We are based just on the outskirts of Edinburgh and our caravan and motorhome showroom is open 7 days a week. If you are new to caravanning or motorhoming, then let us help you. Just purchased a new caravan from Knowepark Caravans - excellent service given throughout the process from selecting the best option for my husband and I through to picking it up on the agreed date. Julie, our sales person kept in touch with me providing great service throughout and Ian from the workshop gave us a comprehensive walk through of all the workings of the caravan. Would thoroughly recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a caravan or motorhome.

Just collected my new motorhome from Knowepark, they have been fantastic throughout the whole process, from valuing my old camper van through to selection of the new one, carrying out additions to it and having it ready on time. Poor Service
Went to Knowepark to get a habitation service on our year old Bailey Autograph. I was not impressed with the service. They reported my leisure battery was not being charged by the alternator. On the Autograph the alternator does not charge the leisure battery. The technician should have known this. There was a gap on the offside wheel arch skirt. Technician missed that. When I questioned this the Service Manager was defensive and waffled around the issue. No apology was offered. Be aware, I was wanting to establish a relationship with local Bailey dealer but they didn't tell me until afterwards that they do not do warranty work on vehicles they don't sell.
Not a great experience…
Not a great experience buying our first motorhome. Initially went to see two used vehicles and decided to buy the Chausson. Sadly the salesman did not seem to have any knowledge of what he was selling which is strange considering they sell new Chaussons! He had to keep going to ask the service department!
For example, we were told it wouldnt take an 11Kg gas bottle, then on handover we were told that it would…
I asked several times what my options were on different solar panels to be fitted, I got a price for one size so eventually gave up and went with the one they clearly wanted to fit!
They wouldnt move on price because they said they had to conduct the checks and make good anything that was wrong with the van so we expected our 6000 mile van to be in great condition when we collected it.
We were shown the van and discussed the bed situation, twin drop down and lower double made from the seats below and two sponge squares.
We discussed the manual winder needed for bed failure and was told it was in a blue bag with the manuals which was in the van.
The winder wasnt there and when I pointed this out I was told to use an allen key. One of the sponges for the lower bed was not there and all they did was ask the previous owner if they had it and told me that they said they hadnt had one…end of story which is a bit of a shock when you were expecting a 4 berth.
Worse yet on giving the van a proper clean (it was reasonably clean but not only did we find old tablets in some drawers we also found one seat back in the hab was covered in mould and the vinyl had perished as a result…how this could have been overlooked during the hab check puzzles me. (I have not seen a copy of the hab check but was told everything was fine) I asked them for comment but have not had a response.
I also just discovered that the rear light panel bumper has cracks in it and has been siliconed up.
This van was used so we cant expect as-new BUT it wasnt cheap so we expected more attention to detail when preparing this and things like a cracked bumper and mouldy seat to be addressed but there appears no effort to actually rectify issues.
Secondhand motor home from Knowepark
We have just bought a secondhand motorhome from Knowepark and the whole experience was brilliant.
Knowing virtually nothing about the whole world of motor homes, Julie guided us through the salient points in a professional and friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble, and her approach was honest and informative. The technical team were great – the test drive and the functional demonstration were really good and a minor technical issue was sorted with one call. They made a real effort to make the vehicle look pristine - it came with new tyres, batteries and all mot advisories done.
Its early days but we feel it has been a great start.

Purchased a new motorhome and here we are 6 months later still waiting on warranty work being carried out. There has been a list of issues from the moment we started to purchase the motorhome. Given wrong price, wrong info about it, wrong information at handover, wiring issues the list goes on. I will be posting details of our experience on various forums and rather than leave a negative review people can make their own mind up. (Elddis Motorhomers on FB, Elddis themselves etc )
Five Star Customer Service
We came across Knowepark Caravans & Motorhomes at the recent Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show at the SEC in Glasgow. We bought a Swift Motorhome from Knowepark and found Julie to be very approachable, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We were trading in our motorhome in part exchange and Julie was on hand from day one with her expert advice and knowledge. The whole process has been extremely smooth and worry free. Julie even organised transport for us to the nearest railway station when we traded in our own motorhome. In our opinion Knowepark go above and beyond for their customers and ALL of their staff show exceptional customer care skills.
Excellent Customer Service
We bought a new caravan from Knowepark and had the pleasure of dealing with Julie. She was very knowledgable and professional and showed us some models to suit our needs. Through out the purchase process Julie was always very prompt replying to questions we had and made sure everything was taken care of from the paperwork to the pickup. Her customer service really stood out and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. When we finally picked up the caravan she passed us over to Ian who was very knowledgeable and walked us through how everything worked.
Overall we had a great experience and would not hesitate recommending Knowepark to anyone looking for a caravan.

The sales representative Ron Cruickshanks, was an absolute gem. This is out first Caravan and Ron couldn't have been more attentive and patient with us. In fact, the whole experience was applaudable from start to finish. Even the hand over handled by the service department (Ian) was fantastic. We can highly recommend Ron to help you choose your next holiday home on wheels.
Total Professionals.
I was looking to buy an older caravan,,one that had been traded in, I was expecting the minimum of information due to it being an old , cheap , van.
What I experienced from Julie was nothing short of a friendly professional service, I was treated with a warm approach, full disclosure of information about the purchase, on Julies days off Alan was very helpful with my questions and processed my payment without any hiccups whatsoever.
I could not recommend Knowepark highly enough, their team, from reception, through sales, and the excellent shop team have a wealth of friendly advice on hand to help you on your way.

Exemplary service
Took my Hymer in today for the fitting of a wifi system and whilst there mentioned an issue I had discovered with the water system which they agreed to take a look at as well. The wifi system fitting was going to take a couple of hours but with the water system investigation maybe not being able to be looked at today I had a logistical problem of how to get from the dealership to my car which had been left at my motorhome storage site about 5 miles away and then home about 18 miles from there and then how would I arrange to collect the motorhome next week, take it back to the storage site and get home. Not a problem. Grant, in the accessory and repair centre, arranged a lift for me to the storage site and will arrange for me to be picked up from the storage site when my motorhome is ready for collection. Above & beyond are the two words which spring to mind when I consider the service from Knowepark.

Our contact was Julie who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and she kept us updated throughout the buying process. John also gave us a very detailed demonstration of the vehicle. Knowepark for 5 Star Service
We’ve been using Knowepark for both Sales and Servicing ever since we started caravanning 20 years ago. Their customer service is first class. On the Sales side we recently bought a new van from Julie, and she is so helpful and really on the ball with everything. She is so quick to respond to any emails, and kept us fully updated on the progress of our new van as it was being built. Absolutely first class service from start to finish.
On our first outing with the new van we discovered a few minor issues, as can be expected. Knowepark told us to bring the van straight in, and they had fixed all the issues within 2 days. Outstanding service.
I must also give a mention to Russell in the Service Dept, who we have dealt with for many years. He has fixed so many little issues for us, and similar to Julie his approach to customer service is exemplary. No problem is too much trouble.
I honestly wouldn't consider buying a van from anywhere else. Knowepark cannot be beaten.
Knowepark Caravans AVOID!
I have been buying cars for 40 years & this is undoubtedly the worst experience I’ve had. Attempted to purchase a new Bailey motorhome which they have on site but Steven the salesman needed to speak to his boss before selling. Two days later he eventually managed to speak to his boss. Called this morning with a load of waffle saying they had decided not to sell the van. Couldn’t give a toss attitude. God knows what their after sales service is like. I’ll take my money elsewhere. Complete waste of time (130 mile round trip), avoid.
