My Experience Has Been Excellent
I have had a very different experience. I have an illness so I can't get outside and mow the lawn or take care of snow as it nearly kills me to try and do this. The lawn professional was awesome. Always on time excluding one time there was an issue and he let me know right away and returned to do the service as soon as he could. The lawn always looked great and I was complimented multiple times. I will be asking for his services again this coming summer. The snow service has been on time and I was also texted as soon as they thought they may activate the snow service twice so I was advised to skip if I did not want back-to-back service. Everytime I have skipped it has been honored. They shovel and salt the walkway. They plow out the driveway with just a dusting left. They have removed a significant amount of ice. The customer service has also been great. If someone was late or hadn't showed, which is a rarity, they would send me someone right away, even if it was short notice or later in the day. My only complaint is the app which has been alot wonky. The providers on the actual app get 5 star ratings for their work. I am sorry that so many people have had a different experience. All I can report is how I have been treated. This service has really saved my butt.
HOW CAN A COMPANY BE THIS BAD??
How can a snow removal service be this Abysmal? I have no idea how a company could be so incompetent or untimely. They don’t plow the driveway for days until after it’s done snowing, last time they came to the house 4 days after it snowed and realized the snow had hardened and they couldn’t do anything to clean it. Stupid and terrible service. Do not recommend, do not hire them for snow removal.

This company purports to provide quality lawn and snow removal service. I can't speak to the lawn service, but snow removal service is TERRIBLE. BTW, 93% of reviews for this company are 1 out of 5, so this is a universal opinion.
You can't rely on timely or high quality snow removal. In the end, one of their providers tried to defraud by claiming he had finished service, complete with a phony photo from a previous job. So I canceled my account.
Bottom line: they cannot be trusted to do timely or quality service - or even to be honest

I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up to have LawnGuru provide snow removal service. Although LG says you have a chance to SKIP a service because it's not necessary, immediately after it began snowing they activated a snow removal service which I was unable to cancel. While I was waiting for the 4-hour storm to finish to see whether a plowing was needed, I received word from a contractor that he was on his way to my house to perform the service. Within a few minutes, I directly texted the contractor to not bother coming out. How am I supposed to determine whether or not a service is needed until the storm ends?! As it turned out, only a little over 1 in of snow fell. It appears to me that customer service for LawnGuru is more interested in generating revenue than it is in satisfying customers. Don't see them lasting very long with this model. 😢😢

Service provider beware. They will not pay you for jobs that you have completed. Would give them a zero if possible.
Where has customer service gone?
Wow, just wow. I’ve had my father’s lawn taken care of using Lawn Guru for almost 6 months now, have spent I know over $1K with them for service and tips and today, I stopped their service. As my father’s house is having work done in the interior, I simply gave the lawn person my number as well as my sisters should we need to call to have the contractors move their vehicles so the lawn could be serviced. I guess I violated some terms of their service as I gave the provider my phone number. Like I have all day to constantly be checking their app. I wish I could copy and paste their response to my discontinuing their service after all this time and money spent, you would be appalled. They could care less that I canceled, basically told me bye bye and went about their day. Talk about service standards at companies going down the tubes these days, they exemplify this. You make your own decision as to who to use but be ready to be disappointed and shocked if you ever have to deal with their customer service people. Have a great day everyone!

I'm extremely disappointed with the subpar service provided by Lawn Guru for my mother's yard maintenance.
Despite being paid in full, their service providers, demonstrated negligence and disregard for her property.
*Damages and Issues:*
- Ran over two fruit trees, despite my mother having shown him where she had just planted them,they are now dead.
- Broke a glass stepping stone, showing reckless disregard for her belongings.
- Sent misleading photos of another house, falsely claiming completion.
- Failed to return for scheduled follow-up work.
*Poor Communication:*
- Misled my friend into paying for incomplete services.
- Lack of transparency and accountability.

The worst service I have ever experienced.
Liared to me that they used 40L of weed killer and it was charged on the invoice. Overcharged on lawndressing. They are liars, fraudsters and thieves. STAY AWAY IF NOT RUN. Pity I can't give -5.

This company is a joke. Don't waste your time with them. The customer service people are arrogant. The service providers accept the job and cancel it on the day of service. It happened multiple times. This company is going to go under soon. Pathetic people and service.

DO NOT USE THEM! If I could give them a negative 5 I would. First of all they keep charging my card and not cutting the lawn. The one time they did cut the grass it was the worst I had ever seen. Clumps of cut grass all over the yard. Inconsistent cut all the way around. Our neighborhood is nice fresh lawns except ours. It is embarassing!!

BUY A MOWER
BUY A MOWER! We've given them a year. They're never on time. They're not professional. They only have customer service reps to take your money and sign you up for service. They're of no help actually ensuring you get the service. My HOA is fining me because they were supposed to come the first week of the month. Since we've had the service they've only come on time twice. SAVE YOURSELF THE FINES! BUY YOUR OWN MOWER OR DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Lawn was a disaster
Lawn was a disaster! The blade was obviously crooked so the grass needed to be redone. Piles of clippings were everywhere. Clumps! Even in the garden, the bushes, the fire pit and the middle of the yard in various places. When I complained I received a $5 credit for future services. No thanks!

If I could, I would give a negative five!!! Like many of you, I experienced my yard being half cut, person not showing up when scheduled, and calling multiple times to customer service and having to select new service just to talk to you in human being. The grass cutters are inconsistent and customer service only tells you what you want to hear. Run away from this company and don't look back!

I had worked with them for 3 years each each year it became progressively worse - this last year they repeatedly withheld overgrowth payments and from my understanding still billed the customer—There was also a problem with my tips having a large percent taken out. AVOID AT ALL COST. THEY WILL OVER CHARGE THE PRICE A PROVIDER OFFERS BY 35%. Which on a 1000$ order is 350$. To the customer and then take part of the tip
They are the worst
They are the worst. They over promise and under deliver consistently. I had two lawn mowing by two different providers and both sucked. They left piles of cut grass and in some spots butchered the lawn. Those two were the only cuts I could get in 8 weeks of trying. Each week they would promise a provider who would ultimately not show up.
Fully a SCAM
I didn't check reviews before hiring-big mistake. Save yourself the trouble. MARK was supposed to come service our lawn, I confirmed with him when he was coming and everything. The man shows up, probably didn't even bother parking, takes a photo from the outside and cancels the service citing the reason as "gates locked," when clear as day both backyard gates were open. Doesn't knock doesn't get out to actually check doesn't even message just straight up cancels. AND theres not even a number you can call. Not a real company, fully a scam.
Brutal
Have had bi weekly mowing going for about 6 months now. Has been pretty horrible the whole time. The providers either come way after the scheduled date or only cut half the lawn. The app allows you to block providers and get a new one so you think service will improve, but they all do unsatisfactory jobs. Also there is no refunds which you learn after the fact and no customer service number. Only the ability to text through the app to a person or a bot, who knows. Just avoid this service. It’s incredible that it has been around this long with so many bad reviews. They do not care about the customer.
