The London Welbeck Hospital Omdömen 

Was able to accommodate for my access needs as a wheelchair user. Staff have always been friendly and I felt safe and looked after when I was an inpatient after surgery.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. I struggle with extreme hospital anxiety however when I had my operation and stayed overnight and I was well looked after and the staff made me feel safe.

The day staff I had the pleasure of meeting mostly seemed very helpful and compassionate, unfortunately the night staff were anything but that, I was made to feel an in convenience to them and when they did attempt to help me out of bed or back into bed I wasn’t handled with care or delicacy at all it was very rough. I ended up trying to hold my wee in through the night so I didn’t have to go through that again.

There was also a time where I asked if I was due more pain killer as I was struggling and a lady snapped at me and said sternly I told you I will get you some , I was also concerned as I hadn’t been able to eat anything all day and night after my operation and was on strong pain relief so the nurse said I had to eat something and when I tried to eat some soup she stood there and watched me struggle with the bed not being up enough and as I’ve gone to ask for more help she just walked out clearly frustrated by me. I was to worried to voice any of my concerns as I knew I needed as much help and support as possible whilst I was at the hospital and didn’t want to annoy anyone but I do have to say I have never received care like it and cannot fault places like spire hospitals so would have thought paying so much money to stay in a London private hospital would have been the same if not better.

Generally the hospital itself was okay but on arrival the room was freezing, like outdoor freezing I struggled to even use the bathroom if was so cold I couldn’t have even thought about showering there, my mum asked for a portable heater for me and we were refused but then a lovely day nurse came and introduced herself to me and got me one and eventually my room warmed up, the food was also like a school menu and wasn’t nice from what I tried, this wasn’t a big deal to me but in a comparrason of where I have previously had treatment and care it slacked massively

I was really upset by the experience and this all happened whilst I was in an unfit state to look after myself even with basic care and was on morphine (sorry if this is too much to say) but I feel I should also add that I couldn’t even wipe myself after a wee and I was just watched and tutted at is read of being helped. Luckily I was only there for a night but I feel like I should say something to hopefully help people who are in there for longer or need even more help and assistance then I even did. I t wasn’t nice and dignity and pride seem to go out of the window when you have operations like this anyway but to then be treated like this on top of that makes you feel almost ashamed.

The care from the staff is second to none. I was looked after so well.
My only negative was the food, after having plastic surgery they promote a high protein nutrient dense diet and I thought the food selection for a private hospital wasn’t great. I’m aware it’s not a hotel it could just do with an overhaul of the menu options.

I recently had surgery under the care of Mr Jallali (who is a fantastic cosmetic surgeon) I stayed over night at the Welbeck and from the moment I entered to the moment I left I received outstanding care.
The rooms were clean and private.
The nurses were amazing especially Marta who was on day shift and took excellent care of me and all my needs, she was friendly and warming. Also the two lovely nurses on night shift were always on hand to help, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so caring.
I had such a positive experience at the Welbeck, brilliant care all around from the nurses, doctors and theatre staff you are all amazing and work so hard.

I recently underwent a tummy tuck and breast lift procedure. This review is specifically about the hospital facilities at The Welbeck, and does not reflect on my surgeon or his private team, who have been exceptional throughout.
The hospital rooms at The Welbeck are in need of refurbishment and, in my experience, were quite average. My room felt somewhat dark and and gloomy which was disappointing.
The dinner options were acceptable, but breakfast was disappointing. Given the importance of nutrition in post-operative healing, I was surprised by the lack of protein-rich options — for instance, breakfast consisted of two slices of low nutrition toast, one of which was the end piece.
While all the nurses I encountered were kind, attentive, and explained procedures clearly, I did experience some communication difficulties with the night nurse. Her English was quite limited, and although she managed the basics well, it was challenging to ask questions or have a more in-depth conversation, as it became clear she didn’t fully understand me.
On a positive note, the operating theatre itself (from what I remember) appeared very modern and well-equipped — which, of course, is more critical than the comfort of the patient rooms.
Overall, this review is intended to help set realistic expectations for future patients. I had anticipated a more modern (and homely) facility in a prime central London location.

There was a nurse called Jane that I had a bad experience during my over night stay. She was grumpy and made me feel demanding when I asked her for things. I had a really long procedure under general anaesthetic and I needed assistance on a number of occasions during the night. At one stage I said to her that I hoped she got some rest during the night and she told me that she would if I was not calling her every ten minutes. This was not true. I probably rang the bell about 4 times during the night because I was uncomfortable and the pain relief was not working. It was a really really horrible experience and I hope no one else has to go through this.

My nurse was so lovely and made the experience so brilliant. Everyone was so kind and sweet!!!

My one night hospital stay was amazing, I was comfortable, looked after to a very high standard and nothing was too much to ask! Friendly, caring, attentive staff and clean room and bathroom, the theatre in there was spotless and the anaesthetic staff were very kind, informative and reassuring.

I had an amazing experience. Hospital
Was pristine and lovely to have my own room and en suite. I was truly well looked after by all the staff including the surgeon and nurses. All were so attentive and caring and continuously came and checked up on me. Felt so relaxed and reassured. The food was lovely also. Couldn’t rate this place enough.

Friendly and helpful staff who made my day case as comfortable as possible.

I was very well looked after at The London Welbeck Hospital. The nurses, anaesthetist and surgical staff put me at ease straight away and made my time there very comfortable.
My surgeon Dr Mo Akhavani also comes with high recommendation. An absolute genius in his field.

I had top surgery with Dr Miles Berry on the 29th of May at The London Welbeck Hospital and couldn't fault the experience, I had a lovely stay as the private room was clean and kitted out with all the things I needed for my overnight stay including a TV and wardrobe which proved useful to have access to my clothes for when I had to leave. I had an amazing experience with the nurses who were lovely to me and efficient with their work as they had to continue checking my vitals throughout the afternoon and the evening post surgery. I am a very picky eater and didn't end up trying anything other than toast and tea on the menu whenever I wanted it due to general nausea that was treated with anti sickness pills when I raised the concern so I cant particularly comment on that but it seemed as though there was a good variety. I highly recommend Dr Miles Berry to anybody seeking top surgery as my results are nothing short of perfection and his friendly but professional demanour will certainly ease any of your worries. Overall I highly recommend The London Welbeck Hospital and had an overwhelmingly positive experience :)

All the staff were excellent in their roles and they took great care of me.

Great place - nursing staff so knowledgeable and caring - always explaining everything as they went along and so gentle with injections and drain removal - really wonderful staffing team - thank you for looking after me so well

High level of hygiene at the hospital and good level of care and attention from the nurses. However, the choice of food menu options and quality could certainly be improved.

I honestly had the most perfect stay at The London Welbeck Hospital. Everything was pristine clean, the bed was comfortable, the food was lovely, but overall the staff were incredibly caring and attentive. I felt very safe in their care, and I can’t rate the nurses and my surgeon highly enough 😊

Made to feel very welcome and comfortable throughout my stay, all staff involved in my care/ procedure introduced themselves to and happily explained everything I asked, would highly recommend
