Amazing game with gorgeous art, but terrible community
Amazing game with gorgeous art, but the community is just not it. I wished I could give this game a higher rating. But for a game that's heavy on player interactions, the community truly pushes the game back.
Currency is hard to obtain, item prices are unfair. Event though this game seems to be vehemently against bullying and harassment, if it's seemingly innocuous or silent enough, the mods will say that it doesn't go against the rules.
There are some really nice people in the community, but the unfairness of the people and player made economy (it's ALWAYS the player made economy) makes this game not worth it.
For example, it's hard to sell your items in a fair price without players flocking like vulture just to see if your listing will sell. 30 days will pass and you'll still be broke. Sometimes you'll make a listing with rare and expensive items, then a bitter user will offer a singular pathetically common item out of spite. But this doesn't go against the rules of respecting other players, since, apparently, "worth depends on the perception of the user". So you can be told that your listing is practically worthless by a bitter user. For a game with a heavy emphasis on player made economies, it doesn't treat said economy with much seriousness.
Or someone might leave a tame, meanspirited comment on your profile then reach out to you through an alternate account. Guess what, the initial comment doesn't break any rules, so this weird and mischievous behavior isn't apprehended, even though it clearly goes against the rules of respecting other users.
Bonus points for lack of artificial scarcity, though. Instead of items permanently disappearing after some time of existence like im most multiplayer games with player made economies, Lioden's items are seasonal. If you missed an event, you'll be able to participate next year.
This game is only worth it for the beautiful art & characters. Just use the Lion Wardrobe to create your lions. Doing anything else is a waste of time. What's the point of having a ton of rare items if you can't profit because people will only buy at absurdly low prices? Lol
