Lack of accountability and extreme racism
I have been experiencing racism fro the Dageham office for years, but the recent case has left my children and feeling unsafe, unwanted, harrassed, bullied and traumatised. The lack of respect is evident. The incompetence of the staff staring you in the face and the lack of accountability blows my mind. I intend to ensure i get my justice the staff need to be replaced. If i could give ot a negative figure, i would because they do not deserve a 1 star.

This is the worst council in London, they only give priority to white people, council house bidding corruption for example many more

i understand that times are changing but if the online portal is crap then its not fit for purpose i want to spend circa £850 but although i have completed 83%of the application and awaiting a simple email nothing this is ridiculous
Only care about money!
3 PCNs for a no right turn which I unfortunately missed, paid the first fine and pleaded the other 2 were written off as they were all sent 2 weeks later and didn't give me enough time to adjust my driving behavior. Informed them if I had to pay all 3 fines for the same offense I'll be left with no choice to choose between food in the house or paying these fines totaling to £240. They had no sympathy what do ever and only cared about getting there money off me leaving me to struggle to put food on the table for a month.
Nasty people
Horrible council they have a work culture that think it’s acceptable to abuse their job roles by doing nothing. Their management is the same constantly cutting corners, never want to do repairs or replace broken things they broke they are cheap and dishonest people. All my walks are blown in my home. It’s cold and you can hear every noise from outside and from the Neigbours. The walls were breaking off and they told me just to fill the walls myself. Each time I have a council person attended they tell me how the council is cutting corners and they can’t be bothered to pay for certain works to take place.
Thor bin collection services are a joke each week your bin is taken and never bought back as the bin men are lazy to return bins back to boundary m. This week the bin men walked places my home and couldn’t be bothered to take my bin and empty it. I even called then on the cctv but they still walked off. I have a small bin which is full up which means I have no where to put my rubbish for 7 more days.
This council bullies and harrasses tenants it is constantly the same each week. I have logged it as a complaint and they do nothing but act like they have spoken to the bin men.
I think sally need to actually do something instead of pretending as this is becoming a joke I don’t have time for nasty grown men to be acting like children

Ongoing delays and lack of communication over emergency door repair
My front door was damaged due to a forced entry due to previous tennant dying, leaving my property insecure. The repair was supposedly raised on 22 April 2025, but I was not informed until June that it hadn’t even been authorised due to internal budget issues and staff leave. It’s now August, and I still don’t have a compliant fire-rated replacement door.
I’ve had to chase repeatedly for updates. The temporary door they fitted is not FD30 compliant and has no certification, yet I’m expected to rely on it for months. This is unacceptable, especially as I’m a vulnerable tenant and this situation involves a crime reference number.
The lack of urgency, poor communication, and disregard for tenant safety has been appalling. I’ve now had to escalate a formal complaint just to get basic answers.
A very poor Council
After six months since acceptance of an offer to Right to Buy we still await legal documentation. They do not answer emails and do not answer the phone. Reason given they are very busy!
The truth is they have just three council Officers and one Solicitor working on Right to Buy requirements.

Neglect of Barbara Elliott
I’m crying writing this post & I know I am putting my heart on my sleeve & praying somebody knows something I can do to help my sister. I can’t sit back & wait till my sister ends up dead!
The care system are failing her daily from over 2yrs ago my sister fell into deep grief as she suddenly lost her eldest son which has devastated her.
We as sisters have tried to get her grief councillors on many occlusions but he her husband & her Selfish daughter have cancelled on more then one occasion they won’t, don’t want her to get well.
She’s existing daily they are feeding her meds she should not be on diabetic meds & she’s not diabetic she’s not being fed the right meals cause the thickos can’t cook & don’t know what decent food is.
I am asking is there anyone I can contact regarding her daily safety? I am at my wits end every night I cry for her cause I know she’s not gonna live long if i/we don’t do something.
She lives in Dagenham but the care team there DO NOT care! They just tick boxes when they visit cause she’s being fed & watered as to speak
As he husband is her next of kin we cannot do anything. He has all the power. They are claiming so many benefits for my sister & one of her daughters has decided to book herself a holiday out of this money! Such a selfish cow
I’m not Allowed to go to the house to see my sister as they know I’ll swing for them big time.

Council is sending me a penalty with out providing evidence that I have been alleged to committing a offence whilst driving causing litter in March but they fail to send me evidence and now started court proceedings and excess fines. The system is really unfair and unlawful

Would of gave 1 star if it let me, lived in a house for over 30 years with serious black mould problems in every room. I've not had a light switch in bathroom for over 5 years due to water pouring through wall every time it rains. They finally agreed after me going to ombudsman to get a independent damp expert to look at house who found it needed insulating from outside. This was after over 30 years of council saying it was our fault. Since then still nothing. They don't care about the property we have lost due to damage caused by the black mould. All they care about is raising rents and council tax to line their pockets. Absolutely a council that needs to be looked at as in this day and age people should not have to live like this.
Extremely Poor Service, Completely Ignored by Reside Team
I'm incredibly disappointed with the service from Reside WSQ Barking & Dagenham. If you are experiencing any housing issues and try to contact the Reside team or your housing officer via email, don’t expect a reply ever.
I’ve sent multiple emails over a long period regarding a serious issue, and I haven’t received a single response. It’s clear that communication and accountability are not priorities for this organisation. Even when I escalated the matter to a housing officer directly, I was still ignored.
This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when people rely on Reside for safe and secure housing. It feels like once you move in, they wash their hands of any responsibility.

My child is waiting to hear back from admission. They have been missed 4 month of school already, but admission keeps ignoring us, even their colleagues too. I thought since they are 5 they must be in school but the council doesn’t care but if I they them out in school time I get a fine. The council is the worst of all.

Had the pleasure of visiting the refuse Centre in Frizland road Dagenham 17/02/2025.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the generous allowance of 12 visits per year, one whole visit per month! However will I cope with such an abundance of opportunities to visit in my van?.
Your boundless generosity is truly inspiring.
It’s also truly heartwarming to know that I am being treated to an extra layer of restrictions simply because I dare to own a van. It’s a refreshing take on inclusivity where everyone is welcome, as long as they don’t have the audacity to drive a practical vehicle. What a wonderful way to ensure that anyone who dares to be self-sufficient is swiftly reminded of their place!
I must say, the level of control being exercised here is truly impressive it’s almost like living in a police state! The experience of being stopped at the gate, having my details taken and checked, and then booked in, really adds to the atmosphere. It’s a truly immersive experience one that gives me a newfound appreciation for what it must be like living under a regime that thrives on control. I half expect to be issued a permit or perhaps even be escorted to my designated location, just to ensure I don’t step out of line.
I can only imagine the deep, strategic thought that went into this policy. Was a desire to add a bit of excitement to my planning? A thrilling challenge, like a scavenger hunt where the prize is simply being allowed to park? Or perhaps it’s a clever scheme to ensure van owners remain in a constant state of gratitude for being permitted to exist at all?
Either way, I’m absolutely delighted by this development. I do hope this same level of scrutiny is being applied to all other vehicles with equal enthusiasm because fairness and consistency must be at the heart of such an inspired policy, surely?.
What a "rubbish" country to live in! It’s truly inspiring to see how everyday freedoms are being chipped away, piece by piece. I can only wonder what exciting new restrictions await us in the future, perhaps a booking system to determine what day and time we are allowed to leave the house and return.
Thank you once again ELWA your tireless efforts to keep life interesting. I shall cherish my limited visits and ensure I make each one as memorable as possible.
How the council let people die
This is the worst council in London they leave a seriously  disabled person in the cold with out heating and hot water because of there boiler breaking down and then tell the parents they have to wait up to 8hours before a emergency gas fitter can come out no wander old people and disabled people die disgusting way to treat any tenant and in the mean time all the bosses get pay rises and you pay rent for this I will be taking this further cos this has to change
Worst council service
Worst council service. Very careful. They don't send pcn later send charge certificate with triple fine. I was victimised. No pcn received but had to pay £195 with no formal representation right. It was pathetic experience.
Fraudsters
They are scammers. The town hall filled with incompetent staff wasting vast amount of tax payers money!
Their service charge accounting run by their leasehold department and “in-house” housing department, MyPlace is based on fraudulent accounting tricks basically transferring payments internally within departments without any evidence of any service actually being done!
Still waiting for LB Barking and…
Still waiting for LB Barking and Dagenham to respond to an application for council tax exemption. Since sending them the forms by special signed for delivery they have taken another 2 council tax payments. She is now in a care home, they have been informed. She will likely die befire we get dealt with.
