Advertising a property as still available which the agent had already withdrawn

Terrible service, terrible portal, auto renew contracts that tie you in for 12 months without signing new agreements.

The "premium plan" is a shit. Their billing practices are designed to steal from people. The listings give no leads. Awful

Please everyone be aware they are completely scammer.They listed my commercial property without I put on the market also US currency dollar😄and property in United Kingdom. shame on you horrible company.

Just spent half a day listing a prime commercial property on LoopNet (owned by CoStar) using their “basic” free plan. Guess how many views I got? Zero. Not one.

Here’s the reality they won’t tell you:
🔒 Free listings are hidden—barely show up in searches unless you pay for premium exposure.
💸 Upsell central—everything is a push to spend money for visibility that should be standard.
🕒 Time wasted—their platform is clunky, asks for endless details, and defaults to listing your entire property or center if you’re not careful.

Avoid Alta Property Group – Holding My Security Deposit Without Reason
I strongly advise against renting from Alta Property Group due to their unethical handling of security deposits. After moving out, I have repeatedly contacted them over several months regarding my deposit return, yet they continue to ignore my emails and delay payment without providing any valid reason.
I left the property in good condition, meeting all lease requirements for a full refund, but despite my persistence, Alta Property Group refuses to honor their obligations. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Tenants should not have to chase down money that legally belongs to them.
If you’re considering renting from Alta Property Group, I strongly urge you to think twice. Their lack of communication and disregard for tenants’ rights is frustrating and unfair. Don't make the same mistake I did—find a more trustworthy property management company.

You are billed for your listing after you have removed it.

They will auto renew your subscription, even if you tell them you only want a 3 month because your listing is due to expire. They should at least send an email out that the subscription is going to renew. This is a very dirty way to do business, especially with someone who was a long time customer.

They are Liars. They will tell you anything repeated stories that are neither feasible true or align with the last one they told you.

Start the new year right and go with someone else. Utterly clueless about property.

Champion bullshitters

Just last month, one of our agents listed a property onto LoopNet on a Friday, and by Monday, we had a conditional deal in place. The agent commented, "Well, that’s the power of proper marketing!" Scam company. Had a listing placed for three months. After 3 months my ad was removed, but my credit card was being charged monthly for the next 4 months. When I found out they would not refund me and claimed advertisement has nothing to do with credit card cancelations.....wtf

Sales won't stop harassing me sending excessive emails and calls after asking them to stop dozens of times. They are a telemarketing and spam company and nothing more. Stay away.

Going on a year now of bi weekly calls. Had to block their number.

Repeated inquirires ignored. Don't waste your time

Once you sign up for an account Loopnet is going to keep hitting your credit card until you take extreme action. I cancelled online, called, emailed and they still wouldn't stop. They are everything bad you can imagine in a SaaS provider.

Use Crexi or some other provider instead. Do not trust Loopnet with your credit card.

Great app, it shows detail information and photos to make buyers and sellers connect simple, fast and easy.

I just noticed this review was attributed to a different company, which is inexplicable. This review was for Costar / Loopnet and relates to my experience with them over a course of nine months 2019 and 2020.

1. The property description information on one of my listings was missing and the contact info on all my listings was incorrect - including the spelling of my name. Somehow, all the information, most of the photos, the flyers and links were all deleted from one of my listings. 2. To make matters worse, my profile bio was also missing and... 3. Worst of all, my contact information on ALL my listings was incorrect. So, in essence all the potential leads were being referred to another agency (with which I have never been affiliated) whose logo and phone number were prominently displayed on my listings. My experience with this agency's agents over the past 19 years has not been favorable, which made the association even more biting and distressing to me personally.

No explanation was offered for this error, which in terms of marketing and representation is quite significant.

I had to enter all the information on the listing once again and I had to recreate my profile from scratch - not necessarily a big deal, but unexpected commitment of time. The customer service representative corrected the agency and logo error.

Secondly, I attempted to enter a lease listing and it would not allow me to go beyond the initial property description page. The continue button at the bottom of the page would not activate. I entered the address in several different manners at the suggestion of customer support to no avail. The customer support representative asked me to send COSTAR/LoopNet the information for it to be entered on their end, which I did on Friday morning. The listing is still not up and we missed the advantage of the weekend. I have three lease listings to post and looked forward to them being displayed correctly.

Perhaps the only reason this company became a market resource is due to the fact that it WAS the only venue for commercial real estate. That has now changed and Commercial REALTORS® are becoming wiser.

This is the best site if you're looking into buying real estate to flip or even live in. The site gives a very detailed breakdown of all the information you need when buying/renting a home/apartment. Site is very easy to use.
