The website says 39 pounds, you ring them they quote you 50 pound, the come to your house and charge you 90 just to knock on the door and say they can't do anything, but for 200 pound excluding the call out he will brake my door for me, at which point I felt like they were making up numbers as they went along, if you want to use them, do it at your own risk.
I get there is a call out fee which is fine, I just was not expecting to pay nearly double what I was told.

They did not even ask what kind of door I had, so it just feels like they are trying to take advantage of people in need.

Booked an engineer to unlock one external door. Told that it was simple job costing no more than £50 ( their add states with you in 10-20 minutes)
Nearly 1 1/2 hours he rolls up.

Then says that he cannot open the door and that the fee is £175?
He then states that it is made up of £45 call out fee ( but the site says no call out fee) and the rest is to drill out the lock and replace it( again their site states locks from £25).
Is it because he saw a 76 year old couple and decided to cash in?

He then left, I called his office to be told it is not a call-out fee but a cancellation fee, not surprising when the price tripled. I argued about this and he said that will call the police!

While this company solved my problem (I was locked out of my house) they did not carry out a professional job and they charged over £450 for drilling out the old lock and replacing it. Note that they did not actually replace the full Yale unit, only the interior mechanism with a sub-standard variant.

I have since found out that there would usually be other, less dramatic or expensive options. Due to the sub-par workmanship I resorted to having a new lock fitted.

Note that their website (lock-master.co.uk) looks fine at first glance but you will see that it is simply one page of simplistic info.

Take a lesson from my mistake......even if you're stressed about being locked out as I was, don't rush into picking the first company that comes up in an internet search.

Found this company on a google search. Their website says they have 1,163 reviews on trust pilot rated Excellent 4.8 however now that I search for them on trust pilot, I am the first person to review them. Seems odd and can’t help but wonder why their website says they have lots of reviews when they have none
