Well, I hate to write a bad review about this lovely old family business, but they really do need to make an effort to bring certain aspects of the business up-to-date. Their website desperately needs updating: you will need a day off to order an item. I had to use the phone to them eventually in deperation! Try and amend an order requires the patience of an elephant; I really wonder whether anyone over th age of 50 could work with this website; also, trying to pay with paypal just doesn't work for me: I am sent back and have to start the whole ordering process over again.
I would say that my wild birds have always loved their bird seed and their free deliveries have been always been fine. My favourite was a seed and nut combination but it seemed to suddenly disappear from the website!

Ordered Maltby’s bird food through Amazon. Maltby’s accepted the order but did not deliver. Found out through Amazon that Maltby’s courier had marked the package as ‘undeliverable’ and that Amazon would refund me.

Seems this company has a big problem, will avoid in future.

I purchased a large bag of hedgehog food. The service was amazing, just a couple of days delivery & FREE delivery too. So impressed, I've order a 10K bag of the same for my lovely local Wildlife Rescue. The price is good & hogs love the food the same as an expensive brand I have been using. And believe it or not, hedgehogs are fussy (well my spoilt one's are anyway!).

Great products and prices with free delivery to boot! Good communication so very happy with the company.

Poor service. Ordered from Amazon. Sadly sent adult dog food, not puppy as ordered. Very difficult trying to get a refund. They send multiple messages asking the same questions. Very disappointed. This is my first order with them and it will definitely be my last.

Very good company, have been using for my various pet and bird food needs for some years now. Prices excellent value for money, and recently after a small delivery problem Maltbys sorted it out immediately and two days later I had my delivery. Will continue to use, very pleased. I highly recommend this company.

First time I have used these guys directly as I usually buy from Amazon. Delivery was super fast and free and I’m more than pleased with the items I ordered and the price. Shall use again for my regular supply of mealworms.

I thought I'd left a review about this company before. Seems not. I've been buying mealworms and sunflower hearts from them for quite a while. Good company, good price and good delivery. Now a big change. The last two orders due to delivery they have been awful. Both had to be resent. This last one was bought on eBay. Maltby at one point said it was because of Amazon they had to use Hermes. Sorry I don't get this part at all. I have bought from Maltbys on Amazon before, not this time. I will never buy from them again while they use Hermes. This may sound hard but if they know the problems, they should change couriers. There's plenty out there.

We purchase our duck food for sale in Holywells Park Ipswich and we would not use anyone else's feed,
It is high quality and is very saleable for us so we can raise funds for the park,
We buy in bulk and it is delivered very quickly with high quality packaging that is easy to store,
We will not use anyone else unless they stop selling the feed

Sadly my first and last time I use these guys... Don't believe the email you get about delivery, when you question where your item is you get told Yodel will be delivering within 48 hours.

When you ask for a tracking number its not valid.

Clearly they are struggling to fulfil their orders.

Nothing worse than being mislead, be honest and say how long an item will be. Use them with caution, I have no clue if I will get my items.

they dont care for customer service. dont understand customer rights. tried to tell me their carriers problems was my responsibility to sort out. I dont think so!

I regularly order mealworm and bird feed from Maltby. most of the time it's all great, but every now and then the delivery will go wrong and they don't seem bothered. That can be very annoying.

I have been ordering from this company for quite a while so when a problem occurred regarding delivery I was expecting it to be sorted out respectfully. The 48 hour tracking which they quote on their emails does not mean that you will be able to track parcels or indeed get parcels delivered after 48 hours. After 72 hours of ordering I tried to track a parcel. There was no tracking and it hadn't been delivered. When I explained that there wouldn't now be anyone at the delivery address I was told it was too bad and nothing could be changed. Not a great service.

My order was delivered early with a smile. The dry dog food is of a good quality at a very competitive price. Would definitely recommend and use again.
