Perspective of life and marriage - i got my bestie who is to marry to attend the course and she called me up right after to tell me that this was a reality check for her! so many things to talk and iron out with your spouse to be ! so many things to build and understand, how does one's identity evolve and change before and with marriage!
So many fundamentals of life that we ignore !
The yoga psychology take on gender helped me digest and accept so many long standing questions i had about gender and its metamorphisis in todays gen; strengthened my belief in the vast and rich understanding of the Rishis the scientists of yore and their intellectual prowess!

I'm neither against marriage nor supportive since my early age. I use to respect both married and unmarried life choices. I haven't been aware or thought how the family model in our culture has so much of influence and blissful life. Shankar ji has put forth all the doors open to know how a married life changes one individual and environment which intern lead to change in community and always getting to be a better human at the end of the day. I am thankful for all your efforts and MILE giving needful education on family life and marriage in such a technological and physical world.

We live in a society today, where we do not possess clarity, know why we want to pursue any venture - business, education, investments etc. We do not consider what are the stakes. The situation is no different when it comes to marriage. We treat marriage like any other social, familial obligation. This coupled with the declining value systems leads to several broken marriages. This in turn affects the root of Indian culture, society - the family system. Shankarji through his wit and smile puts this point across beautifully. In one of the modules, he emphasizes on the purpose of marriage being to give good citizens to the society. He shares several insights and aspects - self or individual, intellectual, emotional, familial, social, cultural, rational to support this paradigm. Many of these insights are not unheard of. Yet we have forgotten how some of these go a long way in strengthening the system of marriage. It is a primer course for everyone, more so for the youth who will view marriage and it's fundamental principles from a refreshing perspective. Something that would help them prepare and make an informed decision about one of the most important stages of their life.
