Literally the whole of our downstairs was flooded, so we got London drains around to help fix the issue, they found the pipes damaged with roots and blockages. Cleared in a couple of hours and also helped us get all flooded area sorted with their gear. Thanks chaps - life savers!

Be warned about London Drains Direct questionable quotation methods as they will con you into paying much more than you need to. I contacted them to unblock two toilets after seeing their advertised price was £160 + VAT for a machine clearance. When they attended, they said the job would be much more involved, that toilets would have to be removed and being wall mounted toilets it wouldn’t be easy etc etc. They quoted a fixed price of £425 + VAT and got me to sign before they commenced. As it turned out they didn’t have to remove the toilets at all, they did a simple machine clearance using a Flexi-Shaft machine and were out in less than an hour. Despite phoning and emailing they have ignored my requests for a refund of the difference.

Wouldnt use anyone else if our blocked drain arose again. Cleaned the drains within 90 minutes. Nice one

I cannot praise London Drains highly enough.They arrived within an hour of my phone call and quickly assessed the problem. Ten minutes later my blocked downstairs toilet was clear and working again. Ben from London Drains attended our property due to disgusting raw sewage coming up in our garden. The phone communication was excellent and the prices were fully explained before the appointment and were very competitive compared to others we contacted. Ben did what he could to resolve the issue and found it was due to a neighbour connecting their toilet to the rainwater pipe! He told us straightaway and said we had to report it to Thames Water which we did. We found Ben to be professional, polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful - you cant ask for more than that. Turned up within an hour. Did the job as per the quoted. Problem solved of outside blocked drain. A relief. The guy who showed up was Ben who was cheerful and polite - professional. Other services quoted me more per hour and you don't know what the final amount would be. Some couldn't come on the day which means we could not run any water. London Drains Direct answered the phone timely, showed up timely, solved the problem. Would use them again.

Thank you for responding, my point is not that you didn't state your costs, just the reality of them.

£12 per min is extortionate.

You talk about £60+VAT for manual, and £120+ VAT for mechanical - but never that it takes less than 10 mins. Looking through your reviews it is fairly common that it is this quick.

Also, "he put his hand down the drain and pulled out loads of fat" is rather dramatic for what actually happened.

Contacted London Drains Direct were very professional over the phone and had Ben see to the problem. Was very helpful, fast and efficient. Explained with transparency and honesty. So grateful, has restored my faith (have had many crooked engineers do botch-up jobs). Thank you.

London Drains came promptly and efficiently to sort out a blocked rainwater drain, caused unbeknown to any of us, by British Gas in the 1990s drilling a hole through it to put a new residential gas mains pipe through, to save digging deeper to route the pipe under the drain. The quality of service I got from London Drains was excellent and really friendly, even to the extent of ringing National Grid to report the problem and get me a number to call.
I would recommend them to anyone.

Perfect job today. Some years ago dynarod cleared my drains and noted there were many stones down there, but did nothing about it. No surprise then that today they got blocked again. The LDD guy also noted the stones and physically almost disappeared down the manhole spending half an hour scooping them all out by hand. But the U bend, also full of stones, is unreachable by hand. So he tried to blast them out with high pressure - no luck. And tried again - no luck. His mate and I suggested to call it a day, but he persisted and on the last try and after an hour of trying managed to unblock. Over and above the call of duty!! Superb!

Had a problem with a blocked main drain outside causing backup-up sewage for the whole house. Spoke to London Drains by 'phone and they were very clear and upfront about the charging structure.

Barry and his mate arrived later that day and were incredibly efficient and effective at getting the job done. They made sure that 3 sections of drain and the outlet to the main sewer beneath the road were cleared of blockages.

Bottom line is that I can now be confident that the entire system is clear and working as it should and the work was carried out for a fair price with no hidden extras. I can't ask for more than that.

Very prompt and good natured service. They sorted out a blocked outdoor drain, and left the area clean and tidy. Nice people to deal with.

We had a clogged up kitchen sink and Edward turned up within an hour of us making the call. He tried everything to unclog the system as it was pretty bad and managed to fix the problem after half an hour. He waited to make sure it’s all working, so I could not recommend him more. Great job!
