Being embroiled in a dispute with my previous employer and knowing in myself that their practices were ethically questionable, I needed legal counsel. It was upon doing my research whereby I came across Landau Law. Whilst I found their website to be informative, professional, and easy to navigate, my trust and confidence in them stemmed from the initial case review with Philip. My case was then taken over by Sanya, who had my employer agree to a settlement virtually overnight. To provide context, my employer had previously dragged the whole process out of a number of months (to a point that ACAS early conciliation timings had elapsed).
Sanya not only secured extremely favourable terms for my settlement, but went as far to legally bind my employer into the changing of preferred wording to reflect the spirit of the agreement… It still amazes me to this day how one’s employer can so quickly go from being conceited and blasé to morally upstanding!

I had been subject to constant bullying and harassment by my new line manager that began to significantly impact on my health. It started when my line manager unreasonably expected me to return to office based work, after working from home through Covid. He knew I had child commitments, and he wasn’t asking everyone to return. It was clear I was being singled out, especially as my sales figures had been higher then pre-Covid levels. As a senior manager, I believed I was being discriminated. That’s when I got in contact with Landau Law, who seemed to have the best profile of employment lawyers. After initially sending my enquiry, I spoke with Philip Landau who was so sensitive and kind to my predicament, he put me instantly at ease. Philip personally handled the negotiation with my employer once I decided an exit was the only way forward to recover my sanity. Philip negotiated an extremely satisfactory settlement with my employer over a period of a few weeks and the outcome was nothing less than remarkable compared to where I was before I initially approached the firm. Isabelle then finalised the settlement documentation and the process was seamless. I would recommend Landau Law without any reservation. They were totally responsive and professional in every respect.

I don't usually write online reviews unless I am upset or angry but today I am here writing this one because we won and because Landau Law have been fantastic all the way. This isn't just a review to praise them and do my deed because I am feeling good about the outcome. I actually went through two other law firms first before I found Landau and boy am I glad I found them. I can speak with confidence when I say they were by far the best, fairest and most professional of the bunch I approached.

I had a very complex case with a former employer. I wish I could dish out all the juicy bits on here but I am of course unable to due to the very solid settlement agreement Landau Law drafted on my behalf. Anyway, the first lawyer I hired for my case was actually a great one and drafted a faultless grievance document for me but then attempted to force me into a very unfair payment arrangement (whereby she would get a very, very hefty sum if we win) so I was left with no choice but to look for another firm with better pricing. I then found a second law firm with great online reviews but just as I initiated the process of hiring them they actually tried to con me (e.g. by charging me £500 for one phone call for assessment of my case without so much as a notice etc). That was that, so I started looking around again for another firm. That's when I came across Landau Law. Their website was very clear and had lots of very useful information about similar cases to mine. I was also intrigued by the fact that they only represent employees and not employers. But by this time I was a bit desperate to find a decent firm so was approaching other firms as well. I wrote to Landau the details about my case and waited. On their website it states that they would only get back to you if they feel they are able to represent you and so I wasnt even sure I'd hear back. And voila - the very next day Philip Landau himself got in touch and we had a call. Let me tell you this: we spoke on the phone for approx 50 minutes and he shared his full assessment of my case with utter confidence and without attempting to charge me anything. I felt good about our conversation and so agreed to hire Landau Law on a pre-agreed fixed fee, which I deemed very fair pricing (compared to the pricing of other firms I also approached)

The case itself lasted for about 2 months since Landau took over, with a tricky employer that did not wish to negotiate. Philip was extremely professional and patient. I was actually the very impatient one - frankly a nervous wreck during those two months. He constantly reassured me and gave me very specific advice on how to proceed and I never questioned him once. He really knew what he was doing and was completely unfazed by any developments in my case. We ended up settling with great terms actually and there is really nothing, not one thing, I can fault about how the process was managed from beginning to end. Landau Law have become my go-to firm now. Having experienced the dark side of dealing with law firms when under pressure I can wholeheartedly recommend them to you and to everyone else I know. They are great, know what they are doing, very professional, their pricing is really fair and all their staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And hey, they won my complex case!

Landau Law handled an employment matter for me against a large city firm, they were excellent throughout the whole process, regular communication and easy to understand, they handled everything with the company on my behalf and with ACAS when they got involved. I can't recommend Landau Law enough; I contacted them with a fairly complex case, which had me facing a big corporate legal team and I was feeling fairly hopeless. I guess "lucky" is one of the words I'd describe my working career so far, lucky in so much as I've not needed to instruct a solicitor for any reason and I've been employed now for about thirteen years since graduation (wow, I'm getting old!). Back in mid December last year I found myself in a situation with my employer whereby I very much felt the need to seek impartial, professional legal advice. When I originally contacted Landau Law it was smack bang in the middle of the Christmas period and even though their company was on shutdown for their Christmas break, Philip Landau (the founding member himself!) got back to me to inform me they'd be in a position to help me out, incidentally the only one out of five companies I contacted during that period to actually bother even replying to me.

I was initially quite panicked by my work situation, having not been in any position quite like it before I was very concerned my job and therefore my career were at risk. After a relatively short period of time I'd sent off all of the documentation they needed and they quickly assured me that not only was my job secure, should I feel the need to, there were options that could result in a fairly healthy payout should I wish to pursue them.

I ended up dealing with three different members of staff at Landau Law, all three of which were professional but also a delight in dealing with. I have done some GCSE and A-Level maths and physics tutoring to family members as favours previously and I have found it a nightmare trying to convey concepts to them. Not only was everybody I dealt with at Landau fantastic at explaining the law behind my situation, they did so in a very non-condescending and friendly manner, ensuring I understood every aspect of the associated law or laws that were relevant for the aspect of the situation being dealt with.

As I started this review, I’ll finish it off by repeating that I have been lucky enough to not need to instruct an employment law solicitor up until very recently, but should I need to again, or should anyone be looking for one, I would recommend Landau Law without any hesitation whatsoever.
