The seller
The seller, the vendor who owns this company Light Aircraft Sales, renaged on a verbal agreement to ensure the Tacho be repaired as part of the sale. Once the vendor received the full funds for the purchase, he refused to make the necssary repairs while also insulting me via numerous text messages about my unrealistic expectation.

Nicholas Christie here, the owner of Light Aircraft Sales. I'm delighted to have the opportunity to respond to your message, as it provides an opportunity for me to clarify with those reading, what actually transpired in this case.
1. I arranged at my cost, to have a Tech 013 Condition Report completed on a tight timeframe for you to come to inspect the aircraft. The inspection was for you to determine if you wished to proceed with the purchase.
2. Outside of any agreement to purchase, I arranged, at my cost, to have you collected in my car from Melbourne airport by a colleague. You were driven 1.25 hours to Tyabb Airport.
3. Outside of any agreement to purchase, I arranged, at my cost, to have you complete dual competency training in the aircraft. I arranged to have added to my insurance, the Pilot In Command for that training. That flight was conducted to provide you an opportunity to test fly the aircraft and gain competence in it.
4. Despite my EXPLICIT instructions to you, to the contrary, and without my approval (and without insurance) you flew my aircraft SOLO! This was reckless and placed me at great risk! I was unaware until late that evening when my colleague informed me (after you had purchased the aircraft). This is unacceptable.
5. You paid for the aircraft at around 6.15pm AEST, after being with it and flying it since 3pm that afternoon.
6. Despite knowing about a faulty RPM readout, you failed to mention it to me until 6pm AEST. In response, to assist you, I promised to have [redacted name] 'look at it', because I knew that you planned to fly away the next morning.
Importantly, you did NOT make this a condition of sale, and I did not promise to have it repaired. I sent you confirmation text stating that:
'I have asked that [redacted name] does everything in his power / expertise this evening, at my cost, to attempt to repair the RPM'.
There was no guarantee or warranty in this text statement. To the contrary, it was a statement that confirmed I would simply do my best, at my cost. There was no verbal promise that contradicted my text. If there was, you would have raised it at the time. You did not.
7. That evening, at my cost, I arranged to have you driven to your hotel, in my car.
8. While you were in your hotel, at approx. 8pm AEST I confirmed that while a part had been replaced, the RPM was not reading correctly. The engineer stayed until 8pm trying to fix the issue, at my cost.
9. To that text, you responded that you would fly it home, have it fixed and that I would be sent an invoice! This was not acceptable to me. It remains unacceptable, because it was never agreed prior, or after your purchase of the aircraft.
10. When I indicated same, you 'threatened' legal repercussions (or intimated that you solicitor insists that I refund your money for the aircraft), and then later accused me of a lack of 'integrity'.
11. You flew the aircraft and ADSB-out records that you have flown it multiple times since you purchased it.
Perhaps, Mr Sagnelli, instead of making wild accusations, you might reconsider the fact that, by nature and profession, I am very careful in what I say, and promise. Being imprecise with language, making false representations or making promises that I cannot keep can have the consequence that people like you, will make allegations as you have. If I was imprecise or made such promises, I would have no issue with your protestations.
But sadly, people like you will try to make allegations, despite my care, diligence and attention. This, unfortunately, is out of my control.
I trust that you enjoy the aircraft, as you should. After all you did say that it was 'a great buy', that it represented 'great value' and was worth everything that you paid for it.
Best Broker in Australia
I literally could not have sold my aircraft without Nicholas. I was forced to leave the country and he went out of his way to help me. He didn't try to take advantage of my situation and proved to be of good character. He was also extremely useful. Likely the best broker in Australia.

Great communication, Nicholas was easy to deal with and the aircraft exceeded my expectations. We trusted and had confidence in the deal and the aircraft, so much so that we flew it from Tindal near Darwin to Devonport Tasmania, without it missing a beat. Light aircraft sales facilitated the process professionally and with ease. The website is great but zooming could be made easier. You can do it by zooming the text then scrolling up to reveal the zoomed pictures on iPhone anyway. They have now fixed the zoom in thing as we speak . I highly recommend using Light Aircraft Sales.
