Excellent book publisher. No need to install VitalSource to read a PDF eBook, which makes everything much simpler. The best part is that the download link never expires, so you can always access your book again later.

Don't tend to write reviews but my experience was absolutely not ok. I purchased two books that were supposed to ship within 3-5 days, then received an email saying 5-7 days for printing, 5-7 days for shipping. Ok fine. 3 weeks later, no follow up or shipping notification so I reached back out. They have to reach out to their "specialist" team to figure it out. Almost a full week later still no update so followed up again. Was told they are still working with the specialists to figure it out and will email me when they hear back. Another week goes by, no update. I never actually received an update from customer service. I was notified automatically that my books just shipped after an entire month, and then the next day there was an unauthorized charge on my credit card to Springer for a purchase I did not make. So on top of this bad experience with customer service, I now have to get a new credit card because they don't protect your billing information at all. I really like Springers publications, they have great authors that do great work, it's just sad that the rest of the company is a total joke so I'll be avoiding at all costs in the future.

I ordered two hardcover books on Springer and although they took some time to ship, it was pretty fast afterwards. I made two orders, one a week after another, and both books arrived in about a month, which is very good considering they don't charge for delivery. The quality of the hardcover and the printing is also great. I would really recommend this site if you want to find books on more obscure topics. Will definitely be purchasing more.

The entire branch responsible for editorial and especially whoever decided to outsource to Straive Inc should be fired without notice.
I have never in my entire career experiences such bad service in an editorial process.
Journals that do editorial work UNPAID do better work than SN or Straive.
It's a complete disgrace to the field.

The website is good, easy to navigate, and they deliver all around the country. There are some great deals if you follow regularly

No updates after ordering a book. No means of contacting 'customer service' other than email which goes unanswered. Not impressed at all. Non existent communication and despite my requests no response other than automated emails from email accounts that are 'not monitored'. Rubbish.

Springer hat ein grundsätzliches Problem damit Studenten sich anmelden zu lassen. Meine Kommilitonen und ich werden nicht angemeldet wenn wir uns mit unserer Institution anmelden. daher können wir springer gar nicht nutzen. Traurig.

Low level publisher. Does not have the level to understand manuscripts without leaning on peer reviews. Very low level staff. Purely passer-on to peer reviewers. Most over-rated publisher in the world.

I write this as an author of a book.

My book was originally published by a company in Birmingham UK. They went bust and without me knowing APress/Springer Nature got hold of the book and published it without my consent and without payment a single penny of royalties.

I only found out by accident many years after when I saw my book, which I assumed was no longer available, appear on the Amazon site.

I would warn future authors to be very aware that this company may well not pay your for your work.

I have spoken to them and at first they were co-operative and looked like they would pay back and future royalties. But the last few months have ignored all emails and no payment has ever been received.

But apart from learning goals, it is overall useful to broaden knowledge..FOr example recentyl I found a source on astrophysics, and read about possible white pulsars, and somewhere in the 70-s the sound, actually frequency vibration was detected, though it was thought to be of alien nature, soon it was pointed it came from pulsar

Heard of them from my friend, he said the prices here are competitive and even cheap at some extent. Didn’t understand how the price can go lower than the market, but now it makes sense. They have big campaigns that are kinda regular and lets to save a lot of money from them. I ordered with big size recently, and glad the delivery didn’t take ages to come. They said the time, they delivered

Impossible to contact the journal...captcha is blocking all correspondance. No on-line chat.

I easily managed a search with the different filters. I arrived at a suitable book in a reasonable amount of time. From the book's webpage, I gained enough details. I had little trouble with selecting the right book.

Emails had helpful information which was easy to understand. I had no trouble with the website or the order. Overall experience was excellent and comparable to other publishers.

They're running a sort of Sham, dishonest, lies-based, manipulative, unprofessional scheme

Here, I'll try to summarize this farce (screens attached)
*At first they lure you by saying congrats, you've passed the review stage now and you need to edit the paper as requested
*Then they keep wasting your time by asking for dozens of pretty much meaningless from edits
*They say they're "multidisciplinary" while they're not, they don't have enough or probably any engineering reviewers
*This go on and on for months
*ONE YEAR later, they say they've invited a reviewer
* More than one year later I inquired about the paper
* Less than 2 days later the engineering paper got trashed by an earth science woman who's got nothing to do with the field.

Ich benutzte Springer schon seit mehreren Jahren für mein Studium und ich muss sagen, dass mit der neuen Oberfläche Springer stark an Benutzerfreundlichkeit verloren hat. Am traurigsten ist, dass man nicht mehr nach "Full Access" sortieren kann, sondern nur noch nach "Open Access". Somit muss man immer das gesamte Sortiment durchsuchen, bevor man etwas findet zudem man "freien" Zugang hat. Fürs Studium hat Springer zumindest stark an Benutzerfreundlichkeit verloren.

The issue of locating the right source of information that can be called true academic and credible, is quite a challenging task to complete, especially when you`re a university student and know only one way of looking for info, googling it. This service was quite expensive, but since I had access from my institution, I tried it a couple of times and there are benefits for real, like a well-built searching engine and good collection of financial articles on research. But, pay this money for access, I think it`s not good for those, who aren`t granted with access from their study places.

The experience of publishing with Palgrave has been laughably bad. They failed to keep my records up to date in multiple way, including my email address (leading to multiple key messages being sent to the wrong email address), my address (leading to complimentary copies being sent to the wrong address), and (embarrassingly) the repeated wrong listing of my university affiliation.
Even more problematically, the publishers somehow managed to leave the whole concluding chapter (yes a whole chapter) out of the proofs (despite this chapter being listed in the contents page.
The proofing was consistently poor, resulting in significant errors in the text.
It has been a ridiculous and embarrassing process to be part of. Never publish with Palgrave.

It should be also part of my second purchase from springer, but I ended up splitting the order by mistake. As I said before, I had a very good experience buying from Springer. The book arrived in excellent conditions, much better than other publishers that I bought books from before. Also, I did not have to pay shipping nor taxes, and this made me very happy. I got a discount on the hardback, and I am very happy with my purchase.
