This company is a scam.
Do not use them.
Provided no fees up front and when they arrived wanted $1379 to unlock 1 door made up of emergency call out fee, weekend fee, before 9am fee and the unlock door fee.
Arrived with an unmarked car too

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. They are professional scammers. This company is not a genuine locksmith business. They appear to be operating under false pretences, calling themselves Locksmith Now and using the number 03 7003 2933

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a trades business.

I engaged Locksmith Now to repair a lock and paid the technician in cash at the time of attendance. No receipt was provided. What should have been a straightforward job turned into an absolute nightmare.

Not only did the technician fail to fix the problem, but the lock is now in worse condition than it was before they touched it. I have been left with no choice but to pay another locksmith to come out and rectify the damage and complete the job properly.

The customer service was just as bad as the workmanship. When I contacted the office the following week to request a receipt for the cash payment, I spoke with Jo, who incorrectly claimed that the job had been cancelled. I explained that the job had not been cancelled, that the technician had attended, and that I had paid cash. Instead of investigating the issue or attempting to assist, she hung up on me.

I then provided my email address multiple times and repeatedly requested a receipt, yet no receipt was ever sent. My attempts to resolve the matter were simply ignored.

As a customer, I expect three very basic things: competent workmanship, proof of payment, and professional customer service. In my experience, Locksmith Now failed on all three.

I paid for a repair, received a worse outcome than I started with, could not obtain a receipt for my payment, was hung up on when trying to resolve the issue, and am now forced to spend additional money fixing their work.

I would not use this company again under any circumstances and would strongly caution others before handing over their money.

If I could give no stars I would. These people are scumbag scammers. They took advantage of my elderly mother when she was locked out due to a faulty door mechanism. Two men arrived in a vehicle with no signage. They provided a verbal quote to fix the door of around $500 which my mother approved, then produced a bill in excess of $1,200 when the job was finished. And next day still having trouble with the door. I have reported this company to Consumer Affairs Vic.

I locked myself out, they did come fast, however, they don't give you up front pricing as it states in the website I wish I would've read the reviews before I called. They cracked my door. Then after I asked him if they were gonna clean up and they said no even though they said they would. They are TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! When you tell them that they damage something they don't even contact you back.

SCAM DO NOT USE!!! Report them to ACCC, like many others on here. Whatever you do, please do not use these guys. They charged $984 for putting a wire under the door and pulling the handle down but somehow this was a tough complex lock... Took 2 minutes. He also never disclosed the full pricing until after he completed the service. The guy meet me at the door and was asking if I had used a locksmith before, I answered truthfully and said no. I now know this was just so he can gauge how much I knew and how much he could overcharge and fee stack. They take advantage of people in need. He showed me that my lock was in the top tier charge, where is said smart lock. It is a simple lock and given no tools were required to open it this clearly was a lie. EFPOS machine was convinietly not working and he wanted a bank transfer, he then stood in my house ( i am a young female on my own) charging the efpos machine. He did not offer to send a link for me to pay via card, even though the email I got sent with the recipt after had this option. I felt scared and uncomfortable and ended up paying the the bank transfer so he could just get out of my house. Invoice attached, funny they remove the naming convention for the tier they charge on the invoice. At time of paying he said random things and had number showing on his iphone calculator. He also never disclosed final price prior to starting service or provided % attached to labour fees and other things. AFTER he got the bank transfer he got me sign the invoce but only showed me the signature line. For you own safety please don't use these guys, especiallly if you are a women living on your own.

Charged me $852 for lock that took less than 20 min. There are so many hidden fees. Please report to consumer affairs

Accidentally locked myself out of my apartment in the afternoon on a weekday. Asked over the phone for a quote, said that I wouldn’t be able to get one until the locksmith had arrived and seen the lock themselves. Upon arrival, I finally asked and was quoted OVER $600. I then mentioned I was not paying that much and would rather pay some sort of call out fee, but NOT the job. I was then told it was a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellation? For what? I’m absolutely gutted that I trusted this company. If you are ever locked out please do not fall for it! My anxiousness unfortunately let to a scam and a loss of hundreds of dollars.

Excessive charges. $800 for a new flyscreen handle. Unprofessional. Will report to consumer affairs

Call, wouldn't give me a quote. Cancelled. The driver who was 5 minutes into the trip say I had to pay the callout fee. Starting being aggressive. Called him out on this bullshit. Do not use. Absolutely unprofessional clowns.

Absolutely shocking experience with Locksmith Now — by far one of the most unprofessional services I’ve dealt with.

From the beginning, the pricing was completely misleading. I was given an initial quote, but by the end of the job, nearly $2,000 in additional charges had been added without any clear explanation or proper approval. These extra fees were not transparently communicated upfront and only appeared once the work was already done, leaving no real option to question or decline them. It felt extremely deceptive and poorly handled. The company that completed the job was Omnix Solutions PTY LTD

What makes this worse is that the job itself was not even completed to an acceptable standard. Not only was the work left unfinished, but additional damage was caused to my door during the process — something I now have to deal with separately.

Trying to resolve the issue has been even more frustrating than the service itself. There appears to be no proper customer resolution process in place. I’ve been repeatedly told that someone would call me back, yet no one ever follows through. Emails go unanswered, and there is a complete lack of accountability from the company.

The communication from management was just as disappointing — dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to take any responsibility for what happened. At no point did I feel like my concerns were being taken seriously or that there was any genuine effort to fix the situation.

Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism across the board — from pricing transparency to workmanship, communication, and after-service support.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value clear pricing, quality work, and basic customer service.

Amazing service! Jack the technician arrived very quickly and got me back inside my house in less than 15 minutes. The price was fair at $450 and everything was done professionally. Highly recommend!

Scammers! I got a quote of 65 dollars, they showed up to do the service, broke my lovk andafter said they would charge me 780 dollars. WARNING DO NOT USE.

Do not use. Exorbitant pricing. I was charged $700+ for a simple door lock fix. I have reached back out to the company for the opportunity to remedy the charge.

I’m new to Australia and didn’t know about the call-out fee. I called the company and asked about their services and the cost to unlock my door. They said the technician would explain everything, but they never mentioned the call-out fee.

The technician arrived and after removing part of the lock, he said it was a restricted lock and that I would have to pay over 700 dollars. I declined the service, but he insisted I pay a 200-dollar call-out fee. He was demanding and rude, even calling me “a liar” and saying “you understand nothing.”

I told him no one mentioned the call-out fee over the phone, and since I’m not Australian, I didn’t know about it.

In the end, he charged me 280 dollars just to unlock the door.

They were not clear over the phone about their service fee. Also, the condescending and impolite attitude of their worker was the worst I have ever experienced.

I definitely do not recommend this company.

I feel robbed, they are not honest with the pricing, their call out fee is cheap, but once you accept to move forward with the job they charged me a ridiculous amount of money for a task that took them 5 minutes to complete.

Avoid at all costs. Website is deceiving. Not honest and not budget friendly! Paid $1.100 for 2 locks. Daylight robbery. No itemised invoice either.

I accidentally locked myself outside without keys, purse, glasses, and phone. When I asked for help from my next-door neighbour, these guys' website came up first, promising quick attendance, cheapest rates, and 'honest pricing with no surprises.' Every point turned out to be a total lie.
After a lengthy wait of at least 90 minutes, the locksmith who arrived quoted me $150 for the callout fee alone. Friendly and upbeat at first, he quickly turned nasty and inflexible when I asked him to negotiate on the price. Overall I was slugged $580 (apparently including surcharge), just to get my door opened which took him ten minutes. It left me feeling demoralised, cheated, and severely ripped off. And what's more, he didn't send me a copy of the receipt as he promised.
I would avoid these sharks at all costs. They obviously prey on us at our most vulnerable moments and make a killing. Sadly, I guess they'll keep on doing so, as few of us check review sites before the emergency occurs.

Despite having a flash website mentioning honest pricing they refused to give a rough quote over the phone or even an hourly rate and then upon arrival quoted $500. Ended up negotiating to $400 without know how complex the work was but we needed to be done. Job was done in less than 15 minutes. Not honest pricing. Dishonest pricing would be a better description. When I looked for somewhere to leave a Google Review turns out the website has it turned off. Wonder why.
