Office Timeline strives to be an ethical company, and that is why the following have been standard procedures for years when it comes to Auto-Renew-On subscriptions:

1. You can set Auto-Renew to ON/OFF at checkout, when making the initial purchase.
2. You can always log into your account and turn Auto-Renewal ON/OFF.
3. 6 months into your 1-year subscription, when Auto-Renew is set to ON, we send you a reminder that you can turn it OFF if you want to.
4. 30 days before license expiration, we send you an email reminder that the license will Auto-Renew if it is set to ON.
5. 15 days before license expiration we once again send you an email reminder that the license will Auto-Renew if it is set to ON.
6. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked.

It seems that you have missed our notifications but that's not a problem as you can always ask for a refund by writing to our support department: support[at]officetimeline.com or by opening a support ticket: https://support.officetimeline.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We do not want to take money from people who are not planning on or don't find value in using them. That is why I encourage you to use one of the above options in order to get a refund. Thank you!

Hello again! Unfortunately, TrustPilot doesn't allow us or the reviewer to directly reply to a particular answer within a thread.

We understand that you did not want to renew the Office Timeline subscription and we are sorry that our product hasn't brought value to you. This is why I informed you about the possibility of requesting a refund. I would have asked one of my customer support colleagues to contact you directly to process this refund, but your review is not associated with any e-mail address or full name that we can use to search for your account within our database. So, once again, we rely on you to reach out to us at support[at]officetimeline.com with regards to this matter.

I also need to make some clarifications towards some of your statements, specifically with regards to:
1) Not being able to opt out from a subscription that you never enrolled into.
Office Timeline is a software-as-a-service type of product. It comes as a freemium model AND two paid editions. For you to be charged by us means to have purchased a subscription for any of the two paid editions (Office Timeline Pro or Office Timeline Pro+). Purchasing a subscription for any of these two involves a series of mandatory AND intentional steps: choosing one of the two paid plans, adding it to one’s basket, proceeding to checkout, entering email address (if the user hasn’t already created an account beforehand) along with payment details, and confirming the purchase.
We could never “enroll” anyone to any of our subscriptions without their knowledge as the process is multifaceted and requires the user’s input and consent several times along the way.
2) Not receiving our Renewal notifications because these were not in place.
We have used this system from the very beginning to ensure that everyone’s aware of our renewal policies and get to decide whether they extend their license with Office Timeline or not. Here’s a review that another customer left back in 2016 to express satisfaction with our notification system in terms of renewing one’s subscription:

Since you mentioned that you marked our emails as spam, this may explain why you didn’t receive your renewal reminders. It may be possible that you marked as spam not only our marketing e-mails, but our customer service ones as well.
Either way, you can reach out to support and ask for a refund and always use the freemium model that we offer.

Thank you for purchasing and reviewing the Office Timeline add-in, David! It’s great that the tool is helping you create quality project plans that are easy-to-understand for your audiences.

In terms of having the option to display a planned vs. actual baseline on your graphic, it is one of the main priorities on our product development roadmap. As we strive to continuously improve the product, we regularly release new features and enhancements. Whenever such additions become available, you will be notified in-app and prompted to update your add-in build to the latest version so you can access these new functionalities.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, here’s what you can do to show task progress in a manner similar to that of a baseline:
• In the Edit Data window, add your tasks and then duplicate them (use task titles that will allow you to pair them easily as Actual – Planned);
• Use the Timeline View’s drag&drop functionality to move the paired tasks one above the other;
• Adjust the dates of the paired tasks so that they reflect their planned vs actual progress;
• Use the associated option under Task Shape from the Style Pane to set the spacing to Narrow and then click the up-down incremental arrows below to decrease the spacing to the lowest value possible.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to review the Office Timeline add-in and provide feedback on its functionalities. We are glad to know that you are pleased with our product’s usability, interface, and customizable templates.

With regards to having the layout of various timeline elements changed after applying an edit, please note that the add-in can handle a variety of custom changes, but there are some that it doesn't support. This is why I recommend that you click the “Accept” button on the Office Timeline ribbon whenever making such amendments on the visual.

By doing so, the manual edits that are supported will be saved (and kept even when updating a date or other objects on the graphic), while any formatting that is not supported will be reset to default. A solution for the latter case is to make these unsupported manual changes right at the end, after you've finished editing your graphic.

Regarding the ability to make your milestone connectors thicker and more visible, this is not yet possible from the add-in’s Style Pane. However, you can use PowerPoint’s native controls to increase the thickness of your connectors by following the simple steps below:
• Select all the connecters by long-pressing the CTRL key and then clicking on the intended items;
• Under the “Shape Format” tab on the PowerPoint ribbon, click on “Shape Outline”;
• Select “Width” from the dropdown menu that appears next, and then choose the desired thickness of your connectors from the list of available options.

Once you are ready, please make sure to click the Accept button on the Office Timeline ribbon. The add-in can handle a variety of custom changes, but there are some that it doesn't support. When clicking Accept, the manual edits that are supported will be saved (and kept even when updating a date or other objects on the graphic), while any formatting that is not supported will be reset to default. A solution for the latter case is to make these unsupported manual changes right at the end, after you've finished editing your graphic.

If you want to enjoy more flexibility in terms of the units displayed on the timescale of your visual, you can:

• Choose to show fiscal years on the timescale. By default, Office Timeline calculates the timeline scale based on the calendar year (January-December). If your organization’s fiscal year (FY) starts on a different month than January, you can easily configure the add-in to show your custom FY on the timescale.
