The Grand Slam Alaska tour was flawless. Our tour guide Jeremy couldn’t have been any better. His knowledge of all things Alaska added to the beauty! All accommodations were excellent. Loved the variety from first class hotels to cabins on the hillside in Palmer. The restaurants some of which were off the beaten path were super! Everything was organized and well planned. The size of the group was perfect! Thank you!

We were able to experience much more than if we went on our own. The tour was well organized and our tour guides were Alaskan natives and were able to relate the behind the scenes of how people live in Alaska on a personal level.

Great, experiences on our Untamed Alaska Tour with John Hall's Kiss Alaska. John Hall's staff took care of every detail along the way on our 11-day trip. Our Guide, Gwen, was absolutely the best -- her knowledge of Alaska was tremendous. Our Cordova fishing excursion was amazing! We caught plenty of salmon, halibut, rock fish, and cod. Highlights also included our journey in Valdez on Prince William Sound on the Lu-Lu Belle. Captain Fred got us so close to the glacier and stopped numerous times along the way to get up close to the wildlife. Vern Halter's Dream a Dream Dog Sled Kennel visit was such an amazing opportunity to learn first-hand the intricacies of sled dog racing and listen to experiences of seasoned racers including Vern Halter and Cindy Abbott who have both run the Iditarod and relayed details of their experiences. We had too many other great experiences on this tour to list them all, but I highly recommend this trip!

They thought of and covered EVERY detail, I swear our tour guide (Gwen) even had the power to que sunshine at the right time! Absolutely loved the entire trip and their attention to detail, thanks for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip the trip of a lifetime!

We were treated just as expected from personal experience received by family (Kathryn) and our phone/web interfaces with you. And our guides (Bill and Danielle) were so much fun. It was a wonderful way to experience Alaska in a way we never had in our many cruise/land tours from the large cruise companies.

The company delivered excellent service at all points. From the time we were picked up at the airport (12:30 AM by the owner's daughter and son), to all the modes of transportation, lodging, food, activities-it was all first class. I highly recommend John Hall's Alaska. We have gone on other escorted tours, but this was the best. Very impressive. We recommend JHA to anyone wanting to go to Alaska. When we told some friends about our trip, they said they had gone on an Alaskan cruise. They said their experience was like looking in the windows of the store, but we actually went into the store. We wanted to see wild Alaska, and we did, thanks to JHA. It was everything we were looking for, and then more.

Great people

The small group was exactly what we were looking for. The tour guide (Rose) and bus driver (Larry) were fabulous. Rose kept us entertained with information about Alaska and jokes. Larry was a wonderful driver and maneuvered that bus better than I've ever seen. He was ready to stop at the side of the road for our photo ops. If I were to change anything it would be perhaps an option to opt out of certain meals (perhaps for a small discount). It took me awhile to get it into my head that I didn't have to eat at every meal. LOL. Most of the food offered was fabulous. There were a few that my husband and I didn't care for. Maybe we're just picky.

We felt so well taken care of and in good hands. It was so nice to have someone else take the stress of making and carrying out all the travel arrangements and accommadations.

This was our bucket list trip of a lifetime, so we wanted to make sure we got a true Alaska experience. John Hall's gave us that and so much more! Every excursion was well-planned and so much fun. Even the travel days were enjoyable with a comfortable motor coach, beautiful scenery, and interesting stops along the way. We really hit the jackpot with Larry as our driver and Rose as our guide. They took such good care of us and were truly a joy to travel with! For those considering add-on excursions, please splurge and take a helicopter flight to one of the glaciers! We took a flight to a glacier where we were able to ride a dog sled. From the air, we saw two black bears and a bull moose. And the views! The beauty of Alaska is even more magnificent when you're viewing it from a helicopter. We've already recommended John Hall's to a neighbor who is looking to visit Alaska next summer and will continue to recommend the company to anyone who asks. Thank you, John Hall's Alaska for making our dream trip even grander than expected!

One of the best organized most complete tours I have ever experienced. Alaska offers breathtaking scenery, John Hall exposes you to it in a first class way. Everything is covered in your fee, everything. Meals are 5 star, accommodations are good (your in Alaska), excursions were memorable. I highly recommend John Hall and have two couples who are already booking with them next year.

An extremely well planned trip, a great value. Loved the trip and the guides. Saw so much more than I could have expected. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service and accommodations

We were on the Untamed Alaska tour in June. It was fantastic. It was our first trip to Alaska and the tour provided an opportunity to see so many interesting areas and wildlife. We did not have to lift a finger after we arrived in Anchorage. John Hall took great care of us and were very detail oriented. They provided windbreaker which we kind of chuckled about but ended up using every day, a duffle bag because one leg of the trip we were limited as to how much luggage we could take, and meal vouchers so that you had a choice of where you wanted to eat. The food was excellent but maybe too much. Accommodations were excellent. Time spent in each town was adequate. The size (number of people) on the tour was just right. Our tour manager Jeremy Riddle took great care of us, was an excellent driver and very informative.

This trip exceeded my expectations and overall was fabulous! We are so glad we picked John Hall’s Untamed Alaska experience. It was an educational, fun, and stress free way to visit Alaska for our first time. Everything from the well thought out itinerary (with pick your own adventure days), included meals, small group size, unique and lovely accommodations, comfortable transportation, organized and friendly tour manager, schedules, handling of luggage, tips, and other perks were great! It was also quite impressive that Elizabeth Hall personally greeted us upon arrival-nice touch! The only thing that was not perfect-but not really a fault of John Hall’s trip- is that I did have a couple of “almost serious incidents with a food allergy/improper preparation of food” related to a serious food allergy/medical condition) at two places where we had vouchers to eat on our own. Fortunately, errors were caught and I did not have any reactions. Where food was prepared specifically for our group, I was grateful for how there were special accommodations for my gluten free needs-that was exceptional. Thank you for that!

The tour was everything we wanted. A great experience due to well planned , fun & interesting events. Food was amazing & PLENTIFUL!! Our tour guide Gwen was extremely knowledgeable, fun & organized.
