This was a wonderful way to start my Christmas holiday. The trail was well thought out and supervised. Despite it being a wet, windy evening we enjoyed the lights and thankfully it dried up so we could enjoy the refreshments at the end of the trail as there weren’t many covered seating areas.

Visited Luminate at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, 5 adults (2 OAPs) and 2 children, 8 and 6. Had a very good time, there are many, varied light installations along the trail and the laser/sound show at the end was spectacular.

Second time at margam laminate and we absolutely loved it. I would say I felt parts of it were a bit samey but still very much enjoyable. I also think some more drink pit stops would worth while too. Still an over all great experience

Our first visit to Luminate Birmingham, we thought it was an excellent Display, very well constructed throughout the Route with a stunning light show at the end, and very pleasant and helpful Staff

Our second visit and the magic is still there it’s absolutely outstanding and the lights are amazing . I first took my daughter when she was only a couple months old and 5 years later on it’s still amazingly breathtaking as the first time . Thank you luminate for a beautiful show in outstanding grounds .

Have been for the past 3 years. Love going. Such a great evening and lovely walk around Coombe Abbey Park.

It was our first visit to Luminate at Ashton Court and it was a fantastic evening. The trail was beautiful and well priced and there was a lovely atmosphere the evening we visited. It was well organised and the staff were really friendly. Would definitely book again!

This is our 3rd visit to Luminate and we really enjoyed it! Loved the grounds full of different colour bulbs. Walking round felt easier as the uphill bit was at the start, rather than towards the end when you're getting tired. Would like more non alcoholic drinks available - like a cuppa somewhere en route. Have Luminate thought about using the indoor space of Margam orangery for a big children's adventure area, in the dry and warm??

I thought the Luminate experience was brilliant. Went to the one at three counties showground a couple of years ago. Thought that one was really poor. This on the other hand was so so much better. Loved the Butterflies and the root network under the trees. Moving lights through the trees was verry effective and gave a lovely ambience. The laser show was so good at the end. Well done to all the installation team. Heres to next year.

This company is not transparent with its review process. Feedback appears to be filtered via email: if you give fewer than four stars, you’re redirected to a Google Form that seemingly goes nowhere. Only four- and five-star reviews are displayed publicly, which misrepresents both the service and the company.

If you contact them directly they respond with AI generated responses.
looking at the reviews most of the recent posts appear fake, including some that appear to come from locations outside the UK. This experience has made me question how reliable online reviews are in general

Only last week, the 1 star status was 50% and now suddenly only 4%

Absolutely outstanding. Blown away. We've been before but this was the best one ever! A real pre-Christmas treat. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next year.

Visited the Bristol light show. It was absolutely beautiful (for two adults) but would imagine that any child would be awestruck. The fairies in cages were amazing. It is a bit pricey for what it is so might cost out many families as an extra holiday activity but if you can do it it's well worth a visity.

We love Luminate, and go every year as it’s become our Christmas tradition. However, it’s very samey, and has become a bit predictable about what we will experience, making it quite pricey. It would be lovely to have a completely new experience each time to warrant the entry costs, and to add to the wow factor. That said, what’s not to love about walking through the woods, at night in the winter, being surrounded by beautiful lights?

We were pleased to have visited Luminate at Ashton Court, Bristol. It was a nice way to ease into Christmas and some of the light displays were really impressive and imaginative - the suspended disco ball surrounded by the huge fir trees being our favourite and I also found the fairy wood charming. It was quite pricy for what it was and as a result, I probably wouldn't return right away, preferring to leave longer between visits to maximise the novelty value.

Brilliant light show. Nice variety of different lights and lots of staff around incase needed help. Far superior light show compared to others I have been to - Cardiff Bute park lights show (different company).

It was a first time experience for us ,absolutely fantastic well worth the travel and the cost, one of our party is special needs and in a wheelchair all accommodations were met the ground was a bit dicey in places but all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly 5 stars all the way and we will be returning this year

The whole experience was brilliant, we went on a dog friendly night which suited us. The light displays were brilliant especially the appearing and disappearing Stag. The fairies in their homes were good. Nothing spooked our dog and the mulledcwine and pizzas were very enjoyable.

Absolutely brilliant. My son and partner loved it. Made a fab memory together and the details and effort put into the experience was amazing

Our second time at Margam park and we loved it- so pleased there were changes from last year so it wasn’t boring. A touch pricey, especially the food and drinks, but it’s a really lovely festive evening
