HORRIBLE nameplate – completely unreadable and zero accountability
I ordered a $1,541 custom nameplate necklace from Lana Jewelry, and it is honestly horrible. The nameplate is so poorly designed that you cannot read the name at all. The letters are smashed together and fused in a way that makes it look like random vertical lines, not a name. It does not clearly spell the name that was ordered, which completely defeats the purpose of a custom nameplate.
What makes this unacceptable is that the website listing and personalization preview showed clean, readable lettering. There was no warning or disclosure that certain names would come out unreadable in the final product. Had that been disclosed, I would never have purchased it.
When I contacted Lana immediately and sent photos, they refused to take any accountability. They repeatedly hid behind their “final sale/custom” policy and would not acknowledge how bad the nameplate looks. They refused a refund and would only offer store credit, effectively forcing me to pick another item instead of standing behind their product.
This is a luxury-priced item, and the response from customer service was dismissive and rigid. A company that charges this much should stand behind its craftsmanship and be transparent when a design simply does not work. Lana Jewelry did neither.
I would strongly warn others not to order customized name pieces from this company unless you are willing to accept something that may be completely unreadable with no refund and no accountability.
