My wife and I had a telephone consultation with an advisor. We were a same sex couple and the advisor appeared ok with that. However, at the end of the conversation, he forgot to end the call. He then said " Oh my god, my name is N***** and my wife's name is L******, that's just what I need 6 o'clock on a Thursday night"
Absolute homophobia and bigotry, I emailed the company to report him immediately but have not had any contact from them. Therefore I am deducing they share his views and endorse his hateful views. Avoid at all costs

Not usually one to post reviews at all, but just had to in this case because of the exceptional service I received from Richard Preece!

As a first time buyer I was very unaware of the whole house buying process, but Rich made it very straight forward and easy, filling in all of the gaps in my knowledge, and definitely making me aware of so many things that I hadn't even considered.

Was a tricky purchase due to some serious issues found during the survey and because of COVID, so there was a lot of back and forth, but Rich helped navigate the whole process really smoothly. He was especially helpful and friendly and quick to respond to any queries I had and just generally kept me in the loop on the whole process. Made what should have been a very stressful process very easy, and got me a fantastic deal on a mortgage. Never felt pressured at all to make any particular decisions, just given all the general facts and figures and then allowed to make up my own mind on what I'd like to do.

Really cannot recommend enough, particularly Richard Preece, and will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family (in fact already have!)

Will for sure be using their services again in the future!

I am an Occupational Therapist with 28 years experience having worked for our lovely NHS until recently when I had to take early medical retirement following cancer and brain tumour. My earnings were reduced by 75% and I decided to invest the lump sum I received from NHS Pensions to boost my income. So I called Lighthouse mps and spoke with two individual, one male and one female, advisors first about investment in shares and bonds and then buy to let property. Both “advisors” were initially extremely friendly but after speaking to each one of them I decided not to proceed. They became very rude and aggressive as all they wanted was that I use their service regardless. When I said to the female advisor that I will get quotes from two mortgage advisors and then use the best one, she became furious and said in this Country we only use one advisor as otherwise one advisor’s work will be wasted,which sounded a bit anti-immigrant to me. I said to her that I have learnt in this Country to always get quotes from 2-3 advisors before deciding. On another note just look at the NHS workers as without people like me our lovely NHS wouldn’t cope. How can you be so ruthless and why???

I had a tricky situation because the banks had turned me down for a mortgage due to me being in the merchant navy (unusual employment situation). I got to Lighthouse MPS as a mortgage broker through my union, but they are open to anyone. They helped me all the way through, and got me a good rate. It may depend on the personal adviser you get. The one who worked with me was called Gareth Maysmor and was really helpful all the way through and even worked through weekends to help speed things up. I would recommend them to anyone struggling to get the mortgage they want.
