Long ago (end 2012), well before the free flow of channel migrants, I was working abroad but my children holding uk passports needed to be resident and attend school here. Their mother needed a visa which at the time wasn’t available, it became available through EU legislation as ‘sole carer for the children’; yes UK Immigration Law was as unhelpful then as it has proved to be subsequently for many who seek legal entry.

We met our lawyer, Irene, who took charge of our case and whilst it took the Home office ten months to reach a decision, we had the assurance from Irene that all would work through.

It did; subsequent change of circumstance necessitated change of visa for my wife who after being in uk some 4 years was then issued with a 5 year residency route ( renewed after 2&1/2years).

So last year she obtained indefinite leave to remain and this year her application has just been approved as British Citizen; formal ceremony to complete.

Throughout this entire period we have been fortunate to be supported by Irene who provided first class support, direction and submissions to meet all the deadlines.

Even after applications were approved she updated on anything we needed to be aware of.

Given the lack of feedback and difficulty to communicate about one’s case in the Home Office, knowing all relevant information had been submitted on time was tremendous.

The route to residency is arduous and to have been able to maintain communication with Irene has been fantastic.

Definitely recommend her to anyone seeking advice relating to immigration.
