Love Getting The Latest Deals Straight To My Inbox

I’ve been using the latestdeals.co.uk email service and I can honestly say it’s been excellent. The emails are thoughtfully curated with the latest and most relevant deals, making it easy to stay on top of great offers without constantly checking the site.

Tom's Deals.

Pros : Tom's Deals is an invaluable tool to keep customers updated with the latest online retailers' offers. I have successfully purchased some excellently priced goods as a direct result. Cons : A few of the deals look too good to be true. And they are! Beware of inadvertently signing up to a subscription as a result of purchasing a bargain. Summary : Highly Recommended, purchasing with caution. ps Tom's jokes sometimes hilarious, sometimes cringe worthy!!

Scammers

Scammers! Their codes don't work. They pretend to have discount codes for everything but it is just one of the million of "companies" (probably chaired by one person) who earn money when you click.

Hi Edna,

I'm sorry to hear you found non-working codes on Latest Deals.

Latest Deals is a community platform where members of the public share offers and discounts they've found with each other. Whilst this helps us unearth some real hidden gems, it does mean the codes aren't "live" (in the sense that they should be working when a member originally shares them, but they may later stop working). We rely on visitors to report codes as no longer working so that we can remove them from the site. We appreciate this can take time, which is why we reward people for reporting expired codes with points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards.

Latest Deals is co-ran by three people (me, Tom & Deepak) and a small team of people trying to keep everything running smoothly. We've always been very transparent about how Latest Deals makes money to continue operating (it's at the bottom of every page) and have, from the outset, tried to prioritise people saving money above Latest Deals earning money.

I hope that provides a bit more background about Latest Deals. I'm sorry again that you found non-working codes. We're always trying to improve our processes to remove broken codes as soon as possible.

Waste of time

I chose to delete my account as the only two posts I've made (over the past 4 months) have been deleted. One of my posts was for a monthly competition that was previously posted by other members without issue... And yes, I waited a month to post about the competition myself.
I always wondered why I only saw the same 4 people posting competitions, now I know why. They report and delete everyone else's posts.
Either way, most of the competitions are copied and re-posted from a different forum which has members that *actually* find the competitions.

Apologies for the delay in responding and I'm really sorry to hear about your experience on Latest Deals.

We have quite tight rules on sharing competitions to try and make the experience as good as possible for people looking for competitions to enter. For example, we try and make sure only one version of a competition is live so people don't accidentally enter a competition twice, potentially voiding their entry.

I understand that you have now deleted your account but, on the off chance that you changed your mind, please do share username with me so that I can look into the moderation decisions you've highlighted. We always try and apply any decisions fairly and openly but I'll hold my hands up that we do make mistakes. We're always happy for a decision to be reviewed by another team member and try and undo any mistakes and improve our processes for the future.
