First time visiting Luminate at Margam and really impressed. We took our 4yr old and 1yr old and they both had a great time. Route was completely pram friendly which was great, and lots for them both to look at and interact with. Bonus that there were dog-friendly nights too.

The perfect timing allowed our party to walk through the lights undisturbed by others in our sightline.

Relaxed atmosphere, we had a lovely time.We enjoyed!

This was our first Luminate experience, even though we live next to Sandringham! It was a magical evening we will never forget. As we walked slowly through the woods, it got better and better!! We stopped halfway for refreshments, then hot chips at the end.
Will definitely go again. Thank you so much.

Was a lovely display of lights and lasers at Sandringham, was worth the visit and they also have dog nights which is very good. It was quite expensive considering you also have to pay for parking.

Superb! The lighting is beautiful and mesmerising. We created more wonderful memories with family. Was actually shocked with how different it was from the year before, even though I missed the field of flowers set to the music as that was my favourite from previous year, it was excellent and the kids loved all the musical games. Fantastic.

A truely magical evening at Luminate Sandringham. The display was breathtaking and we loved every minute of it. There were so many unique and creative ideas. I can't wait to see the next display.

We've visited luminate 4 times now, it's truly a magical experience which is why we keep coming back, my son absolutely loves it and so did I and all the family it's perfect for creating magical memories and it was dog friendly on the evening we booked which was great as dogs are part of the family too, I'll definitely be booking again for Christmas and for the Halloween luminate it's absolutely fab! Can't wait for 2026! Thanks luminate for a fantastic display 10 out of 10 from us!

Really lovely experience, the children (particularly the 4 year old) found it really magical. Parking was well organised, and there were plenty of stewards to help guide you round. We really loved the wall of wishes and enjoyed reading some of the wishes that others had written. The interactive sections were good, and the timed entry meant the queues for interactive sections weren't too big.
The only detractor was that in the 90 minutes to get round the main toilets had gone from being quite clean to being filthy and unusable, so could have done with more attendants cleaning/restocking.

We visited the Birmingham Botanical Gardens Luminate experience and really enjoyed ourselves. It starts with food and drink stalls, selling items such as mulled wine and churros, which were very pricey. They even had gluten free crepes which actually made our night though, as usually this is overlooked.
You then go around the lights which are so creative and fun. There was even a section where you ring bells as a family to times light signals to play a Christmas song! There were so many well thought out, creative activities that we were really pleased.
Lots of easy access toilets and a nice little gift shop at the end completed our visit.
I’d recommend it to everyone to enjoy a festive, fun pre Christmas experience with others.

2025 and 2022 were my favourite years, lights were set out really well and my children both enjoyed the interactive parts, my youngest loved the fairies and they enjoy writing a wish.
Only downfall for us as our children can be extremely picky eaters is not knowing what food stalls will be there before we go, we bought food at the start as the first year we went we found the food stalls closed after we had walked round, but then we seen jacket potatoe stand which the kids would have preferred if we knew it was there.
Overall we have a lovely time here and will continue our yearly visits.

It was magical...everything was just perfect

Our second visit. The trail was still magical but there were elements from the first visit I missed, especially certain interactive elements which the children had enjoyed on the first visit. Some new parts of the experience were good,however, like the illuminated swing chairs.

Our first visit to Luminate. We went to Ashton Court and it was brilliant. It took us about 45 mins to amble around with brief stops for mulled wine and toasting marshmallows. Only thing that could have been improved was more information on accessing the site via public transport (not car). Will look to go again next year and have recommended.

We have been before and to other winter light displays but this is our favourite.
The marshmallow toasting and mulled wine half way round is lovely and reasonably priced too.
It’s good that the Sandringham gift shop stays open till late too

Lights and experience was fantastic, great festive evening for couples or families

This year marked our fifth visit to Luminate at Sandringham, and it’s become a much-loved girls’ night tradition for my friend Mandy and me — though this time we brought along our partners and Mandy’s dogs too! It was wonderful to see how dog-friendly the event is, with so many happy pups (some even sparkly and dressed up!) clearly enjoying the trail just as much as the humans. The lights were beautiful as always, and the whole experience feels so magical and welcoming. We especially love stopping halfway to toast marshmallows over the fire pits, enjoying a mulled wine, and then finishing the evening with a trip to the fairground. Five years on, it still feels like the perfect way to get festive, and we’re already looking forward to next time.

This is the 2nd year of coming to luminate. This year was different which is good, it could get boring if it was the same! We missed the rose field but the lasers made up for it! We love the midway marshmallows and mulled wine. The rides were overpriced, this was the only negative! Well done and thank you

Really enjoyed the lights for the first time in 2025. Found the trail to be well laid out and easy for our elderly parents, 9yrs and 12yrs children to get around at their own pace. The kids loved the interactive sounds stations along the route.
The food was good and reasonably priced for this kind of event.
All in all we would attend again in the future as a nice family Christmassy event before the big day

We had fun in Coombe Abbey’s Luminate Christmas lights. Marshmallows was really lush. The lights were just magical. We specifically love the fairies inside the cages and the make a wish message. Well recommended as our money spent was well worth it!
