Update: They responded to email. They refuse to give order number. They refuse to provide evidence of despatch.

Update: After further emails and call to credit card company the charge has been refunded. Not clear if the claim of “order despatched already” was true as it has not been received as yet

Don’t order from Maison d'Amber

Ordered 6 items. All arrived very poor quality and sizing all different some too big some too small. Overall it was the poor quality.
I had reviewed the returns policy before ordering which clearly states you have a no quibble 30 money back guarantee!!!!
However. When I requested a full refund I was given a very different returns policy, I was told I would have to return items to china there would be additional costs and my parcel may not get there as it could be destroyed!!!!! So no guarantee I would get a refund. I emailed them to say this was not what was on their website and the clothes had clearly been sent from a uk address to me. After a couple more emails where quite frankly I was getting nowhere they just repeated themselves. My next move was to contact PayPal with all the details. Top tip. Use PayPal they are fabulous.
While waiting for my case to be reviewed. They company the offered me 20% off of if I wished to keep the items. Then yesterday I got the good news I had been issued a full refund by PayPal. I have since been emailed by the company again offering a 40%.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IT IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!

I’ve had an absolutely awful experiencee

I’ve had an absolutely awful experience with this company. I ordered a dress over three weeks ago that was listed as "in stock," but it still hasn’t arrived. I emailed multiple times asking for an update, and only after my third attempt was I told that the dress is experiencing production delays.

It’s completely unacceptable to advertise a product as "in stock" when it clearly isn’t.

Despite numerous follow-up emails requesting a refund, I’ve received no response. The lack of communication and transparency has been incredibly frustrating. I do not recommend this brand at all.

I think one star is a compliment

I think one star is a compliment. They state easy return however their return requirements make it impossible to return any items. You have to return within 30 days, pay a custom clearance and can take 1-2months to clear customs. Therefore, if a dress does not fit or look like the picture you are stuck with it. It is very expensive when there is basically a no return policy.

WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.
Ordered 4 dresses, which took three weeks to get here with incorrect tracking and coming all the way from China despite their website giving incorrect information and stating that their warehouse is in the Netherlands. They said shipping can be 7-15 days but my order texceded that.
Three dresses have arrived, not the 4 I ordered. None of them have tags and one is totally the wrong size. I ordered the same dress in two colours in the same size - they’re both totally different and their “customer service” don’t care whatsoever. I can see they’re going to do everything they can to not refund me and it’s going to be very difficult to get my money back, even though this is clearly a scam of a company…

The dress wasn’t what was displayed in the website. The quality of the dress was very poor. The stitching was poor. The material for the dress was poor. The zip was poor quality. The cutting was not correct. It was too big for a size 8.
The cutting for the hands and waist wasn’t good too.

Do not buy anything from this company!

Ordered a dress which took nearly 2 weeks to arrive. Was supposed to be a size medium but was absolutely massive on me. I requested a return/refund but was told that I would have to return it to China at my own cost! Their website states that they do not show their return address online "to protect the privacy of their offices" but clearly this is because nobody would buy this stuff if they knew they would have to send it back to China at their own expense. As compensation I was offered 10% of the value of the dress which is outrageous. I have effectively wasted £50 on a dress I cannot wear. Do not buy anything from this company!

If I could give 0 stars I would, the dress they sent me wasn't even the same dress they advertised. It was so poorly made I genuinely think I could have made it better myself. The material is see-through and the stitching is all hanging out and it is barely hemmed.

After contacting them for a refund they said they would only refund me 15% even though they sent me a dress that was completely different to what I ordered.

If I could leave 0 stars I would

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ordered two dresses which took just under a month to arrive with absolutely zero correspondence or tracking details.

Only one dress arrived and have been told either to pay for returns to China myself, which takes approximately 1-2 months, or if I keep the item they can ‘refund me 20% of the total order value immediately’.

I have now spent £160, on 2 dresses, which I have only received one of, and would have to spend £50+ to ship the one item back, to wait months for a refund.

I’m not sure how this company can get away with this.

I’ve tried to contact the company…

I’ve tried to contact the company several times and nobody is responding to my messages. I paid £72 for a dress which is supposed to be a 16-18 but is no bigger than a 10. It’s also not cut right, the shape is completely off.

MISSING a dress from my order!

Ordered two dresses for a wedding, waited almost 2 weeks for them, and only one arrived despite the tracking and email ‘confirmation’ stating a complete delivery. The Lisette Sleeveless Lace dress is missing - at a hefty price of £72 - and the second £43 dress is so thin (and narrow), with a poorly placed lining, everyone can see my underwear. Judging by the reviews, I won’t be getting a refund.

No word on my missing dress, the money lost, and a wedding in 4 days.

Such a shame we can’t trust anything online anymore.

Same position as many others…

Same position as many of the other reviews … ordered the Lisette dress which took over 3 weeks to arrive. Whilst the quality of the dress material is ok, it’s too small and also has a very stick zip that I think if forced would break. I emailed the team per the website about a return and like others, was offered a 10% refund and told returns are at customer cost. Do not be fooled like I was, it’s shocking service. Please do not buy from this site.

Just received my Dress that was ordered…

Just received my Dress that was ordered over 3 weeks ago, completely different colour to what was advertised and never a size 12/14 which is what I ordered more like a size 8 !!!!
Absolutely terrible quality, no labels and poorly packaged
As per the previous reviews I asked for return details and was told I had to pay to return the item and potentially custom costs plus it would take 1-2 months for a refund . I was offered a 10% refund, keep the dress and gift it to family or friends. I wouldn't insult anyone I know by gifting it to them
I am now left out of pocket and need to purchase a new dress for a special event which I cannot afford to do
This company need reporting to the trading standards to avoid anyone else going through this experience

Terrible

Terrible. Ordered a size medium dress going by their size guide online which was size 12 measurements It is more like a 6/8 tiny sizing. Triec to return was sent an e mail telling me they could not guarantee my return would ever make it back to their warehouse. Offered me a 10% refund instead????? How can they get away with this. Stay away from this site

They steal your money!!

I ordered a dress for my hen party and the image looked so good online in the advert (this is clearly how they make money to scam people). When it arrived the quality was Terrible!!! Considering I paid £70 for this dress, I felt like it was a scam as the material was so cheap and the tassels were falling off the bottom on the dress, the straps were made of cheap elastic from a craft store. Not want you expect when you are paying £70. The discount on the dress was too good to be true and I truly regret placing this order as it feels my money was stolen. To add, the dress had zero branding (surprising if they call themself a ‘luxury brand’, no tags at all on a brand new expensive dress, and it arrived in a cheap postage bag, again with zero branding, I had to question the legitimacy of this product but was ignored by the company about this. I complained via emails but kept getting the same response that I could only have a 10% refund and it would cost me a lot of money to send the dress back to China and I would be waiting 2 months for some of the refund . I was ripped off and feel like I have been scammed - extremely disappointed- DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SHOP
