Extremely misleading
Would not recommend this company AT ALL - downloaded the app to record ONE video that an interviewer requested for an interview. I signed up for the 'free version' however they forget to mention that the free version is only a 14 day trial and you're lumped with a bill at the end. Trying to navigate deleting or downgrading the account has also been a nightmare and just sent round in circles. In order to delete, you need to downgrade from the highest package they'll automatically put you on. To downgrade, you need to find a specific tab which is hidden in the account settings somewhere. When you finally navigate that, you'll try to delete your account and be told no, and in fact you need to now delete all the apps they link with your account first. In order to delete the apps, you need to go onto another third party app, and also navigating this button has been next to impossible and I still havent been able to do. They wont let you delete your account till the apps are gone.
An absolute nightmare and just feels like a trap and scam, once you get in its IMPOSSIBLE to get out and its purposely done this way. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
It just works!
Instead of writing a 3 page email explaining how to use our new software, I just record a 2 minute video of my screen with Loom. It’s way faster, and my team actually understands what I’m talking about. I love that it tells me when someone has actually watched the video. It makes remote work feel a lot less like shouting into a void. It's simple, fast, and just works.

I keep getting marketing emails, I cannot remove my account. It feels like they are trying to trap you with their service in legally questionable ways.
Very good concept - Not Well Executed
Very good concept, but not well executed. Too slow, too buggy. It needs time to get to the shape it needs to be. So hopefully in a couple of months it will run much better.
BEWARE: Atlassian is force-upgrading Lite accounts to more expensive plans!
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD ON FILE WITH LOOM. I had a dormant "Lite" account that I hadn't used in months. Instead of leaving my legacy account alone during the recent Atlassian migration, they forcefully upgraded me to a "Loom + AI / Creator" tier without my explicit consent and started charging the credit card I had on file more.
They sent a single, easily missed email burying the fact that they would automatically upgrade "Lite" users to paid tiers and charge them unless users logged into their new, confusing Atlassian admin system to manually opt out.
Force-upgrading users from a free tier to a paid tier using an "opt-out" dark pattern (Negative Option Billing) is a predatory and highly unethical business practice. You cannot upgrade someone's pricing tier without their explicit, opt-in consent.
If you have an old Loom account, check your credit card statements immediately and delete your billing info.
They are using this platform migration as a smokescreen to artificially boost their revenue by silently upgrading legacy users who aren't paying attention. I am fighting them for a refund. Absolutely shameful.
Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience. I reached out to cancel my subscription and request a refund, only to be met with a rigid policy response and zero flexibility. Despite canceling on the same day as the renewal, they refused to issue any refund, hiding behind a “48-hour cancellation” rule that clearly does not take real user situations into account.

Since they switched to Atlassian, the support is terrible. Hard difficult to make billing changes in the account now.

created a free account on loom, seems they automatically signed me up for a paid plan on 'atlassian' who are now sending me emails saying payment is overdue.. and are not allowing me to delete my account and data.
Avoid this criminal operation.
Don't waste your time.
On the face of it, Loom is a good product...when it works. I've spent more time re-recording videos because of bugs and sound issues than actually getting any value out of the product. The support staff are pretty good, that said it doesn't get back all the time I've wasted on this product. It's been around for years, I don't understand why these simple issues aren't resolved.

Attempting to cancel and get support from Atlassian has been extremely frustrating and unnecessarily complicated, costing me significant time and energy.

I've started to receive spam emails as share looms, and there is no way for me to report this. It looks like as a company they've removed all publicly available support emails. There website says to login to your account to start a ticket, but I don't have an account, nor do I want one. No choice but to mark all loom emails as spam. What a dumb decision.
Worst experience ever
Wish I could give 0 stars. I've been using Loom for years and was always pretty happy with it. However, since a couple of months many of my videos don't get saved and stay stuck in processing. It's unbelievable how such a simple functionality cannot work properly. I've literally wasted 2.5 hours of my precious time, focus and energy earlier today on two videos that stay in processing forever.
They claim "only 0.1%" of their videos experience issues, that's absolutely nonsense. I've experienced this time and time again.
If anyone knows an alternative to Loom that does what it promises, please let me know.

I’ve been using Loom for years and it was once a simple, reliable tool for recording and sharing videos. Since their integration with Atlassian, the platform has become increasingly buggy and confusing.
Workspace management is unclear, especially for company Google accounts.
Upgrading plans or managing team roles often triggers requests to admins, even when you are the admin.
Features like “Leave Workspace” or changing member roles are hidden or disabled without explanation.
Overall, the interface feels less intuitive and more restrictive than before.
I hope Loom addresses these usability issues soon — it used to be a product I could recommend without hesitation.

Disappointing Service
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Loom. My subscription recently renewed for a second month, and despite the fact that I haven't recorded a single video since the renewal, they are refusing to issue a refund.
Even during the first month, I hardly used the platform (only a couple of videos) because the app's performance was poor and did not meet my expectations. The user experience was overall very unsatisfying. It is frustrating to be charged for a service I am not using and have no intention of using due to its low quality.
I expected better customer flexibility for a "pro" service. I would recommend looking for more reliable alternatives with better support policies.

App doesn't work, can't record. Support have continuously told me conflicting information and techincally complex steps to resolve. Tried 5 times over several months and no resolution.
