Great Safari Experience!

Great Safari Experience!

It was easy booking the tour with this company, Ibrahim was very supportive and arranged everything to our plan. We booked 6 days safari to the Northern part of Tanzania and it was the best choice ever!

We thank our driver Mr. Okuli who shared his knowledge with us and gave us all the information we needed during our stay in Tanzania. The accommodation was good except the one in Ngorongoro which was simple and old

I will recommend Luitours and Safaris for anyone looking for safari in Tanzania

Disappointing!

Embarked on a 4-day safari to Selous. On the way to the national park, the driver slammed into a curb. The impact injuring my wife’s lower back, hip and ribs. It was an unforced, self-accident and 100% fault of the driver. There were witnesses. He apologized profusely over and over again. My wife was in considerable pain and unable to continue the safari. We were forced to cancel the trip. As this was the fault of the tour company driver, one would expect the tour operator to make up for their error by offering to host the safari at a later date or a refund. But no, nothing! And when I asked for a partial refund on the safari, the tour operator refused, claiming it was not their fault and that he is out a lot of money! Not what you want to hear from your tour operator.
While accidents can happen on adventure trips, it’s how a company responds to such situations that separate the good ones from the bad ones. We did not feel safe or important with this company and are very disappointed. In the end, no safari, no animals, no refund, just an injured wife and bad memories.

Steven booked 8 Days Safari to Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha and Udzungwa Mountains National Park

On 31st May 2023 (Few hours before safari) he called me that they will not be able to start the tour in the next morning because his wife got sick in Zanzibar and he wanted me to adjust the tour by one day which I agreed (To start the tour on 2nd June) with the same itinerary

That they'll fly to Dar on 1st June so they can start the tour on 2nd June. But on 1st June he then called and texted me that his wife is very sick and the Doctor in Zanzibar advised them not to fly

He texted me on 2nd June informing me that it will be hard for them to fly as his wife is not doing well, but they wish to fly the next day (3rd June) to Dar es Salaam and just relax in the hotel for 3 days

He asked me if I can book the hotel in Dar es Salaam for them. He picked the hotel (Mediterrano Hotel) and we booked, we also arranged airport pick for them (From Dar es Salaam airport to the Mediterrano Hotel). So, on 3rd June they arrived at the airport at 21:45pm and we transferred them to their hotel

On 5th June he texted me that his wife is still weak but they wish to go on safari the next day. And asked me if I can offer them a small safari for 4 days and they were suggesting Nyerere National Park, I said ok, I'll do it because they planned this trip since 2019 and I wanted them to have a really taste of Tanzania Safari

He suggested accommodation which is comfortable to stay and rest incase his wife won't be able to go for game drive as she was still sick and weak. I booked them Selous Safari Lodge for 3 nights. Then on 6th June the tour started and I gave them the best safari car with AC and a well professional driver/guide. The driver was driving very slowly as they've requested, as you all know that from Dar es Salaam to Selous after getting out of town there's a rough road and after a certain drive his wife stoped the car and start complaining that she broke her rib saying that the driver hit a curb

The driver asked to take her to the hospital but she refused. He then asked them if they are ok to continue with the safari to Selous and she said it's fine they can proceed with the drive. I'm wondering how someone with the broken rib continue with the safari and refused to go to the hospital 🤔

Upon arrival at the lodge they start complaining that there's no alcohol at the lodge. Steven and the driver went to the village to buy some wines and returned. His wife after taken the wine she was happy and went straight to the restaurant to order food while holding a glass of wine. Someone with broken rib moving around holding a glass of wine 🤔

Later night Steven called me and complaining that his wife is very sick and she won't continue with the safari and she doesn't want to get back to the Jeep. He asked if I can get flight for them to Dar es Salaam, I send him a link where he can book flight After few minutes he called again and asked if they can return to Dar es Salaam the next morning with the Jeep. I said its ok and they insisted a slowly drive as usual

Our driver did his best and drop them at the airport in Dar. He later start complaining about refund. He said that he need $2000 as a refund that the driver ruined their safari. I also reminded him that we booked him a total of 13 nights (8 days/ 7nights + 3 nights in Dar + 4 days/ 3 nights Nyerere). It was a loss for us and we don't have any money for refund, he threatened me that he'll write bad reviews about our company which he actually did

His wife was sick all along and they forced to do safari on purpose so they can get some loop hole and an excuses to take an advantages for refund

We know that we can't please everyone but we promise our clients that we'll continue to do good job despite of few negative situations like this

A fantastic experience with Luitours and Safaris

Ibrahim had been very responsive and was able to take care of our concerns relating to changes in itinerary. The entire safari went on as per the agreed schedule without any changes
The jeeps were really comfortable and everyone had a window seat! Plus the roof went up so that we could get a better view of the game drive

Our guide Freddy was kind, fun and knowledgeable and gave us a great safari! Freddy was also a really good driver, which made our journey feel very safe the whole time

He always did everything possible to make our safari experience incredible. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife

Thanks again Ibrahim and Freddy for an unforgettable experience!

We have travelled to many countries but…

We have travelled to many countries but never to the African continent so after talking to travel agents here, lots of research online and emailing different tour companies in Tanzania we decided to make our booking directly with Luitours and Safaris.

I bombarded Ibrahim with questions constantly about the safari and he replied almost immediately and answered my questions and put my mind at rest. Our guide Freddy was incredible, so friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and where to find them and he took great care of us every moment of our 10 days on safari.

The idea to overnight in tents seemed a bit scaring for us in advance, but proved to be the best way of exploring the animal life in the parks. Also the standard in the tent camps were outstanding.

We spotted the big five and two cheetahs. Caught a group of lions by looking at one beta male, and understanding the roaring heard the previous night was a warning from the alpha male. I am still so impressed about how our guide was able to spot the animals from miles away! The vehicle we had was very clean and comfortable with water and soft drinks.

We had a perfect trip to Tanzania. We are really glad that we booked our trip with Luitours and Safaris and can highly recommend it. Ibrahim and his crew cared about us very well! Thank you for the great holiday

Short but worth it!

We booked our safari with Luitours and Safari’s. We had amazing experience at Mikumi National Park, everything went well, from the pick up to the drop off point.
Our driver was very kind, knowledgeable and he showed us lots of animals in the Park.
We also want to appreciate the man from the office (Ibrahim) who arranged everything and gave answers to all our questions.
We highly recommend this agency.
