I really don't know what to think! Seems like a good built scam, too many things don't fall in the right place and still I dream about having a leica M6!

The opportunity to own a Leica camera is beyond the dreams of many keen photographers, but the chance to buy a ticket and win a camera of your dreams is now possible.
I won a Leica M6 which is a 35mm film camera. Not wanting the fuss of processing film I opted for the cash equivalent which was paid very promptly direct into my bank account. I intend to put this towards my dream Leica Q3 43 as my everyday carry.
Communication has always been very efficient I was kept totally informed during the whole process. Can’t recommend enough.

Leica hunter competitions.com contacted trustpilot twice regarding my review.
Today trustpilot sent me an email on behalf of them:
"You reviewed Leica Hunter Competitions, who believe your review actually belongs to another business."
Rather than admit I was correct publicly, they have now changed the rules.
So please look at archived links on the way back machine at web dot archive dot org
to see rule 3.6 before they made changes.
So, why not admit it instead of hiding it?
At least the rules seem fair now, however this does leave them legally responsible for past sales under old rules for those wanting to take action.
In addition, even in the new rules there is no independent accounting organization or any independent outside oversight of these " competitions". So enter at your own risk.
They should declare when the rules changed, issue refunds to previous clients and have an independent accounting firm look at past and present drawings.
Then issue an official honest and open press release with a full explanation rather than trying to hide and be dishonest.

Anybody notice this in the rules?

"3.6 The total number of entries to the competitions does include the complimentary tickets awarded to influencers and promotional staff, Leica Hunter Competitions will never extend the total tickets shown on the website."

Is this legal? It is most certainly not transparent as it misleads the buyer into believing they have better odds as the site does not show the number of complimentary tickets included in the drawing, only tickets sold.

So when emails are pushed encouraging people to enter based on low ticket sales, there is no way to determine the actual total number of tickets and odds as complimentary tickets.

Even worse is these complimentary tickets are given to influencers and promotional staff. Either could be employees or have a vested financial interest in this operation.

Any lawyers out there?

Misleading advertisements, no contact after 11 emails sent asking basic questions on eligibility. I have seen recent drawing prize change after the contest was already started.

I got a runner up prize. Wish it was the Leica. Company seems great. Emailed me straight away with voucher and they have a great selection of cameras on offer. Only company out there that does it too. Totally recommend.

I've entered four different drawings and never once found out if the drawing took place or who won if it did. And as far as I can tell, there's no place on their website where you can get this information. I play because I dearly wish I owned a Leica, but if the company is not more forthcoming than it has been about drawings and winners, I can't know that this entire thing is legitimate.

Your buying a chance nothing else

Feels like a scam. You buy your tickets, then… nothing. No emails to remind you about the live draw or how to see it, no emails to tell you who won it. Nothing. Some communications would go a long way towards making this feel legitimate.
