too.

Ignorant company

Applied for a job with them online recently (as I have many times with Manpower). I called them up to also let them know I’d applied and was told they’d get the person dealing with it to give me a call.

A week later, still no call.

I’d rather not be associated with a company with this level of ignorance, there’s absolutely no need for it.

SCAM

I have been constantly lied to for 3 weeks, more precisely, I worked 6 days in the week of October 30, respectively November 5, and I was not paid even though I received dozens of assurances that I would be paid every week, the last interaction was Friday 17.11.2023 when I was asked for my bank details to take possession of the money on Friday, today being Monday, I asked the agency again who assured me that my money had left since Friday to call my bank to convince me and that I would receive it by 12.00 at the latest now it is 12.20 and I have not received anything and I also called the bank where it was confirmed that there was no transaction to me. Beware of them they are scammers and liars.

I wouldn't recommend to anyone working…

I wouldn't recommend to anyone working for them, as they are just lying to you on a daily basis and looking to satisfy only their interests. When you see Manpower just run and hide cause its better, you will be better off working for somebody else.
In my case I'll just write about one of them lies:
They said I will be paid at a rate of 13.63£/hr but in fact I was paid only 10.9£/hr because I didn't wished to work anymore with them. So for a 4 day work at royal mail NDC I got paid only 150£; they don't even give the right ammount of hours worked.

Who you know. No one will get back to you

Inconsistency is the key word. You'll be doing more work than the actual consultants if you go through the website no one ever gets back to you have to chase up constantly. Only times I've been successful have been when I've got the actual contact off a friend who was already working there or stumbled across the right consultant after months of being sent to the wrong ones or told they dont deal with this.Its who you know the website is a joke give up unless you know people already working there who can give you the actual contacts -even then you may not get a reply

There is an excellent team in place at the Manpower Grimsby Branch . I get daily phonecalls and emails about my upcoming shifts , they are very helpful and very supportive and always keep in touch

Applied for an electrical role 2/3…

Applied for an electrical role 2/3 weeks ago. Got a call the next day after applying and was told I'd be updated on it ASAP. I've heard absolutely nothing, I have had to email twice to see what was happening and the second time I didn't even get a reply.

It takes 30 seconds to just email keeping someone updated on what's happening, even if the role is no longer available it's better than just ignoring

Applied for a junior recruitment role as and the recruiter told me I didn’t have enough experience even though I’ve been a recruitment manager for 6 years. Would have been better to explain you thought I was over qualified or you didn’t think I’d fit the culture. Overall terrible recruitment process experience and I’d stay clear.

I had an interview with a company EDF

I had an interview with a company EDF, Weeks have passed by and I have still not heard anything back from the recruiter who put me forward for the interview Natalie McNeal! It was confirmed during the interview they would get back to me within a week with the outcome of my interview however, it is now coming up to the fourth week and I haven’t heard a thing despite sending an email asking for an update!! What a waste of time this agency is!!!

Just had a message from this company offering me a job. I have not applied for a job here nor have I given any recruitment business my number. The number used was a private number never given to marketing companies. Id take a look at where you’re getting your information before breaching GDPR becomes a larger issue for the company. The reviews are bad enough without that

One star is too many!!

One star is too many! Messed up wages and expect you to wait a week for it to be rectified! Surely a same day BACS transfer is possible?!! One of the largerest agencies in the world and they treat staff like crap! Unable to pay your bills because they messed up.....tough!

Very poor they advertise work on job sites and when you apply through the jobsite they dont contact you at all as the job I applied foe was on the 23rd of June and not heard nothing from them

Where do I start… I called a woman…

Where do I start… I called a woman ,Misha, for a position in Cambridge with my address in London, I’m a student and I wanted to work in UK for the summer while staying with my dad. Firstly, we organised a phone meeting at 2pm and this woman was so extremely late (30 minutes) on the day, I had to call her first twice, that should have been the first red flag. On the call, I told her what I said above and she told me London was out of her jurisdiction… and she would call people from the London branch to contact me. Okay, about maybe 5 days passed, so I called her office and explained to the woman who picked up everything, her secretary, Courtney I think it was, and she gave me the number to the Uxbridge branch. As you know I stay in UK during the summers so when she said that I just took her word for it. I call the Uxbridge branch and they are incredibly confused and asked why they would give me the number to the Uxbridge branch when Misha and Courtney, the women I first spoke to handle the London area as well as Cambridge, she basically let me know Misha, the woman I initially spoke to and her secretary handle the London area and they basically lied to me for I dunno why, laziness? Racism? Maybe they thought I was lying and was an immigrant? Lmao I don’t know why anyway, the Uxbridge branch then gave me the email to a London branch, Brookstreet. Cool, I then called the Brookstreet branch and was told to send an email with my CV, I sent them my CV and never got a response til today. I’ll give you my theory for why, when I initially contacted Manpower, I actually had Mishas direct email only, I think it’s possible that the Brookstreet branch works with her. I am not even annoyed because they couldn’t help or whatever it may be, I am annoyed because of how they behaved, they lied and it makes no sense??? And reminds me that it is only people that work behind these organisations, some bad people, but people regardless. I am sure Manpower has helped people but unfortunately it was Misha that I had contact with, a lazy woman with a desire for lying
